@@rosesbloomtulips If you ever notice your skin or eyes or lungs get irritated after going to a pool or being exposed to pool water, it is almost always because of the chlorine. Swim in Salt Water and you just won't have the same problem, and salt is pretty good at cleaning water. But pools use chlorine instead of salt cuz it's cheaper.

Squid ward A couple nukes or even a dozen wouldn't affect the world majorly by themselves. Radiation from a nuke especially if it is an air burst explosion dissipates immensely fast, hell after 14 years the area would probably be habitable again. It's nuclear reactors melting down and their fuel being left behind or a huge majority of nukes going off that would leave radioactivity for centuries.
What would be bad is if the U.S and Russia would release the thousands of war heads they have (tens of thousands during the cold war). But a couple wouldn't fuck the planet up to bad, the U.S and soviets detonated hundreds during the 20 century for testing.

@@sfg1877 think of time as +1 dimension. For out 3D spatial world time is 3+1 so 4th dimension. For a 4D spatial world time is 4+1 so 5th dimension and so one. Its a way of representing the passage of entropy through a system. That is still not entirely accurate, but most simplifications aren't.

Totes. I sometimes cringe when I hear him answer questions with a snark, but as a public figure, he's probably asked these oh so simple science questions on an hourly basis.
They select the questions from millions of entries. Its done intentionally to play down the intelligence of the general public. Kind of an insult to OUR intelligence. Thats why you put Nye on a pedistool, because you cant dissagree with logic and common sense. But in actuality Bill is just a regular nobody that got a spot on tv.

The green sky theory holds serious merit too. It's a very real danger. See, when clouds of debris and particulate get swept into the sky by funnel clouds in tornadoes, every now and then, the sky in the immediate vicinity of the tornado will turn green from the added reflection/refraction of the particles in the air. Global Warming and heavy pollution could very well make a semi-permanent increase in the molecule density of the air with a similar effect.

Would you be able to see what's at the bottom of the pond? The answer is no, even though the water is clear, it is dark. It is dark because it isn't bright, not because it isn't clear.
