Every couple of weeks I search Manchester Orchestra Reaction. I found you today and you have a new subscriber. Thank you for your reaction, I loved it!
I check youtube for new Manchester Orchestra reactions every week, this one made me cry! Thank you both. The girl hanging from the tree in the background is the art from their album A Black Mile to The Surface. The entire album is truly perfect and The Silence is the final track of that album. This band is so great & I love that they don't just sing about love and heartbreak like a lot of artists. This song is a mix of Andy (the lead singer) talking to God, talking to his daughter, and then God talking to Andy. Its a prayer of sorts - Andy is trying to be better than his father and family before him. He understands the incredible task of raising a child and wants to do it well. Hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for such a genuine & beautiful reaction!
Manchester Orchestra is an amazing band. This track is one of my favorites. The story telling in their writing is so well done. They write a lot about the area and the people in the areas where they grew up. Seeing them live is life altering. I recommend "The Way" , "Alien" and "I Know How To Speak".
Oh yesssss!!!! This song is INCREDIBLE!!!! It sends goosebumps all over no matter how many times I've heard it. And there are people saying there's no good music made anymore these days.....WRONG!!!! Just look further than the so-called top40's, there's an enormous amount of great music being made today and in the past few years.
Definitely agree, these guys deserve much more recognition. A recommendation : No clear mind - When you're not here. Another beautiful song, by a Greek band. Some lyrics and a beautiful buildup....especially with good headphones on you will hear beautiful nuances in the music. It has a great vidro too.
You should check out the song "Pride". I've seen Manchester Orchestra twice in concert. When they perform "Pride" they use two drum kits. It's incredible and the buildup is insane. Great reaction!
Discovered this a couple of years ago , not sure why but I get teary eyes everytime I hear this beautiful song. If possible can I request a reaction to something completly different as I have never seen a reaction to this group Its OTT AND THE ALLSEEING EYE , , the song is "mouse eating cheese" please , thank you. Or same group , "Queen of all everything"
If you enjoy this song, I strongly recommend I Know How to Speak which is on the same album as this. There's a video similarly styled to this one of them playing an acoustic version and it's beautiful. Loved the video!
Manchester Orchestra are amazing. They have an incredible discography.
