Mark won by hitting Omni-man right in the feels.
It's super effective!
Sometimes the most painful injuries are those that can't be seen physically.
Lol omni man made mark look very vincible
@@George-jc3mt all invincible means is "too powerful to be defeated or overcome"
Mark can get the ever loving shit kicked out of him . . . but he won this fight by refusing to give in to his father. He won the argument, and that is what saved the earth.

I love how this show proved that there's more than one way for a hero to win against the villain, and that Mark is Invincible, not in body, but in spirit. Dude was getting beaten to death and was having innocent people die all around him. And all because of his father. Yet, Mark didn't give up, even when he couldn't move anymore. Even more impressive, he still had love for his dad.
True and that is why hero inspiring people.
Same. Mark might have lost the physical fight, but he succeeded in stopping Omni-Man from enslaving earth. So he essentially won in the end. I already know what happens in this scene but I still cry when I watch it.
Now I know why the comics were so groundbreaking at that time....
in the invincible world and series there bunch of invincible characters also the op character villian that forced almost all heroes to try beat they did dirty with trex can chomp him to death but thragg was so much stronger made no sense that chomping him with teeth cracked make no sense
Very few people would still be willing to call Omni-Man dad at that point.
i hate that people dont realize that Nolan is trying to convince himself to stick with the mission but he cant
A few of them kinda realized that.
Yes they do. The very first group do yo
That’s literally the whole point of this scene.
He says in the first episode to his wife, that he wondered if it'd be better if Mark didn't get his powers at all
Or the fact Mark is tearing him apart from the inside out. From the moment Mark started looking at him like he was a monster and with disappointed eyes he started to have a nervous breakdown then. But that one liner shattered him into pieces. He’s probably off on a space rock doing that ugly hard silent cry that parents do. Debby took his body but Mark stole his heart.
Everything changed four times for Omni Man.
1. Meeting Deb
2. Having Mark
3. Mark gets his powers
4. "You, Dad. I'll still have you . . . Dad?"
In a way, Debbie saved the world then
@@elnico5623 While Debby is part of Omni-man's changes, Mark is the bigger part of it.
@@gerardlacroix6015 that's why they said "in a way," bc without Debbie = No Mark
Do two lines mark says make me tear up. Him being held by his dad and saying "I'll stop you" and "you dad". Like man this kids spirit is invincible
*Intro plays in*
Yup. He was bummed out and wanted to quit for like three whole episodes, but when the chips were down and he was staring an existential threat in the face, he didn't break. In terms of willpower. His bones definitely broke.
And when he said "I'll stop you" he sounded so broken, lol mark please stop 😭 I know you can't because you are a true hero but please. We need you
I was high asf watching the last episode and fuckk i cried so Bad i was tripping

I love the dialogue in this whole seen but does the line "Dad?" Hit anyone else real hard. Like damn the voice acting is impeccable, the broken heart, half dead half crying. He was just looking for his dad in that moment. Took a word and expanded it into an entire moment. Beautiful and heartbreaking stuff.
yeah like this is the only superhero franchise i have seen which is filled with deep emotion
Yeah, this scene hits hard.
Wimps
Yeah
Oh yeah, Mark going "Dad?" will ALWAYS catch me in the feels.
I’m not going to lie, this was a very uncomfortable episode. But also very brilliant.
I believe that was the whole point. It's a mixture of it being a happy, dark, emotional and heartfelt. It's almost identical to the comics, which I highly recommend it's almost perfect and faithful to the source material and I finished the books.
I love it. It brought that part of reality that nobody likes to talk about.

I ain’t gon lie, “you dad” killed my soul. This man got his shit rocked, parts of his body probably caved in, pretty much got body bagged and he still loves his dad. I’ve walked away from people that matter to me for far less. Invincible is just built different
He may not be the strongest, that's not what his name means, his spirit, his sheer willpower is the thing that makes him [INVINCIBLE]
It’s all the recent brain damage
Omni Man: Think Mark think...
Invincible: I would Dad, but i'm currently suffering from a concussion.
Looooooool
Not a doctor but I think a concussion is the least of his issues 😬
@@JunJun.. Yeah, I would say he's at least suffering from a dislocated and/or fractured jaw, has severe internal injury caused by trauma to the torso with possible rib and sternum cracks or fractures, these rib and sternum cracks and fractures also have led to puncture wounds in his lungs as he can be witnessed spewing blood simply by breathing, possible clavicle cracks or fractures, and likely hemorrhaging of the the brain caused by skull fragments being embedded into it from a skull fracture, or due to trauma from being whipped around like a ragdoll as a start. He likely has many more injuries that his brain didn't quite process until after his hospitalization, as he is in multiple casts and likely required a blood transfusion due to blood loss. The guy really is fucking in- *title card*
@@JunJun.. But I'm not a doctor either, I'm just going off of a moderate level of knowledge in biology and anatomy. I'm honestly not even sure if Mark could have survived this since I'm pretty sure less damage has finished other Viltrumites. The man has both a spirit and a brain that refuses to fucking die. The guy is quite literally interminable. Though to be fair, the Battle Beast beatdown kind of set up the fact that he was gonna get messed up pretty bad come the grand finale.

