L/100km? 0_60? Worst conversion ever? What kit and parts? Our drama with industry option revealed!
Interior video coming soon! check out our Instagram justgotere for updates.
Love the laid back attitude when he is talking about the work done, respect. Lovely vehicle.
That steering shake….holy shit.
How did that not break something!
By far one of the best and honest rig run downs I've seen in a while! Thanks for sharing, subscribed for more + the interior video!
Bloody champion! Thankyou 🤟🏾
Beast of a build, good intel on 4x4 conversion kits, thanks!
Amazing. Taking me back 25 years when I thought this type of vehicle was the best method of transport to do the lap! Looking forward to your updates.
Thankyou!
You guys are a ball of joyful energy. Great job on the build! Looking forward to seeing your channel grow. Thanks for the vibes and tour! Good luck with the journey ahead mate🙏🏼
Thankyou for the kind words! ❤️
What a set up! Absolute beast of a rig. Thanks for showing us around and for your honest feedback. Those death wobbles looked bloody gnarly. Really keen to see the work you did on the inside as well.
Thankyou! Appreciate the comment, inside is coming!
awesome rig - great job - looking forward to your next vid. Thanks
Great vid. Looking forward to more of your travels and rig.
Its good to see something different. It has definitely kept me interested on the next video you've got coming up.
Thanks mate ❤️ appreciated it
thanks for the video you two , this is almost exactly what I want , thanks for all the info , hope you have a great life out there .
Thanks mate! Hope you find something that suits
Saw you in freo. I'm parked near you right now. That's a cool bus mate. I'm travelling in a 40 footer, heading north from here. Thanks for the awesome tour of your rig :) it's a bloody ripper
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm dreaming of buying and converting a coaster, so this was super useful information 😊
No worries at all ❤️ thanks for the view and comment
Pimped our bus. Looking forward to the inside tour. Safe travels
New sub
Great review. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Thankyou!
Very cool! Thanx for sharing. Aloha.
Keep em coming 👌🏻
Great looking rig despite the teething troublez i bet its still way better than 2wd even if just ground clearance n gearing used on easy tracks you have peace of mind that you can use 4x4 if caught out on tracks thanks for sharing on 70s model coasters a few so i was told used land cruiser front diff as ratios matched the rear and hilux transfere was supposed to bolt to standard 4 or 5spd gearbox never did it but always keen to try with a red 6 n 5spd thanks for sharing id love to own a vehicle like that as its best set up if your living in it cheers
Thanks for being open and naming and shaming old mate in Victoria.
Just remember, it is not slander or defamation if it is true.
Exactly right! Thankyou!
Great job I need to see the inside❤❤❤
Coming!
Sooo jealous!! 😆 We have a 1987 2wd Coaster and LOVE it... but would be great if it was a 4wd.
Looking foward to seeing the inside 🫶
Thankyou 🙏🏽 we’ll get crackin’!
I have a 89 and yes, if it was 4x4 I would keep it for ever
Love it.. love how much you've done yourself 👍
Thankyou ❤️ means a lot
Thanks for the inside info on the 4wd conversion. Were in the process at the moment. Good to hear and see a real review 💪
Getting one converted currently?
Haven’t started, piecing the parts list together and finding diffs. Currently just on super singles 2WD with a winch… winch has been getting a work out. Hope your enjoying The South West 👌
Yeah nice! Would love to know more, post up anything anywhere?
