Even tho John Walker is such a dick, his actor shouldn't receive death threaths for his phenomenal acting throughout the series
Bruh peopel on the Internet are strange aot and then this, feel like some of These Kids don't know the diffrence between actor and charakter
No actor should receive that. It’s just a character at the end of the day
Sadly we live in a world where even something as logical as this must be specified to others...
Bro, Wyatt Russel is so fucking good at John Walker.
Why is he getting that much hate? He isn't even a villain.
The writers of MCU are geniuses. They knew that if Falcon took the shield after Steve gave it to him, none of the fans would accept Falcon as the new Captain. It isn't until we see what it would look like in the wrong hands that they realize Falcon is indeed the best person to take Steve's place.
U said it perfectly 💯💯💯
What's funny is that when they gave the shield to Sam in the comics, I didn't like it because it had no setup. This makes me demand Sam takes the shield, I'm desperate to see a good man holding that shield again.
I hate to admit it but you’re totally right and it’s a brilliant move on Marvel’s part. I believe in Sam but the more I think about it, this setup is necessary. Even though Steve was a clear choice to be Cap, he still had to earn the role. Even though Sam was the obvious successor to Steve, Sam still needs to earn it. Being inherently good and just isn’t enough.
you are so right, i started the season thinking MCU was going to try to replace Steve with Sam and didn't expect much character growth or depth but after seeing a complete stranger taint the shields legacy... Sam is the obviously the best person for the job and i understand why Steve left it to Sam
@@doyalikejazz5251 I think that's the message here: you gotta earn the trust of America to BE Captain America. You can't just call yourself a hero, you have to earn it like Bucky and Sam are trying to earn it.
The fact that the guy who looked up to captain America got killed by the shield is fantastic irony
Well well, how the turn tables
And he literally looking up to "Captain America" in his last breathe
Well John didn’t know that guy was a Captain America fan so yeah
and he was holding him so karli can kill him
That was a great catch I forgot about it
Not going to lie that shot with the blood on the shield is fire asf😂
Glad i aint the only one who thought so 😂😂😂😂
Haunting but iconic.
That shit bussin bussin
THATS FYYYAA!!
Would make a killer album cover
I feel bad for him, man. Being chosen as Captain America really fucked him up. On top of the PTSD, the pressure of taking the mantle, his self-doubt, and the serum just amplifying all of that. And then witnessing his best friend die in front of him. You can also see that after killing the Cap fan, Walker was twitching. He didn't look pleased at all. Someone please get him out of that suit and get him a therapist
Next episode he's either going to break down or fall into the dark completely.
That’s why no one can take Rogers’ place. He’s the better example of a hero than Walker will ever be.
I was going to say the same thing He is now full on crazy

