I wonder. Can you use PSVR with a 5.1 speaker system instead of the earplugs? I don't like earplugs or headphones but I am thinking it should be more realistic to actually hear the sound in the space and hear sound from different physical location than having the sound directly into the ears with fake or virtual surround which don't work that well or not nearly as well as a speaker setup, imo.
Well you can change your position in the cockpit by moving your head closer or further before pressing calibration button within the game settings from the previously opened menu (in the opposite way you want the results to be, so clear for further away view and vice versa). You kind of have to press it blindly though. There's a video on RUclips showing this hack.
The wait? My guy, we've been having the same experience design-wise for *years* in GT Sport with the same wheel, same missing in-race data & everything? No hardware limitations this time but still, design-wise it's inherently identical is all.
@@GeekStreet It's a slight upwards inflection at the end of each line, no to the point of being uptalk but for your audience it does get a bit distracting
Do you have 120hz forced on? It's in settings. Secondly always do lens adjustment before gaming. Eye tracking needs reset up everytime you put the headset on.
I like this video, finally some trough the lens and a real opinion on how GT7+PSVR2 looks in detail. G29 is a pretty good entrance wheel combined with for example Assetto Corsa competzione, Auto Mobilista 2, Project cars 2, Dirt rally 2. Sadly in GT7 the FFB feels very weak and underwhelming to me when i am coming from the other titles. Im still hoping GT7 FFB will improve.
@@olavofernandes7286 Get out of here. I have talked to a lot of people on reddit and while GT7 feels ok with a DD wheel. coming back from other sims with good/great FFB even a DD wheel will feel lacking in GT7 compared to the other titles because the FFB information is simply not there. Its also outrageous that you should need to plunge out for a DD wheel in the first place to feel something in a racing game don't you think ? Polyphony made the FFB feel seriously weak on purpose and i m totally disappointed as i cant feel the road and my Gt3 cars overall feels dead. My newly purchased and incoming T300 will probably make GT7 FFB feel better but my other sim racing titles such as ACC, AMS 2, Dirt ETC will get a much better boost in the FFB department and returning to GT7 will still feel underwhelming after playing titles with superior FFB: I love playing GT7 online, i just hope Polyphony fixes they're horrible FFB in my favorite online racing game.
I'm a PS fanboy and diehard PS5 player, but my god the PSVR 2 is so incredibly grainy when playing that it almost feels disrespectful to a game like GT7's graphics. You can tell the graphics are good, but it's like viewing them through fogged glass. If you're buying a PSVR2, please just know this. I sold mine within a week of getting it because of how bad the lenses were.
The graininess on the PSVR2’s lenses because of the excess green LED’s in the PSVR2’s OLED display drives me crazy - BUT I have learned that if I wear sunglasses (ideally with a green outside but the inside of the sunglasses looks normal with no green tint) it completely makes the grain go away and looks like the sharpest VR image I’ve ever seen. So I recommend that for everyone. Try to get shades that aren’t too dark tho. If we can get green-light blocking glasses I think that would be best however because that wouldn’t darken the rest of the experience. I have looked everywhere though and don’t know that it exists 😭
PSVR2 G29 ‼️ Never used VR. but do have a G29 steering wheel , pedals & shifter . Been using them now for around 5 of so years & still like new 👍👍 for the money I just don't think you can go wrong.
I absolutely HATE gt7 with psvr2. I love playing with my t300 Ferrari alcantara wheel + TH8A shifter, but the VR just makes me motion sick and way slower. The graphics are turned down and don't look nearly as nice as a 4K TV. I have enjoyed other VR games like Half Life Alyx.