Just Aussie coaster mates, not much info on the conversions just a couple old forums about using NPS diffs or dana 60s with NP206’s… seems like a tight lipped secret. Tried joining the 4x4 conversion pages but no luck. Will keep looking 👍🙂
@@tomrobson761 depends what bus you have the abs models are difficult, particularly for engineering sake but the older ones are all sweet, canter diffs are the common older swap, need to turn the steering box around or get a Mazda t-truck steering box, that’s the most common older conversions. Do you mean np205? There was a build on exploroz but yeah, diffs are the easy part, steering box and transfer case is a bit tricky unless running it “divorced” style. If you want to message me on IG I have the drawers for steering box brackets to get cnc’d
Hi, love the rig mate, well done👍 just wondering what suspension set up you're running plus would like to know how you've managed to get the super singles onto the rig, cos I'm also looking for a Coaster 4X4, new subbie here take care and thanks for the vids keepem coming cheers😁👍
What an awesome setup, well done guys. I must know the name of that spot though😊
The vibration in the steering, holy shit wtf was that 😂😂😂😂😂😂Thanks for warning us.
Undie tester for sure!!
What a cool build , well done 👍
Thankyou!
good vid keep it coming 👍
Thankyou!
From Rowdy Cressidas to an epic Coaster. We're all getting old 🤣. Absolutely love it.
Hahah yew! Long term follower 😂
Epic rig, think I parked up next to you one day at Lefties car park, for a mid morning coffee.
Epic looking rig my bro
Had the big sprinter with all the box’s on the roof yew yew
Thanks dude! Yep! Been around there a fair bit over the last couple weeks, heading to Rottnest and up north now, hopefully see ya on the road 🤟🏾
That thing is ruthless! Swing by if you're ever in the blue mountains NSW 🤙🏼
Yewww! Thanks dude! We’re from northern NSW actually
Very impressive bus, Looks awesome!
🙏🏽 🙏🏽
Great vid guys and I look fwd to the interior. The bus is a weapon. Is there an inbuilt air compressor/tank to pump up the 35s and for the lockers?
Yep! We’ll show ya in the internal video 🤟🏾 as for the lockers the rear is just a mechanic Eaton and the front is a e-locker
wow did great job put all together with your 4x4 bus
wish best travel around australia
love my 2010 usuzu 4x4 crew cab 300hnps as great on fuel over distance 16 lite to 100km
Thankyou! Appreciate it
14:59 I actually dropped by to have a tour of the inside. Edit : I'll wait for the interior tour 🙂
Coming!
Great rig mate, will get you many awesome places.
Thanks 🙏🏽
nice set up
Best Coaster I have seen for Offroad, farrrrkkk moiii it must be fun driving this thing around!
😂 sure is 🤟🏾thanks mate!
Great video. Succinct and to the point and no annoying waffle either ... and I think your humour is great too!
If the rear diff is Coaster and the front diff is Landcruiser, how did you get the ratios to match?
Thankyou! That’s what we aim for at least 😂
Front diff is Dana from American trucks such as F-truck, Dodge etc. Because they’re so hugely remanufactured and used there is plenty of ratio options, just have to make sure it’s right because these transfer cases will 100 percent not forgive mismatch 😂
Bloody hell, those death wobbles. Cool bus.
Great Video guys, but it's been 6 days when do we get to se the inside, if it's anything like what you have done to the outside, it's gunna be great. Looking forward to it.
Saw this thing parked in Byron a while back, awesome set up. Those axle/suspension dramas sound like a nightmare though, glad you got it sorted.
Byron shire is our home town ❤️
@@Justgotere Thought you sounded FNCish! Takes one to know one hey!
Mongrels mate! Bloody mongrels!
I used to drive a Hino Pantech that would get those death wobbles at 80! It's terrifying!!
I've had the death wobbles on my lifted 80 series land cruiser going down Mooney mooney bridge and it's very scary.
When you hit a bump in the road you did the Harlem shuffle
Shit yeah! If only it was as trendy as the Harlem shuffle we’d be cool as!
Certainly come along way from Sports Cars and Dresses Roge! Loving this content mate.
Thanks brother!! Still got the same sack if you’re wondering
Wicked coaster man! In the thumbnail it definitely looks the goods but seeing on the dunes wow! We have a few 4x4 buses at work, including a Go4x4 Coaster, was pretty excited to see how went but even the Go4x4 is a huge disappointment. The bus has only done 100k km and it's noisy, no clearance (the diffs scrape on everything!) no articulation, barely does 100kph. It's offroad performance is worse than our 48 seat 2wd coaches lol and uses the same amount of fuel hahaha.