@@ironfae
Huh???
@@thealjohnsonshow2188
The MCU hit it’s peak at Avengers: Endgame. Everything afterwards SUCKS by comparison. I pretty much saw this coming and so far I’ve been right.
@@ironfae
I don't think so.
If you really think so, that's your funeral.
Seriously, one of the most dark and bone-chilling things I've ever seen in the MCU.
Sadly, because of this, I've seen differing views and opinions on what John Walker did.
Again, massive props to Wyatt Russell for delivering a phenomenally chilling performance.
Ladies and gentlemen, we've seen the birth of U.S. Agent.
Props to Disney and Marvel Studios for having the balls to pull what they did off, knowing the response from a few people.
I'm not ready for the last two episodes of this show.
I also really like the parallel to what Steve did in Civil War. When he raised the shield over Tony’s body, he did it to destroy the arc reactor and incapacitate him. Once he did that he walked away. Really shows the difference between Steve and Walker.
I look at John Walker like this:
- if you liked him in Episode 2, that's fine. He seemed like a decent fellow, if a little intimidated by the mantle of Captain America and wanting desperately to do a good job but getting shut down hard by Sam and Bucky. There are a few flashes of his darker side, but nothing too serious just yet.
- Episode 3, a little more of the same. Still wanting to help, but the mantle is starting to get to him. His outburst of "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" is probably the first time that his fragile ego has been exposed. If you liked Walker a little less here, that's fine. I think that's how it's supposed to go.
- Here in Episode 4, though? I don't think Walker is that sympathetic anymore. We clearly see that the mantle is getting to him, when he tangles with the Dora Milaje and they clean his clock. Walker hasn't taken defeat very well, as evidenced a couple episodes prior with the fight on the highway. John Walker is clearly out of his depth, and when he finds that one vial, you just know that he's going to take it. In a roundabout way, he asks Lamar if he would, given the opportunity. Lamar says that YES, he would, and when the guy that's been keeping you grounded while the shield weighs on you is telling you that taking the serum is a good idea, that about cements it for Walker, and he does.
Immediately, his combat performance improves. He can stand toe-to-toe with the Flag-Smashers. They can't push him around anymore because he's just as strong- nay, stronger- than them. He's slinging the shield around like Steve Rogers would. FINALLY, Walker is feeling like he can absolutely do this...
...and then Lamar dies. His conscience, his buddy, his compass, is dead. Oh no.
Oh YES. John Walker loses it, as many of us thought that he would. As the Flag-Smashers bolt, and Sam & Bucky take off in pursuit, John Walker pulls a Steve Rogers and jumps through a window, landing on a bus a few stories below.
It doesn't hurt. Oh YES. Walker sees one of the terrorists he's been chasing, and he takes off after him. It doesn't matter that this man isn't the one he's looking for- they killed Lamar, and this one is going to DIE. And that poor guy DOES die, and brutally too. That shield is incredibly hard to break, and an enhanced man's body will break before the shield does. In an incredible turn of irony, the man Walker murders out here is the same one that looked up to Steve Rogers as a boy- and the last thing he sees is his hero bringing that shield down to kill him.
Good becomes great with the Super Soldier Serum. Bad becomes worse. And John Walker's temper has become a murderous rage. Worse yet, the whole world is watching, a circle of people recording the whole thing. There is now blood on that shield, and it is now clear that John Walker cannot continue as Captain America. Unfortunately, he is now a super soldier. Stronger than most, faster than most, and more pissed off than most.
He's Steve Rogers with all the qualities that made Steve so special burned away in a murderous rage. God help Sam Wilson and his allies.
@@SamaritanPrime I actually found walker a lot more interesting after this episode. I like morally gray complex characters. It's the same reason I liked the punisher. Walker really elevated the show after this episode.
@@SamaritanPrime did you just summarize the entire series so far?
Its not what you expect of Marvel, so these dark moments always find a way to sneak up on you.
Now superheroes are going to get more negative image now after Spiderman was framed for Mysterio, Wanda with the Hex and now Walker killing someone as Captain America.
No lie that's a good way of framing up the mutants to be hated like they are in the comics
Holy crap you're right! I never looked at things from that angle before.
Well Wanda is clearly a villain in wandavision cos she did that on purpose to innocent people. John Walker in my opinion did the right thing and idc if it was in public cos the flag smashers killed ppl at the grc, tried to kill him and killed Lamar. Spidey was just unlucky
Hence maybe Ross will assemble his own version of 'Avengers'
Cue Dark Avengers
@@NotleGaming wanda is a villain? no. at least, not right now. yeah she did that thing but it wasn't on purpose. after she saw vision for the last time, she went to westview and saw the people there looking sad and tired all the time and she probably understands them. she's not that evil. as you can see in the last ep, she didn't even know she put them on endless nightmares. she wasn't in control of her powers back then. it's obviously not on purpose lol.
I can understand walkers Intention. In his way he still wanted to fit in Steve Rogers shoes. After his loss against the wakandan he realized that he is not strong enough. So taking that Serum was logical. I would probably have done the same to Catch up in a World of gods, aliens and monsters. After lamar died he lost his Moral compass, the only one he listened to,and he snapped.
But what makes it worse is the person he killed was the kid who always looked up to captain America so, it looks so bad, that he killed him too
Doesn't matter. The world will see what he did and it will still be a bad look on John and America. They will see an unarmed man surrendering and still getting killed
Then he shouldn't mess with Dora Milaje in the first place. lmao His ego bit his own ass.
@Clevon Loney Wanted to talk? By trashtalking and looked down on Dora Milaje? He even wanted to throw hands with Sam earlier on. That's your definition of "talk"? lmao Sureeeee
@Clevon Loney he shouldn't touch her. That's what he means by messing with her. U can clearly see on her face that she wasn't interested in what John had to say and he still didn't get the message. He should had Just stopped talking. He needs to zip it sometimes .