Love how you say "thankyou to playstation for gifting me this headset... but all my opinions are my own" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 load of crap! If Sony doesn't like what you say... NO MORE GIFTS FOR YOU!
if u can overcome cybersickness, definitely worth it. gt7 is so great but after 2 days I confirmed myself unable to overcome it. I therfore sold it. the experience on racing game is completely a great experience
@@jasonchan74jcls it's certainly baby steps form some. I know people who run VR RUclips channels and they would get to the point of vomiting and be messed up for an entire day afterwards. Everyone did eventually overcome it, but their initial tactic seems to be: "I'm playing this game, it's great, wow, I feel a little sick, woo what's in there? That looks cool, wow I'm starting to sweat, EAT THAT ZOMBIE... ok I'm gonna puke I gotta stop" And that only seems to speed up the process in the future. Those that overcame it took baby steps, playing for 10 minutes at a time. Then 15. The instant the slightest hint sea sickness/VR sickness hit they would stop and pick it up again several hours later or even the next day. It's a matter of getting the brain to accept this world. Your body is looking for signals that aren't there, the vibration/gforce of the car, the depth perception isn't exactly normal, when I move my hand to scratch my face it's not the same etc. The body goes ".. oh shit.. I think we ate some poisonous mushrooms and we're trippin balls son! Stomach. Puke this shit up!"
just take dramamine. it's totally worth it. I used to get that "seasickness' when I started VR flight sim on the PC. Just take it 15-30 minutes prior and you'll be fine.
Do not under any circumstances buy a Logitech g29. Just buy the fanatec dd or another direct drive. If you drive with any conviction at all the g29 won’t last a year.
Good video. However. I couldn’t help but notice that you mentioned wearing this headset with glasses multiple times throughout the video. I understand you got your product for free . But a disclaimer for those that spent $600 after tax on this to be careful would be nice . They scratch very easily with glasses and has happened to many users attempting that . Use contact lenses if you can . Or buy spacers.
If you prefer a manual in real life, absolutely get the shifter, don't listen to this guy. Also, the t300rs kit from thrustmaster with a th8-a is miles better, with more natural feeling force feedback and a much better shifter... but is also about twice as much money.
As somewhat of a VR veteran,I urge prospective buyers of PSVR2 or any VR for that matter, not to expect 4K-like quality from any VR display. VR is for the fantastic immersion that really blows your mind the first time you try it give, a flat screen will never give you that experience A good VR headset(PSVR2 is very good) has plenty of clarity(maybe somewhere just below a 1440p flatscreen equivalent) for all types of games including sim racing.
Thank you! This is exactly what people should understand is that these headsets aren’t meant to give life like graphics it’s meant to put you in the game and interact in a way that you could only dream of. It truly is an incredible experience especially when playing game’s designed for the headset like call of the mountain that game actually has an incredibly sharp image quality when compared to a quest 2.
@@Coxy-b34 that's not going to be true for everyone. Blanket statements like that are why so many get disappointed or confused by VR. It's 100% subjective. Some will agree with you, many will flat out disagree. Flat gamers don't have this problem, what everyone sees on a monitor will be the same experience for everyone
How come absolutely every content creator and every streamers says so many good thing about them but yet they only made a video and never have used it again? Im not trying to come across rude or as if it is not a great product, I do not know but what I do know is why do all these people that race and stream everyday and even though they own and have a psvr2 they do not use it but only once to make a video .... why? That is my question why not use it if it is sooooo amazing and such a great product?
This is nice but I like my 20/20 vision, looking at a screen for hours is already draining enough for them. VR just makes my eyes water just thinking about it.
so with the psvr2 you are forced into the in car view and cant use the external views? I tend to dislike the in car views or cockpit view in flight games. now granted with the vr headset its easier to look around and different scale, but I still like the option to get rid of the restricted views if I want.
Why do you raise your voice at the end of every sentance, almost like you're asking a question, going up an octave. No one speaks liek that IRL, and it made me and all my mates on our discord remove your channel from our recommended.
Absolutely not worth it, the force feedback in gt7 is a joke, game looks nice, it's immersive, all you want but ffb is absolutely horrible, also that thing costs more than the console itself, horrible
Not really. Have gotten use to this look flying FPV drones. I wear goggles out in public that look very much the same with a big remote control in my hands when I fly my quadcopter. But it's well worth it when you are 2 miles out at 400 feet up.
@@rocketpunchgo1 still more expensive though. Plus PSVR2 is above 3090ti territory, according to Pavlov devs. So you’re paying more for lower hardware and lower headset.
