    Dear Chaps and Chappettes
As soon as this video started I could hear "Ed's Redeeming Qualities" (probably most well known for Drivin' On 9). I first saw them perform in the movie "Ed’s Next Move" (which is a movie I love - but now is very hard to find). Sadly Dom Leone died of cancer in 1989 but they release several excellent records. Good stuff.
The performance in the video reminded me very much of The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band - and surprisingly Ivor Cutler.
Actually the theatrical video seemed to have a hint of The Residents - Third Reich. No idea why that popped into my head, but it did.
If anyone is interested in giving Ed's Redeeming Qualities a try you may want to give a listen to
Ed's Redeeming Qualities - More Bad Times
    Ed's Redeeming Qualities - Drivin' on 9
I don't know why but I always get a bit emotional listening to "Drivin' on 9". Maybe I remember where I was when I saw “Ed's Next Move”, maybe its the lyrics, maybe the fact that Dom died so young. I don’t know why, but I really love that song.
If you look on youtube you may find videos of The Breeders playing Drivin' on 9 with Carrie Bradley who was the violinist in Ed's Redeeming Qualities
    Keep up the good work

It should've been me with that real fine chick.
I too was raised on Aesop and Edward Lear (and Bre'r Rabbit), and always have time for this sort of nonsense. I highly recommend "The Intro and the Outro" by The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. All comedic instruments excel in imitating intestinal flatulence. (The smell is for the benefit of the deaf.) Defo clarinet. The tinkly instrument may be toy piano (it's a real thing, look it up). Is it just me, or had they been listening to Dylan's "Hurricane"?
Isn't the old saying "More farewell tours than Frank Sinatra"?
Corvids are the most intelligent of all birds. There are some cracking videos, such as Crow Solves An 8 Step Puzzle To Get Food (with the benefit for music lovers of Chris Packham).
If you ever wondered how you get triangles from a cow, you need butter, milk and cheese, and an equilateral chainsaw.

For my Two penn'orth their 2006 Album "Brother, Sister" was a great album if you like post-hardcore/emo stuff and this follow up, 2 years later was an incredible change of direction, not to my taste..Their 2012 Album "Ten Stories" was a bit better, with 1 track on my playlist "Fox's dream of the log flume", which features Hayley Williams as backing singer.
For a unique/weird song i'd recommend a 2007 tune by The Hellset Orchestra "Come Back Cavalry"...the lead singer was a music teacher in Nottinghamshire..Genre is kind of Art-Rock/pop.
