Either one could have been able to obtain more information on habits and adaptations. Since Nairo didn’t stick with the same character, he could have missed out on some valuable info, this does of course go both ways. Choice does impact the course of the match, even if there was a bracket reset.

He had 2 games in which he found out a lot about ZSS while Marss only adapted to the ganon playstyle. After nairo went palu he was totally warmed up, thats pretty obvious because he reverse 3-0ed with palu right after the ganon matches. I personally think its clear that going ganon was not in any way negativ for nairo, maybe beneficial but i would not try to overthink this. nexus51210 no he isn’t. He’s the worst in brawl and he’s not viable in melee and smash 4. He’s probably more medium tier than high tier. Sure his damage output is really good but a character needs speed to be good. And ganons slow. And lets not forget that the only aerials people bother to use are his neutral aerial and and his downward aerial that spikes you even in the lowest of damage.
Yeah, in the beginning of Ultimate, there was a bug with falling dairs like that (Toon Link had it too, for example) that made you float upwards a bit and to leave you floating there if you did it right out of tumble, it was "fixed" in a later patch. "Fixed" because it's still janky and just let's you fall down much slower than it should, it's great for ZSS because of it's mixup potential but if you time it wrong or place it wrong, u ded
So I've played ZSS before and I know her dair slows down when using it immediately after getting hit, but I've never seen it completely stop in midair before (6:29). I don't know if there's a good explanation for that or what, but no one else seems to be talking about it.

This can prevent you from flip jumping in the correct direction since it only reads down or the opposite input if your control stick was there previously Conversely at a 45° rotation (perfect diagonal) it will usually read the down input first but there are certain conditions that cause it to read horizontal input first. This happens consistently on land. Hold 45 and spam B. If you're not already crawling forward you'll side B. if you wait until you start crawling you'll down b. completely different outcomes even without moving the stick. in the air I'm not sure what determines what comes out but i die at least once a match that way. maybe it's tumble fall? Edit: @31:42 here as well. Two issues. At 0.25 playback speed you see his second jump come out as he lands. Regarding the side b he clearly intended to flip jump because Nairo was so high (no way plasma was intentional imo). Classic ZSS SD bullshit i deal with as well

I know this was late but nairo was on losers side, you can only lose a total of two sets in a tournament "besides some outliers like summit" so Marss was in winners side and got knocked into losers and nairo was in losers and got knocked out of tournament
Back then, stall-then-fall moves (like Sheik, Sonic, and Toon Link's dair as well) had this weird thing where if you used them shortly after getting launched, they'd stall in the air for a bit. Jumping right before doing it as Marss did made the stall even greater. There was a patch for it but they still might be in the game to some degree.
Commentators were a little bias. I mean, I know it's Nairos stream and all, but at least try to hide it. Nairo does three Nairs and they pop off. Whilst Marss is pulling off some crazy shit with a character hardly anyone plays :(

@@LeafysHere oh I figured it out btw. If you get knocked up, you can jump D-air which will sometimes make you float around at the top of the stage. If you play back 6:30 you will see he got knocked up, jumped, then performed it. I think you can still do it, but it got patched as in it won't give you any competitive edge, it's all just for show now.
Yeah it happens, if you take knockback but you are out of hitstun, the dair will go downward and the knockback will push you upward causing you to stall like that.
When zss isnt falling, that happens, if you do the down air again, now she goes down. I really don't know why this happens, but it is when you're going up and trying to do down air.
@@Uppercut92 It's not a glitch. Aerials like ZSS d-air have a set value for downward momentum. If they're flying up at any speed before they use D-air, the upward knockback conflicts with the downward d-air speed.

@@LeafysHere oh I figured it out btw. If you get knocked up, you can jump D-air which will sometimes make you float around at the top of the stage. If you play back 6:30 you will see he got knocked up, jumped, then performed it. I think you can still do it, but it got patched as in it won't give you any competitive edge, it's all just for show now.

Yeah it happens, if you take knockback but you are out of hitstun, the dair will go downward and the knockback will push you upward causing you to stall like that.

What happened to zss and 6:28 how did he freeze down aerial?
ZSS and characters with a downward shooting aerial have a glitch that stops the moves momentum if the character that was just launched.
When zss isnt falling, that happens, if you do the down air again, now she goes down. I really don't know why this happens, but it is when you're going up and trying to do down air.
@@Uppercut92 It's not a glitch. Aerials like ZSS d-air have a set value for downward momentum. If they're flying up at any speed before they use D-air, the upward knockback conflicts with the downward d-air speed.
