She's a beauty for sure! I have a friend who is a gunsmith (aren't I lucky?) He acquired a box of parts that eventually made up an FN FAL, the oddity was the barrel, someone had taken a hacksaw to it at about 17" long, just long enough to cut it back and thread it for whatever muzzle device and keep it stamp free. That has a very distinctive silhouette also and my personal fav. But dang, the M1A is a beast too!
I bought a SOCOM 2 when they first came out, almost 20 years ago? I love that rifle, it's super loud though. I even have those nefarious 20 round magazines for it.

The most normal Colion review (its totally not paid by Springfield, its only a coincidence that springfield releases the embargo and his video comes out).
As a Cop..my sniper rifle was a Rem 700 SPS tactical in 308. Being long rifle we carried AR15s as well. ALL our 700s were bolt, one shot. Doc saw the Springfield and I bought one..MY dime. AR is fine and we had 8 in the field...we had ONE 308 semi. Same optics on both
It’s the final one i need. I own a Stainless Kreiger Barreled variant NM M1A which has been completely hot rodded and laid into a Troy M14 Battle Rail Chassis; a Super Match with the Parakarized Douglas Barrel and the SOCOM 16. Scout Quad is the one I am missing. Great guns!!
The loaded model with Wood stock is what does it for me. National match barrel, and national match sights front and rear with 2 stage Nm trigger. Way more accurate than the standard and still nostalgic.
I love my scout squad! I first tried it with a long eye relief optic similar to what he has. Then I mounted a traditional optic with the not included* hardware. I just threw on a red dot and am having a whole new level of fun with it. I am NOT having fun with the cost of ammo but still one of my favorites. I know it’s not a Fulton armory super elite sniper build but I’ve always been happy with the accuracy using 168 OTM. It’s coming with me next range day for sure. 👍
And the mechanics hated because it leaked like a funnel when it was on the ground and cold. The seals didn't close properly until it was warm and moving.
I have an M1 Garand from the CMP. It is my favorite rifle to show when visitors come to my home. As a retired EOD NCO, I had to own one. I have fired it one and only because my son was leaving for basic. It is heavy, a pain to clean, and kicks like a mule but the historical value more than makes up for the down side. Last year my wife bought me an M1A scout tanker (wood stock rather than synthetic). I have yet to shoot it but I an looking for a scope to make it my hunting/defense rifle. I have several ARs that are fine and durable but I am 6'6", 275 and love the heft of the M1A. I have watched many of Mr. Noir's videos but not a fan of shooting without hearing protection. I don't believe the hood of the sweatshirt provides a sound barrier. I wear one hearing aid from an injury while in the Army and I will not let anyone shoot my guns without proper hearing protection. Yeah, I am the same guy who watches wood working videos and complains if they don't wear eye protection but some safety should just be common sense.

Fired this once on a range. Fell in love with it. I know you bitched about the safety, but that shit felt natural to me, fiddling round with my thumb feels like I’m compromised my grip. Got to say, although a shorter barrel gives a slightly louder report it’s ideal. To me, a thing of beauty. Enjoy yours, can’t wait to get back to a country with sensible gun ownership laws - this will be on my top ten list of purchases.

Fell in love with the M14 in Armorer School 30 years ago, and this weekend I'm filling out the 4473 to purchase an M1A Scout. That design is the 1969 Dodge Charger of weapons, sleek, mean, and has plenty of muscle.

He acquired a box of parts that eventually made up an FN FAL, the oddity was the barrel, someone had taken a hacksaw to it at about 17" long, just long enough to cut it back and thread it for whatever muzzle device and keep it stamp free. That has a very distinctive silhouette also and my personal fav. But dang, the M1A is a beast too!
I got a “loaded” model. Deff a tank. Feels like the 1965 Cadillac deVille of the semi auto .308 world
I have a full length with an optic. I love it
I bought a SOCOM 2 when they first came out, almost 20 years ago? I love that rifle, it's super loud though. I even have those nefarious 20 round magazines for it.
My favorite battle rifle of all time bar none! I carried the military version of it (M-14) in Afghanistan in the early 2000's ..
the scout squad is definitely the coolest and most practical M1A. I will get one on the future. It's just a great, do-everything rifle.
Colion loves this because it's hella expensive.
If there was a $5,000 modern sporting gun Colion Noir could buy, he would.
*Added Edit: Then a pro-2A organization would sponsor him if he promotes their brand for capitalism purposes. They'd supply him everything needed. Money makes the world go round!
It’s not that expensive bruh. Get your money up.
The most normal Colion review (its totally not paid by Springfield, its only a coincidence that springfield releases the embargo and his video comes out).
It costs as much as comparable .308's.
Most AR-10’s cost more. It’s no more expensive than most 308’s.
the garand lineage is something pure American, all models and that is beautiful
that's why I bought a mini-14 ranch. Classic rifle design
I have had mine for 3 years and love it.
Agreed, its always been at the top of the aesthetic list for me as well.
Fun fact, the SR71 Blackbird was the last airplane design and engineed with a Slide Rule!
Nowadays, companies like Boeing design planes with a slide whistle
@@duffthimblespork Do engineering based on feelings!
And the mechanics hated because it leaked like a funnel when it was on the ground and cold. The seals didn't close properly until it was warm and moving.
Kelly Johnson was a genius
In like 3 years, Noir gonna be reviewing the full 22" barrel model bc its his new favorite
Loved the M1A Scout Squad so much I bought the tanker 4 months later both are beautiful
I’m on the crossroad of owning a loaded model but deciding between tanker and soccom 😂😂
Literally fell in love with
With it when I saw it at the gun store
Really cool editing keeping the rifle still, I like it :)
Man, my thoughts go out to those Paul's family and paul himself. I don't believe there is anybody in the world that could deliver the same. But I'm certain you will do best. Thank you for the update. Thank you, Paul, for your years of. Contingency And I like your smoky, the Bear hat......... My best to you. All
Fired this once on a range. Fell in love with it. I know you bitched about the safety, but that shit felt natural to me, fiddling round with my thumb feels like I’m compromised my grip. Got to say, although a shorter barrel gives a slightly louder report it’s ideal. To me, a thing of beauty.
Enjoy yours, can’t wait to get back to a country with sensible gun ownership laws - this will be on my top ten list of purchases.
the scout sqaud is a great rifle, but I used the socom for 3 gun heavy metal
I will admit the Garand grandchild aesthetic is what drew me to buying my first firearm the M1A socom. Especially being limited in options by CA.
Who doesn't love this rifle??
every soy boy video site who thinks you fire this full auto from standing
Gun owner haters.

@@jameslarsen3658Do'h!! lmao 🤣😂
Picked up the 16" a few years ago..... Spot on Video.
OMG that's my favorite rifle and jet too . I got M14 but I want to get the M1A. Love it .
I, too, love the scout. Really nice when its suppressed...
Always enjoy your knowledge and humor
Beautiful rifle 😍
My favorite one in the collection! 😎
Isn’t that a oxymoron Liberal Patriot
I picked up a used m1a a few weeks ago for $600. Im not the familiar with M1As so wasnt sure what i was getting. I got it home and ran #s through Springfield website. It turned out to their top of the line model. Best purchase ive made in years. Ive put about 500rds through it with no issues. Holding 3/4" at 100yds. Looking into a scout model next
Fell in love with the M14 in Armorer School 30 years ago, and this weekend I'm filling out the 4473 to purchase an M1A Scout. That design is the 1969 Dodge Charger of weapons, sleek, mean, and has plenty of muscle.