Bruh, I know people hate Omni-man and find his actions Unredeemable, and if I’m being honest I agree. He’s still my favorite character in this show, so far. You can’t deny that since the beginning that Omni-man was the star of this show.
Yeah I’m really excited to see the rest of his arch play out on TV. In the comics he has one hell of a run with a lot of growth and development.
Personally I feel like Omni-man was the runner-up Mark was the true star. Everything else you said though I fully agree with. Amazing show, can't wait for season 2.
Viewers: There's no saving Omni-Man
Me: Get ready for one of the greatest redemption arcs you've ever seen.
I can't wait to see how they progress the story for season 2.
Having read the comics they have done a phenomenal job with this show.
It’s even more heartbreaking when you take into account that Mark thought to say that right after being beaten half to death by his own dad, even after all that, the only thing he thought to say was “you dad.”
Everyone fails to realize how great of a love Omni man has for Mark....Remember OMNI MAN has lived thousands of years in the most brutal totalitarian regime known to the universe...he has conquered planet after planet and yet in ONLY 17 years with mark and Debbie he was able to overcome THOUSANDS of years of conditioning and reject his mission...People miss the sheer will this took. Humans live only 80 years...and can't overcome bad habits like smoking, drinking, cussing, cheating, lying, and stealing...but OMNI man over came THOUSANDS of years of brutal conditioning in only 17 years because of the love he felt for MARK!!!!!! People miss this!!!!
Yup. That's what happens when you watch a show throught the lens of a human. For us, what Nolan did is the worst massacre event in History, and he is unforgivable no matter what. For us, he's cold, heartless and cruel. For him and the Viltrumites? That was normal, just means to an end. What is that end? Making the Earth a "better" place by taking control of it. Killing humans for them is like stepping on ants. It's not like they were gonna live long anyways.

This is actually what anime don’t get quite right as much as I love it. The main characters have this long philosophical monologues to try to change the antagonist’s views when in reality, most of the times small sentences can sometimes change a person forever.
EXACTLT there is no long pause in a heated battle. It's going to escalate until one stops fighting or one of you is dead.

The fact that Mark still called him dad after all of that was crazy.
Damn, Mark be making everyone feel!
Omiman may have beaten opponents with sheer overpowering brute force. But Mark learned to utilise and master psychological warfare. Well done Mark.
The thing is, Mark didn’t do it in a manipulative way. He really still loves his father after everything Nolan has done and said. That’s what makes it more powerful IMO. And I think that’s why Omni-Man had to leave because he didn’t want to keep hurting his son, who despite everything, still loves him.

I cried at that moment. Then I rewatched it. And cried again.
That line was what got me into the show. That hit me so freaking hard I felt that the writing would be top class. I wasn't disappointed. Though there were questionable bouts of how durable a character should be versus how durable we saw them to be a few times. Mark's durability especially seems to come and go for the sake of plot development.
Mark is almost indestructible against blunt force. But throughout the series he gets hit with different Kind of object.
Battle beast ripped him open with a sharp and blunt object.
It's kinda consistent
Thing is Viltrumites are strictly forbidden to be emotionally attached to anything
And Mark just proved them wrong, this kid has a bigger heart than anyone...he almost died, but in the end Mark still sees the good in him
I cried when he told him: you dad...I’d still have you
This is what happens when you'll be blinded by an Empire ideals since birth.
Why TF does everyone act suprise when Omi Man acts the way he does he's an imperial Officer fuck look at Darth Vader cutting Luke hand for example, this is why Mark still love his dad bc he knows that Omi Man is blinded by the Empire he was born in.

Ngl, i almost cried in this episode.
Was impressed that even in that condition Mark was still able to "move a mountain"
If you think about it, Omni-Man and his alien race did the same thing Saiyans did ages ago
What's beautiful about this is that Invincible comics end with: "What would you have after 500 years?"
Mark realizes he has so much that he didn't even know he wanted but the only thing he doesn't have is his dad.
Cause Nolan dies 3 issues before the end.

JK Simmons KILLED that role. He was so good!
The way Omni-Man takes of tells the viewer a lot if you remember how he taught Mark how to fly. "We don't need to push ourselves from the ground or pivot around, we can move through space freely"
Talk no Jutsu saved this boy that day. Evidence is in the pudding.
