I like how John Walker gave Sam and Bucky a hard time to reclaim the shield on this fight.
In the show, before zemo killed him. The doctor claimed that the super soldier serum he concocted was perfected.
The super soldier serum that bucky has is not.
It was hydras attempt to copy the super soldier serum

@@oztsukimun5367 his serum dosent make you stronger than the others, it just dosent effect your personality or change your physical appearance, its meant to look low key so you cant tell a super soldier from a regular person. walker took the serum as someone who was already defined as "superhuman" his physical attributes were far above that of someone his age and size, wich is why hes stronger

Each has their own side effect. Some were dying off quicker than others. Until it was just only Isaiah

That's what I was thinking! It totally reminded me of when Tony, Peter Parker, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians were trying to get the gauntlet off Thanos in Infinity War, that was a crazy scene there! Made me wonder how it would have panned out differently if Sam and Bucky were on Titan to help them other than being in Wakanda with Steve, Natasha, T'Challa, and the rest of the Wakandan army.... 🤔

nah, the fight scene is awesome, but the choreography is not, too many cuts, CA:TWS is better at choreography I think. also the truck scene at episode 2 is also very good

The way Bucky was looking at the shield and then looking up and saying "yeah we do'" gave me chills.
John Walker is a sad story. He has been pressured with expectations, losing his mind slowly as he pushes forward.
It also shows why Erskine insisted on Steve to be candidate for thw serum. He probably predicted the serum's effect on subject's personality. It literally enhanced one person's nature alongside their strength.
Yup! I see now why steve was the choosen one.
Erskine says is much when Steve asks him "Why me?"

In that case, Walker isn't as tragic as you might think. The serum didn't make Walker what he is, it just made what was already there worse. Like Erskine said, "Good becomes great, bad becomes worse."
John Walker was always a ticking time bomb. The serum just made him explode.
@@j.a.george9229 It wasn't JUST the serum, his PTSD, the pressure and expectations mounting onto him to be Cap, him losing to non super soldiers when everyone expects him to be the best, not to mention his moral compass and best friend was killed, before this fight we literally see him have a mental breakdown, it's not where it's black and white where only the "bad parts" of John were enhanced because he's bad!!!!111
I can't be the only one who felt bad for Walker. He was so happy to be Captain America and he really wanted to do what was best. And he's having it taken away by people he wanted to be on his side over actions he feels were right
There's one part in there that stops me from completely feeling sorry for him. He thinks his actions were right, but they most definitely weren't. I feel like if I think something is right, but two of the most important and most influential people in the worlf think it is wrong, I would believe I am in the wrong. Plus, he might not have been evil, but he was kind of a jerk. He wanted to team up with the two but didnt want to treat them as equal/superior to him. I treated them as Cap's sidekicks

Yep. He was throwing wild swings. Those are definitely weaker than his focused attacks against Steve. He was too emotional here, making him weaker.
Yes, he never use his vibranium arm to hit Walker. Just for shield hit and defense. And when he hit Walker, he use his regular arm. And Bucky disarm Walker gun when the first fight is very smart move.

@@Dangangela6565 We’ve seen what the Winter Soldier can do when he’s in ruthless mode, he’s nearly unstoppable. Yet in this fight he got downed numerous times, had his arm malfunction, was just throwing haymakers half the time....I mean cmon. He’s clearly holding back.
@@Dangangela6565 Bucky took out Tony Stark, Sharon Carter, Black Widow and held his own against T'Challa in Civil War when he was on his Winter Soldier mode. Also, he gave Steve a hard time in TWS. Bucky can kill Walker in less than 15 minutes if he isn't holding back.

Except some individuals. Pretty sure most of his targets are dead.
But he’s not in Winter Soldier Berserk mode anymore.

I think he's a good guy who just keeps making the wrong decisions. I actually kind of laughed when his friend said he always made the right decisions because he literally has not made a single good decision since becoming Captain America. And I don't think people really want to see him fail, I think it's that everyone just knows that he will fail. I mean, bucky might have wanted to see him fail because him being captain america is kind of disrespectful to steve in his eyes, but other than that, I don't think anyone really wants to see him fail

The fact that everyone had the same wide-eyed expression upon hearing John's arm break is icing on the cake in this fight.
There have been 23 mcu movies and 2 shows, but somehow this fight felt like it had more weight and stakes and intensity than anything else before it. Well done Marvel
and people said this episode was lacking fight scenes. I mean this scene filled the full episode for me.
Correction: there are more MCU shows (ex: AoS, Agent Carter etc). The only difference is that these new shows are directly connected to the movies and vice versa, most likely to the stories being intertwined with one another.

