If you watch heavyD you'll see there is people getting stuck on the lake beds in Utah all the time. So maybe they are trying to avoid injuries and the cost of recovery? Not to mention the environmental harm that comes from vehicles sitting in mud for months because they can't be recovered. I'm all for freedom and good racing but not everyone is smart enough to scout out the path before driving it so maybe it's for the best

There are toxic heavy metals in the dry lake beds in utah that get put into the air from the dust created by a vehicle driving over it... also the law was passed in 2022, James must've just gotten in trouble for it recently.

It’s normal for speedometer to show higher than actual speed. My bike is out by that much at half the speed. The bonus is tickets are usually a little less than what you actually thought you were exceeding the limit by.😃
