The little bit of natural tremolo he has in his singing voice is pure gold.

The girl I was seeing at the time put it on a mix CD for me. Now we’ve been married for over ten years. Hearing this song again instantly brought me back to those times.
The entire lonesome crowded west album ❤️ everything beyond their commercial success of good news for people who love bad news has a much different vibe. Not to say that’s good or bad, but other old mousers would tell you what years were their best. Really, I think it was the band was maturing out of the Olympia indie roots they sprang from.

This track is almost 20 years old lol. It's not THAT new, but yeah, their earlier stuff has a bit of a different vibe.
