Hold up, are you saying that Milgard cuts their Fiberglass with Vinyl to make their Ultra Series Windows? Umm. I'm no window guy but that does not sound cool to me. Please explain why that's ok? Isn't the point of Fiberglass is that it has better properties than Vinyl (contraction/expansion)? I have Milgard Ultras on my house and If I had know it was a blended window it would have been a factor in my decision.
According to the Milgard rep I was with this day. I think it is a great idea, as vinyl is a great insulator either way. Their fiberglass windows are fantastic, and I would be happy with the Ultra and the performance and durability they provide.
What do you think fiberglass is?! Fiberglass is just plastic with glass fiber added to it to make it stronger and more dimensionally stable. The usual plastic resin used is polyester because (lots of other reasons) it's the cheapest. Vinyl (e.g. polyvinyl) is better than polyester, but much more expensive so rarely used. Milgard must have lots of scrap vinyl from their other manufacturing processes so it's win-win.

do you know if Milgard Trinsic V300 a low e 1 or low e 2 window?
These Millard windows are horrible windows. All of my hardware rusted and they will not honor the warranty and even mail a few hinges for me to replace. The warranty is complete junk.
I think their warranty is great when applicable. Rusted hardware? Is not a sign of a defective window.. just bad maintenance. Or could be because you live by the ocean 🌊