Vr2 is good fun but you have to get it just right on your head or the writing can get a little blurry, pretty strange really considering how much they cost
Currently using the G923. After trying Gran Turismo out on the PSVR2....i think i'll stick to playing it on the TV. I generally don't get VR sickness at all but damn...i totally did with this one.
It gets better over time. It helps to eat chewing gum while playing and stop If you feel sick and take a break Believe me, it gets better and its worth it :).
Yup… I have a vive on the pc that I’ve had for ages, admittedly I’ve not used it in the last couple of years but when my psvr2 arrived the other day I got is set up, jumped into my sim seat with the fanatec, got to the first corner, anchored on and before turning felt instantly sick from the lack of feedback, my brain just went to mush and felt like I wanted to puke and I have many hours in VR but GT7 just didn’t sit well with me, I’ll try again this week but daaaaamn 😢
@@tilly6520 is the wheel worth it? Or do you feel it would be best to save a few more hundreds and get something like a fanatec in the future? Especially if they release more PSVR rasing games need for speed etc. Where does the g924 fall short (if at all) in your opinion? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
psvr2 g29 I've played Horizon in sessions of 4 hours, I played Moss for hours, both without issue. But when playing GT7 with the PSVR2 and and the PS5 controller, I had to stop after 30 mins because I started to feel nauseated. I'm gonna look for the steering wheel, I hope that it will help, as you suggested.
I've got the same setup (except the race seat which I home made) and the wheel definitely makes quite a difference. I was playing using the motion controller as a virtual wheel and triggers as throttle and brake. The one thing I found as a negative of the wheel over the controller is the lack of feedback in the throttle and brake. I could brake more effectively in all conditions with the controller as I could feel what the brakes were doing. Had the same thing with throttle in the wet, you can feel where the bite ends. The pedals just felt a bit passive by comparison. That being said, it did feel pretty good using a wheel and pedals, just need to work around the pedals issue somehow. If anyone has any ideas, that would be awesome :)
@@onixxx1984 if anything it shows just how well the game has been adapted to play on standard controllers that you can get so much information about the car just from the controller. Haptic pedals would be really cool though. Admittedly a seat mover would be more accurate but that's a £5k venture which is more than I want to invest in virtual fun
Well... if you are used to True 4K HDR monitors like me (I have the PG32UQX which is the best of the market right now for HDR content) the PSVR2 will look shitty to you in comparison.
How does GT7 + PSVR2 compare with Assetto Corsa Competizione VR + say HP Reverb G2 headset if you've had both? I have the latter setup for PC and wanted to know which one provides more realistic immersion. As far as my experience with ACC + HP, it's a great experience.
Great video. But a message for the public regarding the H pattern shifter. If you truly drive stick, then muscle memory should do you just fine without eye sight on the shifter. I love the H-pattern shifter even more now for gaming with the VR set.
@J. B. Bost Also, how did the subject of shifter suck come into mind when I was speaking about the issue of not being able to see the shifter? Just curious.

I have the same Wheel and Pedals and was thinking about doing it. How are your eyes adjusting? Is it fun?
Just wondering, is there a sense that with the VR2 that the game World is more 3D?
Due to the stereo vision of the vr2?
Thanks!
Wtf, why is the title in german but not a single german word was spoken??!?!?!
I think it would be fun if the option of having a hot woman sitting in the passenger seat with you while your racing.
🤣
Can't you make a video on gaming on a Xbox 360 for the whole day with Logitech
🤔
My exact setup. Definitely worth it lol
🥳
WOW 👑SONY GOD FOREVER#1 ✌️ 👑
My god everything you say sounds like a question
😳🤔
Lmao 😂
@@GeekStreet It's a slight upwards inflection at the end of each line, no to the point of being uptalk but for your audience it does get a bit distracting
The overall construction of the video though is top notch!
@@JBBost This. Good video overall
FFB feels good in gran turismo 7 with correct wheel
@@olavofernandes7286 Get out of here.
I have talked to a lot of people on reddit and while GT7 feels ok with a DD wheel. coming back from other sims with good/great FFB even a DD wheel will feel lacking in GT7 compared to the other titles because the FFB information is simply not there. Its also outrageous that you should need to plunge out for a DD wheel in the first place to feel something in a racing game don't you think ?
