There’s a big misunderstanding, we don’t hate the “baja” idea, its your wheel and tire set up. Your wheel offset+ spacers is not “Baja”, go with some 18” method wheels without the crazy offset, throw the spacers in the trash and you have a badass Baja trackhawk. Y’all did great with the suspension, it’s just the wheels, tires, and spacers!
There are no spacers. The rims are offset.

We have watched Goonzquad almost since beginning. Those early videos were what hooked us. Especially the ones showing the loving family life. The channel has changed a lot. Mixed feelings now. Glad to see that your hard work has paid off, allowing you to basically do anything you choose. Being older, I not a fan of trying to break things but I get that a lot of people do. Congrats on the purchase of the hundred acres. I can "feel" the freedom and excitement that gives you guys. Please, think/plan long and hard before you start "transforming" it.

I used to love watching this channel back when the boys built the mustang and the garage in their parents yard with Thomas the cat overseeing the content. One build at a time and if they had to stop would go out and have fun or chill opening fan mail. I miss that content.

It doesnt need more height, just proper regulation in suspension to absorb machine mass when landing.

I think it would have been all good had they bought another Jeep, instead of the SECOND Trackhawk, and just built a 200,000 mile shell with a blown engine. If you're going to trash everything, why start with a car where everything has been done?

I’ve been a fan of this channel for years but I’m not sure what direction this channel is headed. I was a fan of the no nonsense builds back in the day. Regular uploads. Maybe it’s just me.

it kinda does, doesn't it? getting past the looks, which is subjective, what really gave me the RC vibe is the way that effin monster takes off. the accelration on that thing, with that suspension, looks obscene.

Please don't confuse hate with logic... take a closer look at what the baja guys do and why... the wheels and tires are a good chunk of what is going wrong here and purpose built bumpers would clean things up too. Seem like the rims are too big, too much offset and the rotating mass is likely on the heavy side. Other issue you likely aren't bottoming out the suspension yet but those fenders need to get rolled or cut as you can clearly see the contact at 20:53 (play it at x 0.25 to clearly see the contact). Only other thing is that goofy ass tune... its not a turbo... that tune is the Hockey card in the BMX spokes all day long and a fire hazard if you are playing in dry fields... Again not hate just logic... been around since the mustang and love 99% of what you guys do and 100% of your energy doing it

I get it it’s a simple (used to be) wrecked American SUV. I think a lot of people were placing too much emphasis on the part where this was a “track hawk”. I say build it!

I followed you guys from the start, cheering up all the way through making your viewers inspired if it was a car building a house or creating a family and a home.

If you spent half of that on the rock crawler it'll all serve the best purpose it made for.

Did you see the jeep with the accident? This i what they should be doing with all builds, none of those are safe for the road, much less safe to tune and add a ton of power to. They need to be off road vehicles or kept on a track. Everyone that touches the r8 says its super sketchy. I cant imagine how sketchy the trackhawk is.

I loved the original build on the trackhawk was my favorite of all the builds! So glad you bought another to replicate it, as for the offroad build i was skeptical at first but i like where it’s headed and can’t wait to see the finished result 😎

Agree this does not belong on the main channel. If they want to do this kind of stuff create a 2nd channel for off road stuff. The main channel should only be for rebuilds of crashed cars. They wonder why they are losing viewers and this is it. 😊

I think its a cool build and different and alos the TRX has a front drive shaft that disconnects electronically when jumping so that may be something to consider.

For this to be turned into a Baja style truck the fenders need to be extremely wide, made from fiber glass and you have to gut the interior completely and put a roll cage and the whole 9 yards. The bottom skid plates for the underbody, custom bumpers, and etc. Needs to be as light as possible, but it really depends on how far you guys want to take it.
I love it I had this idea a while ago just not the funds to do it, im happy to see this.

I like the overall set up, and I think an actual off road track hawk is a great idea. The tires poking out like that look a little ridiculous. I also think it's going to wear your ball joints out pretty quickly. Overall I think it is pretty good.

It's a salvage titled vehicle. It doesn't hold its value because it was totaled, so they can do whatever with it.

