- (1 hr 11 mins) This is the last of the three Pilots of "The Love Boat". This one is entitled "The New Love Boat"
This telemovie includes the storylines 'The Newlyweds', 'The Exchange', and 'Cleo's First Voyage'.
It introduces regular series cast members Gavin MacLeod as Captain Stubing and Lauren Tewes as Julie the cruise director; the previous captain is said to be now on leave.
Guest stars include Georgia Engel as a stowaway, Gary Frank and Melanie Mayron as a pair of tremulous honeymooners, Stella Stevens and Pat Harrington as an eternally bickering married couple, and Audra Lindley and Phil Silvers as respectively, an outspoken middle-aged lady and a woebegone widower.
NOTE: This episode is complete and remastered. It's only a 640x360 VHSRip however. Приколы
I was a babysitter, Saturday night, Love Boat at 9 , Fantasy Island at 10 . 2 bucks an hour 😅
The love boat... soon will be making another run...
The love boat.... promises something for everyone!!!!!
Man this was a great show! this
Never saw this before...no wonder the Love Boat was such a huge hit...thank you for finding the beginnings of this wonderful show that lasted for so many seasons.
Fascinating to think that all three pilots aired over a period of just over seven months. They really cranked them out.
Must have an audience to 'get paid'!!😋
Bryansx27🎉
Thank you to Peter Deane for posting all three “Love Boat” pilots!!
Thank YOU for spelling my surname correctly
I wouldn't care if you ran the whole series, one per week.
Wow, a blast from the past. It was nice to see Phil Silvers again, and iin a rare dramatic role. He was a far better actor in a serious role than I figured. The rest of the cast...that was yesteryear. Nice memories.
Third times the charm I suppose.
Hard to believe it is almost 50 years ago.
Seems like it was almost mandatory viewing growing up in the late 70s (every Saturday night).
All in the Family and Three's Company: Two other shows that took three tries to get it right.
i epselutely and totally love the captain he came a long way i remember him sitting behind a desk only two or three lines the most and now hi is a captain on a ship 🚢 being the main person 🙏.
Fantastic! I’ve never seen this episode
Likewise
Thank you for this video. Wonderful ❤
This one was so much better...
Love This Show❤🎉😢😂😊
Didn't realize Charles Fox who did the theme songs for Angie, Wonder Woman to name a few wrote the theme song for Love Boat too.
Funny Melanie Mayron had a Gary on here just like in thirtysomething.
gavin mccloud & Georgia engel from mary tyler moore show.
I like this show. Never tire of watching. Two things i didn't like: Vicky ; on the last season Dionne Warwick was awful singing the theme. Why was Jack Jones replaced?
Yeah, the final shows were RADICALLY different, and they wrecked the theme song
I think it was a money issue with Jack Jones. I agree the theme song was ruined.
"You will find that I'm the easiest man in the world to work for... all I demand is perfection."
Classic line, but it sums up a boss' vision to a T, at heart, he's not unfair, just give it your all and you'll find him to be a piece of cake. Enter the Juan Trippes or Elon Musks, whose staff actually really like them enough to go through the wall.
The first 🕰 with *laugh tracks* ? 🤔
Did I see that correctly? A husband pouring quite an alcoholic drink for his newly learned pregnant wife?
Yes you did. Health professionals didn't know about the hazards of alcohol to the fetus at that time. The half life of medical information is less than 3 1/2 years. As medical information is learned, it's passed on to the public.
I wish I could have married Julie
OK -- was floating along in a gentle haze 'til [1:04:23] when saw a female passenger pick up what looks like a deviled/stuffed egg🙄 WITH HER FINGERS!! Don't know about public hygiene standards back then, more modern ships serve finger-food with tongs & are served by the Steward/Waiter! Though think have seen this type of non-tong behavior on later episodes. Anyway, I would NOT have enjoyed/eaten whatever food passengers were allowed to 'handle' themselves🤢, then or now, even with modern hygiene 'upgrades'!!
BTW, this is my first time viewing this episode😲 &, other than the prior comment, enjoyed this episode 🙃-- have been a Georgia Engle👍 [Gopher's gal] fan from long ago!!
'nuf said, ALOHA 4 now...😉😎
Still bad