I'm not going to blame Walker, I blame the government for putting Walker into Captain America position just cause he was a good soldier instead of looking for someone who is a good person...like Steve.
They didnt pick steve the 1st Time , they wanted somelse, it was the doctor that saw the good in steve, the government don't have super serum so why they gonna employ a scrawny weak captain America. You can't blame them, they could have know he'd get the serum

I mean he did work for that girl but still he didnt have to kill him guess he lost himself sense he was apart of why his partner died
He said he was when he was younger.
He himself said that sometimes heroes must stain their hands
And you’re forgetting that he was also the guy who held Captain America to die
@@Veneuss - of all the commenters on different channels, you're the only one I've seen that reminds us of that. Yes, he's a victim, but not an innocent one.
One thing that people seems to forget is that, besides the three medals of honor, John Walker has a physique that is at his peak, the dude is literaly at the limits of human condition without the super serum.
And still got his ass kicked, the line: "They weren't even supersoldiers" struck him so deeply because he is just not enough, losing battles, not capturing a terrorist enemy who has killed inocents (that's his point of view) and finally losing his best friend, that was the final push and we see a foreshadow of this in the last episode, with the opening scene and him shouting: "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" He wants to be respected like captain america but forgets that it's the man behins the shield who must first be respected.
And now he will get the respect based in terror, in opposite of Steve Rogers, who gained the respect by being just a good man.
The Dora are not super soldiers, they are just trained to be bad ass warriors. So while he is peak physically he is not peak in training mostly because the Us Military does not focus on hand to hand combat really. The Dora are basically the black belts and Walker is the orange or blue belt who thinks he is hot shit. They beat him with sheer skills. I am sure if they arm wrestled him they would lose but Walker wanted the short cut of being a Super Soldier.
Now the question becomes what does he do if he still keeps losing even as a Super Soldier.
Notice how he always introduces himself by adding "Captain America" after his own name, while Steve was never that full of himself
He’s not full of himself, he’s giving his resignation out to people. His orders are to be Captain America right now. He’s insecure about ever living up to Steve’s legend so he’s kind of reminding himself that he’s Captian America at the same time as everyone else.
I pity John Walker. He was held to a standard that he was fundamentally incapable of matching.
Not that that excuses his actions but he would never have been made a monster if he hadn't been made Captain America
Yeah thats my stance on his character as well
Yeah I totally agree. Also there’s an issue of war veterans who deal with PTSD and it’s possible Walker has PTSD and he should not have been made Captain America knowing he’s unstable. But typical government making the wrong people symbols when their not mentally stable.
@Jose Benitez Again, the responsibility must've been slapped into him, given that he's decorated.
I mean he did also choose to accept the title/role. Walker held himself to that standard, whether he was aware of his instability/issues or not. I pity him very slightly, only because Lamar was killed. But that serum heightened what badness was inside him and made it even worse, hence the killing of Karli's friend. He also chose to take the serum, turning him fully into the monster he now is.
@Jose Benitez he is the best the government has ever had, they cant waste their one and only chance to get a new "Captain America"
Mostly is everyone is here for the mix reaction of the most craziest moment by marvel studios.