Polyphony made the FFB feel seriously weak on purpose and i m totally disappointed as i cant feel the road and my Gt3 cars overall feels dead. My newly purchased and incoming T300 will probably make GT7 FFB feel better but my other sim racing titles such as ACC, AMS 2, Dirt ETC will get a much better boost in the FFB department and returning to GT7 will still feel underwhelming after playing titles with superior FFB:
I love playing GT7 online, i just hope Polyphony fixes they're horrible FFB
in my favorite online racing game.
Even with a Fanatec GT DD Pro FFB is weak. It's GT7's fault, not the wheel@@olavofernandes7286
With how good vr2 looks I can imagine that the vr3 will be a true game changer in gaming paired with a ps6 most likely by then 🤯
I've been waiting for this!!
Let's go!!!
I aswell have the g29 wheel and VR2 and am looking forward to playing gt7 for sure💯👍
wish the vr2 can be cheaper .
Pls do a big psvr2 vs psvr1 comparison 🙏🙏
PSVR2 G29 ‼️
Never used VR. but do have a G29 steering wheel , pedals & shifter .
Fantastic video
❤️
if u can overcome cybersickness, definitely worth it. gt7 is so great but after 2 days I confirmed myself unable to overcome it. I therfore sold it. the experience on racing game is completely a great experience
Oh no! I'm sorry man. Is this your first VR headset?
Yes, kind of, previously played samsung vr for phones but also got dizzy quickly. 😭
That looks cool, wow I'm starting to sweat, EAT THAT ZOMBIE... ok I'm gonna puke I gotta stop"
And that only seems to speed up the process in the future.
@5:18..... Who's Froo?
😳🤔🤔
Good video. Or buy spacers.
abolutely i love it
🥳
Ps vr2 baybeeeeee! Thinking about getting this. One of the only Ps vr2 games I don't have. Ragnarock is amazing! Pavlov is king of all games vr.
If you prefer a manual in real life, absolutely get the shifter, don't listen to this guy. Also, the t300rs kit from thrustmaster with a th8-a is miles better, with more natural feeling force feedback and a much better shifter... but is also about twice as much money.
That setup is probably $2,000.00 !!
Sad that not everyone has the chance of enjoying a hobby in that level of immersion!!!
Those oled screens alone make the psvr worth it.
💯
As somewhat of a VR veteran,I urge prospective buyers of PSVR2 or any VR for that matter, not to expect 4K-like quality from any VR display.
VR is for the fantastic immersion that really blows your mind the first time you try it give, a flat screen will never give you that experience
A good VR headset(PSVR2 is very good) has plenty of clarity(maybe somewhere just below a 1440p flatscreen equivalent) for all types of games including sim racing.
Thanks that's exactly what I wanted to highlight.
It's got 39 games coming out so far.
@@dbzcollector9963 I have a high res PC headset(Reverb G2) and a Quest 2 and PSVR ieasily has a better display than both of those headsets.
Im not trying to come across rude or as if it is not a great product, I do not know but what I do know is why do all these people that race and stream everyday and even though they own and have a psvr2 they do not use it but only once to make a video .... why? That is my question why not use it if it is sooooo amazing and such a great product?
awesome, I wish I have budget to built this setup😅😅😅
Why nobody answer my question? I want to know if i can wear my eyeglasses with VR. Nobody seems to be wearing eyeglasses anymore these fucking days?
Absolutely not worth it, the force feedback in gt7 is a joke, game looks nice, it's immersive, all you want but ffb is absolutely horrible, also that thing costs more than the console itself, horrible
Insipid review. All you do is read specs and say “it’s good.” Your entire review could have been written by chatgpt.
This is equal parts absurd and incredible!
I LOVE it and I can’t wait to try it. But one looks ABSURD connected to everything 😂😂😂
Not really. Have gotten use to this look flying FPV drones. I wear goggles out in public that look very much the same with a big remote control in my hands when I fly my quadcopter. But it's well worth it when you are 2 miles out at 400 feet up.
Yes, if you have the money for it.