Best action scene in this series. The music in this was amazing too. Would listen to it over again. Definitely a call back to Civil War. Can't wait to see the finale in an epic clash between Sam and John Walker

Its kinda sad cos all he wants is to be captain america for the people. Lamar's the only person who understands him and now he's gone Walker just snapped.
Bucky was holding back, even if slightly, because he wasn't in "Winter Soldier" mode as he didn't want to kill Walker. That said Walker is so strong and this fight scene was epic with Sam holding his own too.

I think still JW is tough for Bucky even in Winter Soldier mode. Steve managed to defeat him, Isaiah mostly too. In comics its said JW is stronger then Steve and Bucky combined because if his own natural physic on that scale this JW also able to fight SS with just with shield.
@@ty814 Remember the other winter soldiers were stronger than Bucky, but they were crazy. I think most people have a problem with this fight is because Bucky's been fighting for a long time, before John was even born and they made him look like weak.

but no one mentioned the Civil war Soundtrack used during the fight reflecting on the Steve vs Tony
And the music used in the final battle in cap winter soldier when Steve was reminding the winter soldier of who he used to be.

I'm shocked at how brutal this show is in comparison to previous outings. Wasn't expecting marvel let alone freaking Disney(+) to go this route. Definitely not complaining at all lol, maybe setting the tone for the next phase 🤞🏻
This and the ending of Episode 4 give me hope for Black Widow.
I know, right? The brutality of this show reminds me of the Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher Netflix shows.
Well the tone of Black Widow’s opening credits were about this dark.
The rest of the movie is irrelevant.
Remember what Abraham Erskine said to Steve Rogers back in the 1940's:
"The serum amplifies everything that's inside someone; good becomes better, bad becomes worse".
Walker had just dealt with a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Dora Milajae, (sorry for misspelling) getting insecure and worried about not stopping the Flagsmashers, and moments after taking the serum, watched his partner die and decapitated someone out of sheer anger. Take something that amplifies everything, and what do you get?

The fight reminded me of opposite of Civil War how Bucky teamed up with captain America to defeat A Machine character and then teamed up with the machine character to defeat captain America

Fact is, the evidence suggests that had Sam or Bucky taken on Walker alone, they each would have met the same end as that flagsmasher. Case in point... Bucky and Sam both saved each other from being crushed to death by the shield
They were not fighting to hurt Walker until the end, their goal was the shield.

Which just shows you why he isn't fit to be Captain America. In this fight he was going for the kill, RIGHT AFTER murdering a man in the street, who was begging for mercy.
Everyone sitting here focusing on who's strongest and all that nonsense when this fight was about way more than strength. It was about character and legacy, and how two Avengers were trying to prevent further bloodshed in the name of their best friend's legacy and stopping an unhinged soldier from killing anyone else because of his rage.

Couldn't agree more. Walker tried his best to ingratiate himself with Steve's closest friends so he could honour Steve's legacy and they repeatedly rejected him for very little reason other than spite. His "stay the hell out of my way" was definitely justified. And that was just one of many failures that John faced that led him down the dark path he's on. Such an interesting and tragic character. It's somewhat frustrating how many people just hate him without trying to sympathise with his position even a little bit

Walker treated Sam & Bucky as sidekicks and asked their help simply because of his role as the new Captain America, going for as to bust Bucky out of prison because he deemed him a good "asset". HYDRA treated him as an asset.
Not to mention, both Sam & Bucky deeply respected Steve Rogers and they see him as a false pretender.
There were times where both Sam & Bucky were willing to cooperate with him and Walker fucked it up.
And viceversa.
So, yeah. A tragic story, really.
John Walker constantly looked down on them though, not to mention he repeatedly made the wrong move. They had no reason to trust him or even WANT to work with him

The moment bucky says "yea we do" just said it all and paved the way of what was about to be an epic fight scene.
One of the real highlights of this series/setting: these are human beings. Some are enhanced, but we aren't dealing with gods, Titans, Celestials, or "the big 3." This is just straight-up human beings pushing one another to/beyond the biological capacity that viewers understand best, and that's why the fights and the emotional arcs are so rich.
I never thought I'd end up loving this show more than almost every mcu movie, yet I do after this episode

I really enjoyed this choreography of the fight scene.
Compared to other fights in the MCU, this was one of the most brutal. You can almost feel the pain.
Seeing the blood on the shield almost made me sick.
Sam used the similar string tech on the shield against walker which bucky used in winter soldier to clip of Sam's wing and same was used by Steve against Iron man in civil war end fight.