Lamar was literally his conscious. The only thing keeping him from tipping over the edge and they took that from him.
I love how everyone realizes what's coming once Lamar is killed. That's some good writing and character development.
When you start hating on the actors for his movie character, you know that guy is doing his job with perfection....
Props to everyone for the phenomenal acting, especially Anthony Mackie, Daniel Bruhl, and Wyatt Russell.

the vast majority of violent criminals, yes.
@@zohoro96 That's the problem. Captain America is a symbol. He's supposed to be "Mr. Oh-so-perfect". Walker wasn't fit for this role, he had PTSD from the war, and goes out of control in the battlefield. When walker took the serum, it made him even more uncontrolled, and once his best friend died he snapped. Walker isn't at fault here, but he still did something bad. Walker killed a man who has on the floor pleading for his life. He may have been the reason Lamar got killed, but it still didnt justify his means. This wasn't a kill. It was a murder.
@@EpicGamer-xe6tb Yes! The serum makes good go to better (Steve) and bad go to worse (Walker). Steve knew what being Captain American meant and was mentally and morally in control, and he would know better than to murder someone AFFILIATED with his best friends murderer. There was no reason to kill that man as he wasn't the one who killed Lamar, but Walker is way less in control, and mentally and morally less mature than Steve. I think the serum especially heightened his response to Lamar's murder, and he acted before thinking. I don't understand how people can support and back Walker. If someone does, it's an instant red flag for me...
“America was built on blood. I guess they got the right one.” This had me rolling. So true.
This whole episode had me on edge. Walker killing that man really got me... Steve would not approve. And now that shield is forever tainted.

@@metallicnole4514 I think after what just happened, he might regret it. Bucky might probably say "see I told u".

They might have also been referencing the time Captain America used his shield to decapitate a vampire. Yes, that happened. It was shown in the shadows, mostly.
We didn’t expect that scene because it’s Disney.
But then I remembered Thanos’ was beheaded by Thor.
And a guy got his throat sliced by Hawkeye
the strangest thing is that Walker is pretty much the *perfect* Soldier; he takes initiative, tries to work things out peacefully with people like the Dora Milaje, and even tries to get on good terms with Bucky and Sam - but he is the worst possible pick for Captain America. Walker was trained as a dedicated, hardworking and loyal solider to the US military, but that's exactly why he would never work: because Captain America wasn't a soldier. He wouldn't kill teenage terrorists for the same reasons Sam didn't, but Walker, as a soldier, is pretty much *encouraged* to do so to save civilian lives if he was working for the military, but since he's taking the mantle of Mr 'Boy Scout' America, he would never be seen as a good person even if he was still doing exactly what he was told to in the military.
John Walker is a disgrace to the shield.
But that super hero landing was epic 🔥🔥🔥
You know what it is hahahha
@@Jadorelainie 😅😅 Feel sorry his knees though

That landing was fucking BOSS. Exactly how Chris evans would have done it
I honestly found his reaction to be perfectly natural; I mean Lemar was his partner and best friend. That bond that you share especially in the military together is strong trust me and considering that he was already on edge with everything going on I can't consider myself surprised.
Also I do think prediction wise a lot won't be against him automatically; considering that Lemar was killed by terrorists and he avenged him (despite how brutal it was in front of everyone) public opinion in that universe wouldn't be a majority against him in such a situation.
I feel like it can go one of two ways 1. They praise or let him be after he killed that guy, will be some uproar in some places, but they'll let him be cap still, but he just won't be able to go on after Lamar's death and he'll give it up maybe and 2. They take the shield and mantle of Captain America away from him to just save face, and then they'll do what they did in the comics which is fake his death and then rebrand him as the US Agent
The rage is understandable, but Cap's is a mascot in the end of the day, and being a mascot means he needs to have the patience to not do bad things publicly.
He kill one of the flagsmashers after they did a terrorist attack and killed innocents, so i can see how that can be frame in a good light for John Walker.
Also the fact that he became a super soldier, something that the U.S government wasn't capable of recreating and cannot allow themselfs to lose.
@@danielruiz8259 Not just the bombing, but killed a Flag Smasher during an ambush being conducted by them with the explicit purpose of killing him