Very smart on goonzsquad side to do this. Transfer all the good parts to a clean title track hawk, but piss off a lot of people with this one to make the ad revenue pay off the vehicle. Very smart from a business standpoint

Yeah, for low information folk like yourself it seems so crystal clear, if you look at their google analytics. Despite the almost 2.61 million subs their videos are only averaging 450k views. That means most subscribers have switched off, inactive or are bot accounts. Why do you think they're doing the "get rich quick" scam stakes/lotto? To hedge their declining channel with a passive income boost.

I think its a salvage title SUV and its pretty cool to just chop it up lol
Goonzquad, you should get a Lidar Sensor Drone Service of your property. That will tell you the depth, bumps and accurate measurement of the ground so you know were you can rip it off with the Baja Trackhawk. Also, It can tell you the way the water goes thru the property.
Not sure how I feel about the lifted Track Hawk just yet. But on a positive note I love the background music.

No one is jealous, lol. The build just looks stupid with that terrible wheel and suspension setup.
The reason so many people are mad is because the boys have forgot what made the channel what it is. There is a reason views are down over 30% from a year ago. This channel was about buying wrecked cars and rebuilding them. It wasn’t about taking fixed awesome cars and destroying them. If they want to do mods and hillbilly stuff then create a new channel for that and do it over there not on the main channel.
This channel is for rebuilds, not real estate, home improvement or mods. If they don’t realize this soon they could really lose the fanbase and then they will lose everything. Their flippant attitudes about it is also very concerning. I have witnessed and seen many successful channels crash a burn and it almost always starts with getting popular then letting the money go to your head and think your viewers opinions don’t matter anymore. These channels the die a slow death and I’m starting to see that here

You guys did an amazing job.If I had to critique the build and change anything it would be the offset and backspacing of the wheel assembly. Tires and wheels have a huge effect on the drivability and performance of the truck. Stick to what works.

Next thing to do is take it and the rock crawler to Utah. Meet up with Matt's offroad recovery, Bobby Layton, and Fab Rats. Take them to the maximum of their capabilities.

I can promise you that trackhawk will not do 1/10 of what their vehicles out there can do

They won’t collab with anyone. They literally have WhistlinDiesel and Vice Grip Garage in their backyard and haven’t ever tried to collab.
Only invited to a Cleetus event one time and done while other RUclipsrs continue to be invited tells you everything. They have never done any kind of public meet and greet for their fans except that one Cleetus event and it was a disaster. 6 years zero fan events says a lot.
So don’t expect them to take their vehicles anyway except to that new piece of property. You might be lucky to get one video jumping some minor hills then never see the build again

I like the idea but I think the tires are too large for the lift. But let’s see how they look with the fenders trimmed and the wider fenders installed. And some more lift height for those 33’s

Get a hold of Paul with Fab rats and see about were he gets his bumpers. I mean he makes rocks crawlers all the time and does off road recovery. So yeah he will have the technicals you guys might need for the custom bumpers.

As a rebuilt/total (and because you own the damn thing), I think you have "carte blanche" to do whatever you want to with that Trackhawk. That thing was so fortunate to have ended up in your hands, because I seriously doubt anyone else would have done to work to put it back on the road, much less off-road!

Should of stuck to the rock crawler that you guys purchased that thing was built for what you guys are intended to do
If you guys are really serious about jumping it you’re gonna have to do way more to strengthen the unibody more so than just bracing the strut towers and doing a roll cage otherwise you’re gonna have issues with the body flexing and windows braking. That’s why they make kits for the XJ Cherokee that are super thick steel plates that bolt to the unibody in the crumple zones and other weak areas for those who turn them into rock crawlers. That’s also why prerunners are made from body on frame trucks & very rarely suvs and trophy trucks are complete tube chassis.

There's always going to be mixed opinions on anything because pretty much everything is subjective. I personally think this is an amazing idea. It's one of a kind and will be an absolute monster once you figure out all the weak parts of it. The drivetrain is already the perfect bones to do this because it's made to handle a lot of power. All the haters are still bringing you attention. It's a win, win for you. Lol
I agree, this thing is awesome. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with modifying a vehicle to the way you want it. Even more so when it's the first like it and is actually functional and not just for looks.