All of the 4x4 bus conversions Ive driven have been so lackluster I just decided to stay with my 2wd sprinter. Was hoping you were using a kit that I could buy (assumed it was custom fabricated from the thumbnail) so disappointing to hear about the troubles you had with kit manufacturer and that you basically had to re engineer it yourself.
Awesome job though and obviously a great 4x4 conversion can be done if you have the skills and time!
Thankyou! Appreciate the comment
My type of traveling right there. Great bus.
Thankyou! Ours too believe it or not 😂
Thats my dream right there !! 🥰
Where about did u get the wheels made
I want one. 😊
Love it! What a weapon!!
Thankyou! Appreciate the comment
sick love bus, enjoy the south west and great southern. It's called great for a reason :)
🙏🏽 🙏🏽
What a rig!
Looks like a beast of a bus.🦍👍💪🛠 Glad to hear you got that death wobble fixed. 😮
Have you thought about getting it wrapped ?
Looking forward to seeing the interior. 👀 😊
Thankyou and yes! I’m glad too!
I did! I concluded that the price of the wrap I would just ruin, Then I would have to replace that wrap to make it look not scratched after, so that’s the price of two wraps, then next time we travelled somewhere we would scratch it again and again etc 🤷♂️
I’m not fussed if the paint gets ruined, we built it for a purpose and don’t want to hold back. I’ve done quite a fair chunk of spraying on vehicles previously, so I may paint it down the track.. but then we’ll scratch it again..so I think… “what’s the point at all?” 😂
It’s funny because before we traveled full time I used to polish it, clean it all the time, worry about the paint etc.
Now I’m more worried if it’s clean and if it doesn’t have marks on the paint because that means I’m probably not using it. I feel almost embarrassed when it’s too clean being 4x4… weird right? 😂
@@Justgotere Roger that. There's always Rhino Liner spray paint. Used for pickup truck beds.👍💪
That’s badass 🇦🇺
Jeep owners call it the death wobble. Common problem with solid axles.
That is a RIG, well done mate
Thanks champion 🙏🏽
Beautiful machine
Thankyou!
What a weapon!
Just have a go yourself, that's a t-shirt great vid.
What a ripper rig, how long did the build take from start to resolving the issues?
Thankyou! The bus itself took me 5-6 years to do, i did the 4x4 conversion in two weeks, then took me 6 months to go through everything and fix/replace/fabricate the junk out. I was working full time and building a classic car at the same time so it didn’t get my full attention.
Thanks I was looking to buy one with that 4x4 conversion… that is very scary indeed
I’ve driven the bus 4x4 IFS kits and factory import 4x4’s, they drive far better out the box, this drives perfect now but wasn’t easy or cheap of course
@@Justgotere I’ll have to rethink on my decision now, the price was good for a 2016 model with the conversion, but not if that’s how they drive… it’s a 4 hr drive to go see it, so may just keep searching… thanks again
@@tomdavies8574 mate if you’ve got any questions or want to know anything further message me on instagram im happy to help. I know a huge portion of private owners so I may be able to assist. Wouldn’t recommend the stress I went through to anyone 😂
@@Justgotere thanks muchly
Bit disappointed ya both didn’t jump in the air and click ya heals hollering “Toyota” hahaha . Any way nice so far you two Truckers Now shows us ya insides lol
You win favourite comment ❤️
Awesome setup, what is the engine and gearbox or auto, there's nothing like being hands on, that way you know it inside out and back to front. Seeya Rob
Hey mate! Thankyou! It’s a N04c and 4sp A444e auto, thanks for the comment 🤟🏾
Cool !
U are
What was the overall cost, both the 4x4 conversion and then the “camping/ internal setup”?