I don't think John Walker is a bad person. I think John Walker was a "good man" who had a bad day. Like Frank Castle. And like the Punisher, he lives in the gray.
Its called breaking bad, seems familiar right?
@@brianmayabella5992 His emotional state and the dramatic music make it seem like he is "breaking bad" but an argument can be made that all we saw was a soldier neutralize an enemy combatant who was running into a square full of unarmed civilians. He did what a soldier is trained to do: Kill the enemy before they can do harm. Which is what he did. Whether he did it with the shield or a spork doesn't make any difference. This is why soldiers have problems when they come back from duty. Because what they do is put in the worst possible light. They are SUPPOSED to kill terrorists. We are meant to think Walker is a bad guy but he has been trying to help the entire show but given the cold shoulder by steve's friends for not being steve. The cards were stacked against him. Easy for us to judge from an armchair but this show is not written by veterans and it shows.
@@DaneofHalves true, but the terrorist is unarmed now. Using excessive force to a unarmed person infront of people, thats really bad. Props to Wyatt Russel for doing such a good job of playing such a hateable character. Like father, like son! So compelling! Give Walker that black suit like in the books, take that blue suit & the shield away from him dammit!
1. You can't blame John Walker for taking the serum. He's been getting his ass kicked the entire series.
2. Walker just watched his best friend die by someone who's killed others.
3. Walker shouldn't be Captain America but he really isn't a bad guy.
Of course Walker is going to be the bad guy because no one wants to see him be Captain America. Before he killed that guy, the only thing you could accuse Walker of being was an asshole. Now's he a murdering asshole to most of you...lol.
I don't blame him for taking the serum and I also don't blame him for killing that guy, he was literally holding him so Carly could stab and kill him... And yeah he doesn't deserve to be Cap mainly because of how he is and also being Captain America comes with a bit of restriction and limitation from what you can actually do, compared to him being the US Agent
“You don’t deserve that! My father made that shield!”
John Walker is perfectly playing Captain America in real life, violence and flaws included
I really like how this compilation doesn't just have the moment, but also the moments leading up to the moment as well
"ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS KEEP THE DAMN SHIELD, SAM!"
John Walker: "They weren't even super soldiers" Nikki: "No, they were just awesome." 😂
I feel like a lot of people overlooked the one scene where Lamar and John are talking in the bazar thing before the final fight scene. Lamar tries to cheer John up by saying that he has 3 medals of honour and that he’s more than capable for being Captain America. John responds by saying he got medals for the worst day of his life.
This is a clear indication that Walker has PTSD or trauma of some sort from his service days. These underlying issues, plus the fact that the mantle of Captain America is weighing down on him, and with the added loss of his moral compass Lamar, it’s easy to see why he snapped.
As Dr. Erskine stated, “good becomes great. Bad becomes worse.”
That scene just blew my mind

I was going to consider this the darkest project in the MCU… and then I saw Dr Strange 2.
i like how everyone just kinda walk away and dont even try to save Lamar or even call an ambulance.
I like the fact that Walker is a more realistic of a modern soldier being put under such pressure and power. He's tragic and yet relatable because of his flaws. Doesn't make him a better Captain America. But it does make you understand why Steve was chosen and not stronger more capable soldier.
I’m always glad that this channel exist because it has way more life to it than other mixed reaction channels
When the Dora Milage does the kick step pickup of Cap's shield, for a split second...I felt bad for John. Like dude got dunked on hard.
