James Yeager saved my life. I was 650lbs when James started his "Biggest Losers" contest. I ended up winning that challenge and won a year of free training. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of the free training because I was still way to large and out of shape to be able to participate. But because of that competition he literally saved my life. He gave me the knowledge and the belief in myself that I could keep going. So far I've lost half of my weight. I was on disability from the time I was 14yrs old and because of this I was able to go to school and follow my dreams in to EMS. I'm currently a Oregon EMT Intermediate and in paramedic school. If it wasn't for James help I probably would have been 700 to 800lbs and most likely dead. I will miss James and I know so many of use will. Thank you James for being my inspiration to get healthy and follow my dreams.
I also learned so much from James. Only through you tube.. He reminded me of my close mentor and uncle whom had a way of teaching and delivering his knowledge to me. I didn't get to train with James and regret not getting to meet him. Condolences to his family, friends , and the communities he served with.
He was the 1st 2A guy I ever found on RUclips. He could be abrasive AF at times, but he was never boring. May he RIP. Sending comfort to his friends and family.
He could be that way sometimes, but I remember his video (a bit later than the first one) about how all handguns should be Glocks, all Glocks should be 9mm, and all 9mm Glocks should be Glock 19s- and then he showed a variety of 9mm guns that match that role which weren't Glock guns. To me, it made sense- if you're going into a relatively large city with a crime problem, your concerns are different than bear country or other dangerous wildlife, capacity might be more important with a group of thugs, and so forth. He definitely knew what he was talking about, and I guess he died over there advising Ukrainians- no matter how the war ends, that man did what he could trying to advise conscripts and partisans and paramilitaries in the proper tactics. Against an overwhelming force. We should never forget that. Because the whole point of the Second Amendment is that instead of a large standing army, we should have competent militiamen, and he went over there and tought those young men how to fight. He is no longer with us, but his spirit and example lives on.

I commented on one of James videos on the 40sw in defense of the round, I had been fanboying a glock27. Great tribute Sootch. Never met or knew the man personally, but I was a subscriber to his channel for a long time. I especially liked his collaborations with John and Clint. It also says a lot when a person like Clint Smith said what he did about Yeager. The man was an inspiration and continues to be one. 🇺🇲
James’s lecture on day two of fighting pistol is the best part of the class. He really changed peoples paradigm when he gave that lecture. He will be missed but I agree his school will continue to be the staple for firearms training for years to come.
I watched James for many years, he was indeed larger than life. Wish I had made it to Tactical Response while he was living, but I still want to go there.
Never met Yeager. But the man changed my life in all reality. He’s the reason I got interested in training and ultimately got into the training world. I now have 40 something classes done and it’s changed my life. All because of a man I never met. That’s how powerful of a influence he had on the world. We all lost a good one. Thanks for the tribute.

I've taken 3 tactical response classes here in Texas, fighting pistol twice, and fighting rifle. Unfortunately James wasn't there for either fighting pistol class, but he was there when I took fighting rifle, and I truly feel honored to have had the chance to meet him. He even helped me rig my sling back up after I had a factory installed QD swivle grenade itself haha he really was everything everyone says that he was and then some.
I've bin following James for well over 10 years. What a guy, anyone who had problems with James had internal problems preventing them from seeing he was a real one. He will be missed by so many people.
I met him once at a NRA event. He motioned for me to come join in conversation with a couple others. He was warm, personable, and engaging. Not to mention a wealth of knowledge he so generously shared.
Never went to tac response, but James was a big influence on me when I was younger and needed to learn. I always understood James the way you do. The guy didn't have a mean bone in his body, but was stubborn. I noticed James had a lot of respect for Clint at Thunder Ranch, which also turned me on to "gun culture" if you will. Also John from SOE. James had an influence on most of the gear/firearms I own. It wasn't so much that I went out and bought things he recommended, although I do own a G19 because of James, but it was more so his philosophy. Whatever wisdom James could pass on to the next generation, he made sure we knew about it. James had a huge impact on the world, and that's his legacy. I didn't know James personally, but if he had that big of an impact on complete strangers, I'm sure he had an even bigger impact on his friends and family. R.I.P James.

I really loved James Yeager, and I appreciate this video to show what kind of a guy he was. And it goes miles to show what a great friend you are!
Terribly sorry for your loss Don, he sounded like an amazing individual
Thank you for shedding light on this great man. Tribute and respect to him as he rests in peace. My condolences and wish for strength for his family.
Great tribute Sootch. Never met or knew the man personally, but I was a subscriber to his channel for a long time. I especially liked his collaborations with John and Clint. It also says a lot when a person like Clint Smith said what he did about Yeager. The man was an inspiration and continues to be one. 🇺🇲
Good Tribute Sootch. Thanks for covering another great man’s legacy. Keep up the good work.
God bless you James you will be missed.
Would love to go to Tactical Response. I learned a lot from you and James.
We need more men like James. Solid and caring are wonderful traits. Remember that!
The man will be missed dearly.
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been watching you and James for as long as I can remember. Appreciate all that he’s done and what you’ve done. Keep it going!
Any 2A freedom lover is a friend of mine and I always support and like their vids. We need to stick together y'all
Sootch00, thank you for this tribute to James Yeager. I have watched, enjoyed and learned from the videos both of you have done over the years. I appreciate both you sootch00 and James for caring enough to share your skill and knowledge with the rest of us, thank you and James, RIP.
Great tribute for a brother in kind. James had a blatant honesty about him that reminded me of my father and is rarity in this day and age.
I've bin following James for well over 10 years. What a guy, anyone who had problems with James had internal problems preventing them from seeing he was a real one. He will be missed by so many people.
Awesome tribute to James. Thank you for doing that.
He will be missed for sure.
Unfortunately you're right, the trully heroes are always missed.
only by those who LARP at the range on the weekends
@@USAVET11B20 close it now. Kthx 🤡
@Master General do you believe the bullshits that Steve Turley says?
@Master General AwakenWithJP republic saving comedy youtuber
I met him once at a NRA event. He motioned for me to come join in conversation with a couple others. He was warm, personable, and engaging. Not to mention a wealth of knowledge he so generously shared.
Awesome tribute, thanks Don for this. You’re so right about James.
RIP Mr. Yeager. You are part of the reason I am the man I am today.🙏
Thanks for sharing Sootch he was a great guy and will be missed.
Be strong, be a good courage, God bless America, long live to Republic!
Joshua 1:9 that is the Bible verse to be strong and of good courage
Thanks, Don. James was one in 330 million. Keep up the good work. I appreciate you.
I’ll miss James. I know we all will. He was a great man. Rest In Peace, James.
God bless both of your families!!!
I couldn't imagine greater tribute!!!
Thank you!!!
He deserved it!!
You are a true friend!!! And a good man!!!
This was so thoughtful. It celebrated the life, well done Sootch!
I have been a follower of your channel for awhile. thank you for all that you have done. thank you for sharing about james.
Didn't care much for him and his pompous, self aggrandizing manner but I respect his contributions to our cause. May he RIP.
RIP Warrior... it's our watch now.
R.I.P To the legend
P.S .40 still sucks
I consider myself lucky to have known him. He really was a great guy. Thanks for sharing Sootch.
