To be honest, I'm mainly hyped for the film because he's in it. Both he and the Green Goblin, if he's played by Dafoe, have the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man nostalgia on their side.

I hope Alfred Molina (AND Willem Dafoe) see this supercut, to see the fandom's appreciation and gratitude for their return to these roles.
For a lot of folks in these reactions, I think it's just that sense of nostalgia. Remember, William Defoe's Green Goblin (2002) and Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus (2004) are minimum 17-19 years old. So these folks probably saw the Sam Raimi movie like in their teenage or young adult lives. Featuring them in this movie is a really great way to combined old and new fans of Spider-Man films.
As someone with sensory issues towards loud noises (thanks autism) and you know being two at the time, I should not have been in the theatre for Spider-Man 2
I said the same words about the movie, it's honestly beautiful because it brought different generations of Fan's together ❤️

One thing I remembered about Doc's arms, they're basically indestructible, considering that in the spiderman2 movie, he used them to friggen manipulate a star. And sneaking up on him is next to impossible too, he can SEE through the arms.
People sleep on how touch Doc is. He’s easily among the top 5 strongest Spider-Man villains.
Guns can kill him easily.., people just need to surround him and shoot him like bruh... It's only four arms there's no way he can block all bullets..

Literally a perfect example of being teased, then drawn in a bit more, then finally having everything they just built up for you confirmed. This is a good trailer. Shows just enough, not too much, and does it extremely well.

Multiverse is genius. You can have villains that survived fights, heroes that died, timelines that are already being destroyed, or worlds that have collided. The only limit is your imagination. Some villains like Doc Oc might not even be from the movie we’ve seen, but a parallel timeline where he actually won and beat Spider-Man, while another version of Tobey’s Spider-Man comes in in which he defeated Doc Oc. Multiverse theory is nuts.
There's also the idea of the omniverse, where literally every single fictional story such as Marvel, Dc, Amc tv shows, etc. are all connected via an endless multiverse, which could explain why stories such as Ninja Turtles meeting Batman happen.

I mean I’m born in 03 but I grew up watching that trilogy. This hits me on all levels since I’ve been a teenager during Holland’s run while having grown up with Tobey.

MCU really has done things that have never been done before,not just the movie they make but how they have integrated all the movies and brought their stories together for The Avengers. The amount of A-list actors in all of them and then in the same movies is really hard to believe it took so long to do it. There’s always been a huge fan base for it but never attempted. This Spiderman though with all the villains back and the other 2 Spiderman actors is really crazy. Imagine a Batman with Bale, Keaton, clooney, Affleck, and Pattinson.

Going out on a limb here, this is one of the best teaser trailers I've ever watched. They showed just the right amount. Teased at 3 of Spideys greatest villans, and brought back original actors. This movie is going to be sick!!

Amazing films:electro and lizard man
Its exciting to see how these villains interact with eachother
However if this happens before sandman turns somewhat good and before venom and Eddie get blown up
We could have a sinister six in this movie.

This is probably going to be one of the best movies ever, and i already think that it is my favorite movie, just bc of the trailer. Best Christmas present ever

Willem Dafoe's version of Green goblin was perfect. Alfred Molina's Doc Ock was also perfect. and they came out in the early 2000s which some where just born yet. It's good to let them see our childhood supervillans!
It's our Spiderman and My son's Spiderman coming together, I'm more excited for this than I was for the return of Star Wars, and sharing that adventure with my son.

I was born 2005, and I grew up watching the Toby maguire movies, I literally cheered after seeing the pumpkin bomb, my parents just looked at me like "wtf is he so excited about?"
Willem Dafoes laugh is enough to create goosebumps...like just the laugh!!

Considering Defoe and Molina play Norman Osborn and Dr. Octavius, the two villains considered to be Spider-Man’s arch nemesis’s, and built their characters without prior execution, is proof of how well they played their roles for people to be so hyped.

Alfred Molina is the best actor to do the villain as Doc Ock 🔥 👌 He was the OG
He's currently the only person to portray a live-action Doc Ock, so it's not saying as much as you suggest.

After seeing Doc Ock...
It's amazing in both a positive and negative way, how people reacted to Goblin and Doc Ock, and NOBODY, LITERALLY NOBODY, notice that there was a merge between a thunder from Electro (TASM 2) hitting a sandstorm from Sandman (Raimi's "Spider-Man 3")
This makes me so emotional, and not just because of the nostalgia. I think it is amazing how we can all come together regardless of our differences and be excited about this movie.