$500 PS5
$550 PSVR2
$250 G29
$250 (cheap) racing rig
PCVR:
$1500 computer
$1500 VR headset
@@JBBost My Quest2 cost $300 and works amazingly well.
My $1,000 PC (with RTX2070Super VR capable gpu) is optional.
TY
PSVR2 G29... 🔥🔥🔥
You say it fits Lewis how's the stench of plastic on me snout? So you can't give F1 the finger ecclestone
PS VR 2 G29.
Do you recomend this stearing wheel to play GT7 with ps vr2?
What is the best stearing wheel for in your opinion?
Personally I'd say the Logitech G Pro wheel would be the best, the G29 is an entry level wheel.
Currently using the G923. After trying Gran Turismo out on the PSVR2....i think i'll stick to playing it on the TV. I generally don't get VR sickness at all but damn...i totally did with this one.
It gets better over time.
It helps to eat chewing gum while playing and stop If you feel sick and take a break
Believe me, it gets better and its worth it :).
$2500 set up to play one game… damn
😳🤔
psvr2 g29
I've played Horizon in sessions of 4 hours, I played Moss for hours, both without issue.
But when playing GT7 with the PSVR2 and and the PS5 controller, I had to stop after 30 mins because I started to feel nauseated.
I'm gonna look for the steering wheel, I hope that it will help, as you suggested.
Playgroundgames has to implement a VR Feature into Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport!!
If they release Cyberpunk 2077 in VR, I'm gonna lose my mind.
you need at least a G923 , trueforce really is a game changer specially for GT7
how to conect PS VR2 with pc and play steam games??make a video plz
psvr g29 really good thnx
❤️
Adaptive brakes would be awesome, so that they simulate ABS and real brake fade, but as far as I know there is no such thing out there.
Bro really called it grainy… his eyes are spoiled by all the billion dollar monitors.
💯
Well... if you are used to True 4K HDR monitors like me (I have the PG32UQX which is the best of the market right now for HDR content) the PSVR2 will look shitty to you in comparison.
@@alleksfc1167 but like 1 of those or 3? and im sure each one of those monitors are ike more expensive than the headset.
@@raiuusagi9299 all three together and yeah they are not cheap but if you have one like me then you dont lose anything from VR lol
How does GT7 + PSVR2 compare with Assetto Corsa Competizione VR + say HP Reverb G2 headset if you've had both? I have the latter setup for PC and wanted to know which one provides more realistic immersion. As far as my experience with ACC + HP, it's a great experience.
misleading title. spends whole video telling us other things we already know.
Great video. But a message for the public regarding the H pattern shifter. If you truly drive stick, then muscle memory should do you just fine without eye sight on the shifter. I love the H-pattern shifter even more now for gaming with the VR set.
Lol it’s true I just got the H shifter for this game and I can use it without looking. I haven’t driven a standard car in over a decade too.
But all the shifters are so expensive though and none of them look any good =(. I have the T248 and my shifter is literally 200 bucks
@J. B. Bost have you tried the Fanatec shifter? I personally enjoy it. There are no hiccups so far. I've had it for over a year.
@J. B. Bost Also, how did the subject of shifter suck come into mind when I was speaking about the issue of not being able to see the shifter? Just curious.
Cool video bro
Thanks!
Its very distracting that always and everything moving in the car. Vomit…
So I NEED a steering wheel to play. I can't use the Psvr2 remotes ???
You can use the DualSense controller, you don’t need a wheel
Psvr2 g29!
Got a g29 and pedals for $100 today! Can’t wait to get off work and jump in
Nice! ❤️
No way, I just got that same seat with the Thrusmaster SF1000! 😉
It isn't. PSVR2 is anothe Sony scam. Like the PS Vita and PS TV.
I bought 1 and i used it once and now its just sat back in its box doing nothing.
That wire going wrong way inside the "halo" was really distracting...
I absolutely endorse playing the PSVR2 with my 659 games it supports out the box! Best £549 I’ve ever spent. Then I woke up and bought a new Graphics card that DOES support every friggin game made with mind blowing Ray Tracing, 4K @60FPS for the same price……the end
😳😂😂
"The same price" 😂
