Arod was a 5 tool player in a caliber similar to Bonds and Mays-- incredible fielding and throwing.. No wasted energy or gymnastic nonsense. Just well-placed/scouted fielding and unbelievable strong and accurate throws.
Roids don't make you a quick reacting, smart thinking player. A-Rod is sharp and smart. And that's what he was great at third. That's the hot corner and he played it well. People trash him saying Roids did that no way, that's pure freaking skills...TALENT.
one of the greatest 3B to play the game people can have their opinions about Alex. but one thing that can't be denied he was an excellent defensive 3B.
@@christianarrizon5989 Maybe? Jeter, statistically, was the worst fielder in All of Baseball from 2003-2014. The fact that he didn't relinquish SS to A-ROD back in 2004 shows what a selfish player he is. Jeter couldn't carry A-Rod's jock.
By the time Arod was getting better at third base the coaches voting started looking at defensive stats like zone rating, stats that arod never led the league in at 3B. Though he definitely deserved one at the very least as some kind of recognition for being able to transition from short like that
Its funny.. His sidearm throws are always perfectly accurate, compact and perfect height off the ground.. Then the one traditional throw at 1:05 is in the dirt!
That's because he was throwing it ten to fifteen feet further than the others. Under the circumstances, a one-hopper from third in that situation was a perfect throw.

The best baseball player of all time. Still at 40 was able to hit 33 humeruns.
That Yankees infield with Teixeira, cano, jeter and Rodriguez was great... baseball isn't the same 😭😭
People forget that this guy was one of the true five tool players in his prime
Five tool?
We didn’t forget, we also didn’t forget the drugs

He made a lot of real nice diving plays! How'd he never win a gold glove at third?

RODRIGUEZ THE GOAT
3:24 Ufff le robó un hit que pudo traer carreras
Given the chance he could still play third and short.
El mejor
Juicy
1:28 Wang's 95mph sinker

That arm tho when he moved to third he got big to hits more home runs
Half of these are mark Texiera highlights
Jeter was jealous of Arod

Arod When he played in Seattle
Ha no more.TOO Risky
Creo también que dijo mamaguevo i escusame porla palabra
Alex rodriguez es mejor que manny machado
Unpopular opinion I think Mark Texiera was a horrible Yankee.
Terrible baserunning by Molina. Run on a groundball with no outs. He is slow as hell too!
Cundo miro a Javier Báez (el mago) eso si es un jugador completo.sabemos que Alex fue muy bueno pero se vio involucrados con esteroides
Like si Molina parecía un tractor
Ian Kinsler is the worst base runner I’ve ever seen
