Feel old watching this I'm 25
Sunset Harbour (31:07) has amazing saxophone portions in it! 😄
And the flute reminds me of similar melodies used in Hey Rozalinda & Butterfly Kiss.
I love these old Muzak tracks, especially the ones from the WTC, and Ceefax. They feel like the theme music of some bygone era.
Used to love watching and listening to this when i couldn't sleep at night. Was abit sad really 😟😢
There are many people that did this. Not sad at all, i always found it extremely relaxing. Now i'm in my 40's working a 9-5 and sometimes put these on for some nostalgia and chill time.
Have been listening to Ceefax music compilations all day while working at home. It's just nice background music!
@@laciryl same I am 44 and i love the late night chilled vibe of this
wicked tunes on here.
I watched and listened the last time Pages From Ceefax was 10th January 2011 before the next month. On the 28th February 2011 Chillin Out had come out of service making replaced the brand new compilation by Sunlips first on Pages From Ceefax as from 28th February 2011 had 20 tracks.
Like sinking into a hot bath.
Well I've heard from many people tha in the 70s and 80s music like this did play in supermarkets and shopping malls, I'm just not old enough to remember. I'm guessing the same is true for you? Haha.
It was partly because they couldn't afford real music, but at the same time it also gave opportunity for new composers to make music for a real programme. The same applies for British Transport films. I highly doubt they played this in supermarkets; then again, Co-op radio was bloody awful, it always seemed to have dancing in the moonlight playing :P
can't knock dancing in the moonlight mate ! just a time and a place.. not the co-op ):
This is real supermarket music. Not like in the good old days before 1990 when test card music was a work of art.
cool beats

No doubt some hipster will splice this up an release it as Vaporwave
Just did. Ha
Been doing it for years, although not very well
There used to be some French songs on there. Anyone any idea who the singer was?
Oh wow did they actually play this kind of thing in supermarkets? I thought it was just on television programmes that couldn't afford rights to real songs haha.
