Sunset Harbour (31:07) has amazing saxophone portions in it! 😄
And the flute reminds me of similar melodies used in Hey Rozalinda & Butterfly Kiss.

I love these old Muzak tracks, especially the ones from the WTC, and Ceefax. They feel like the theme music of some bygone era.

There are many people that did this. Not sad at all, i always found it extremely relaxing. Now i'm in my 40's working a 9-5 and sometimes put these on for some nostalgia and chill time.

Well I've heard from many people tha in the 70s and 80s music like this did play in supermarkets and shopping malls, I'm just not old enough to remember. I'm guessing the same is true for you? Haha.

It was partly because they couldn't afford real music, but at the same time it also gave opportunity for new composers to make music for a real programme. The same applies for British Transport films. I highly doubt they played this in supermarkets; then again, Co-op radio was bloody awful, it always seemed to have dancing in the moonlight playing :P

This is real supermarket music. Not like in the good old days before 1990 when test card music was a work of art.

There used to be some French songs on there. Anyone any idea who the singer was?

Oh wow did they actually play this kind of thing in supermarkets? I thought it was just on television programmes that couldn't afford rights to real songs haha.