I did everything myself so considerably less, probably as much as 79 series with a canopy 😂
Fuck yeh nice bus love ya work mate 🙌 show us the inside?
And I know its hard but what about a rough cost breakdown?
Coming up in the next week or so! Thanks dude!
trick setup? this got the 15B-FTE engine in it?
Hey mate! Love the cruiser! Nah this is the first of the N04c’s 4L TD and 4 speed auto’s. Goes pretty bloody good with a tune, obviously no rocket ship though that’s for sure 😂
@@Justgotere yeh right! Thanks for the reply, looking forward to more vids and let us know if you ever make it down to Tassie!
@@lronpaw absolutely! We will be down there next summer at a guess, would love to see your cruiser too 😂
That is a great Coaster.
Thanks mate ❤️
Wat a beast! 👍
Yewwww! Thanks dude
I love it
nice don
Thankyou! 🙏🏽
Hey guys, loved the vid. The joke about the mantrax was excellent. Best Ozzy joke I’ve heard in a long time.
😂 I’ll try keep ‘em coming for ya
👍
Whats your OF?
what kind of engine does it have?
The 4L TD out of Hino 300’s etc. N04c engine and a444e auto
Steering wobble is easy to fix
Space travel and brain surgery are too if you’re an expert in a particular field
Wise choice. You could never get la#d in a oka 4x4. No competition really. Spa water bed hydro ready? Your set.
😂😂
Fuck me you done a great job staying on the road
Unimog rules !!!
Understandably for some! But they are 100 percent not our cup of tea that’s for sure.
What engine does it have
N04c and a444e auto trans
Awesome setup please relocate the rear number plate not worth the fine
The celfi antenna is to low.
The Starlink ain’t! If the antenna was on the roof, no way it would still be intact.
Engine??
Hey mate! N04c and factory 4 speed auto
Unobscure the rear number plate or you will get a fine sooner than later.
It’s got a accessory plate on the swing away but thanks for the heads up 👍🏼
Aw, hell no!! them wobblies aren't cool at all! whoever decided that installation was ideal, shoulda bin swallowed, not hatched!!
💯
Death woble
That's NOT an Engineered suspension lift !!! 👺
😂 wanna make a bet? 2 companies do it in Australia full time
@@Justgotere Huh ? I'm saying that the dodgy kit you were sold wasn't designed properly and signed off on by an engineer.
The incredibly dangerous death wobble you experienced means it's not well designed. Come on....
Oh yes! Sorry I see what you mean, I thought you meant the height lift in particular. Apparently it has 😂 Hard to believe! It’s a very long story. We came across some crazy stories speaking to people who’ve been around the industry for years. Certainly not safe as you can see!
Well keep the 4wd drive stuff for later, Bye.
😂
Bye bye you boring couch potato 😂
Hooroo
Wrong castor
Tried it all, tried even ridiculous amounts in the early stages but didn’t change a thing. The underlying more major problems of bump steer, overloaded components and geometry clearly fixed it. Now we can run normal castor and it works perfect and drives amazing. pretty clear answer in the end for us. Guess it’s hard to tell when you weren’t there for the process though.
Name and shame, oath
We love your videos and also started following you guys on instagram. They are great. Out of curiosity, what app are you using for adding the music to your instagram video posts as we want to make a few ourselves. Hopefully see you on a beach track one day along the way.
Hey mate! That’s awesome, Thankyou! We are very very novice at this 😂, we just used iMovie then added music with RUclips editor, for the instagram just the normal reels 🤟🏾 hope so too! You guys got a Insta and travelling?
@@Justgotere We are picking one up shortly that is basically good to go for us. And we will be chasing as many "Pinstriping" tracks as we can that a coaster isnt designed to go down. Love a challenge
@@Justgotere we are looking at one for sale in Cairns and trying to work out what we are buying. Was converted but not sure sho did the conversion and we dont want to get the wrong conversion. Can we send you a link and get you to look at and let me know what you think. Trying to work out if it was a good or dodgy conversion
