It may seem picky, but those are screws holding it in, not bolts. Bolts go through unthreaded holes and have nuts on the end. Machine screws go into threaded holes. Obviously, wood screws make their own threads ( I had to add that because someone even pickier than me would point it out for me). Yes, I know there are self-tapping and even self-drilling and tapping screws, too. The big difference is, bolts have nuts and don't need threads in whatever they are bolting together, but screws don't have nuts, and usually don't go all the way through both pieces that are being joined. Otherwise, a great DIY video. P.S. I had the same watermark issue with my first Filmora video.
This 100% works on a 7th Gen camry (2012-2014) same part number same thing! Dealership wanted $1,300 telling me I'd have to drop the headliner all this extra stuff. So thanks for saving me $1,300!
Thanks a lot man, great video, just changed mine, (didn't unscrew all 4, just the two in front and tilted the sunroof and propped the front side with a bottle) No rattling at all now, even wind sounds disappeared and saved about 200$
Been looking at this fix for my 2014 IS250 F Sport and just bought the upgraded weather strip part and it solved the rattle. Great step by step video man. Thanks!
Fuck yeah finally found someone that has the same problem I have with my isf! Thanks for the awesome video! Will watch every video you upload on the isf.
Thank You. I have been struggling for the last one hour and could not get the seal to seat. Then watched your video... The Water Trick Saved my day. I used distilled water using a sprayer. Then every thing sat like Magic ! Thanks again !
Thank you very much, Hunter. Unfortunately for this procedure, JM Lexus dealership maintenance department of Boca Raton Florida requests $8000. I am not exaggerated. If you want I can send you a copy of the estimation for roof repair of my Lexus Rx 350 2012 with 62000 miles on it. Your video helped me to replace this weatherstrip and prevent water damage to my car in near future. The drain system clogged, carpet replacement, molding damaged, etc. that dealers claimed, all of that were just lying! We need more videos like that
Did it this afternoon on a ‘14 ES with a clunk the shop diagnosed as bad shocks and wanted 2k to “fix” T-25 nut driver and glass cleaner. Hardest part is figuring out how to seat the gasket properly at first. Took maybe 45 minutes.
Great video. One thing I would add is don't use a powered screwdriver or nut driver. Those T25 bolt threads strip really easily. Use a hand tool. Don't ask me how I know.
How much for seal, and where did you get it. Did you get it at Toyota parts at dealer shop did you order it from somewhere we want to know thanks, if you show how you remove it for a future show and is the sunroof the same as toyota corolla..2012..LE 1.8 thanks for your help..
I ordered it at the Lexus dealership just so that I knew it would be the correct part. I paid about $80 but I know you can get them cheaper from places such as eBay. You can always get the part number from the dealership and then find it somewhere else online for less.
Where did you find the new seal. I think I have the same roof as a GX470 and mine is a 2005 4Runner. Seems like seal isn’t sold separately. Thank for video.
I just went to my local Lexus dealership. If you search the part number in the video description you should find some buying options other than a dealership if you want.
I'm going to try and do this to the F before I have it shipped off. Mine is loose and bounces on rough roads. It's loud and annoying. Oh and just for sh*ts and giggles, Army > Chair Force. I do cry when I see y'all living in better barracks down range while we are peasants in barely what we call tents. Lol

Happy to have helped!
Welcome to the age of stealership.
Appreciate the video! Not the same car but gives me an idea on how to go about it on my Toyota. Thanks.
Thanks! Sunroof seal on my GS was warn so much it would rattle every time the doors closed. Super quiet now and no wind noise.
Thank you so much for making this video. Very detailed. Valuable information. Money saving instructions. 👍
EXCELLENT tutorial! Your video is going to save me ALOT of money, I THANK YOU!!

Thank you for making the video! mine has been bothering me for a year now.
Thank You SR!!!! This seems super easy

I was looking for instructions how to fix same issue on Kizashi. Very similar process. Thank you.
Thank you for you’re help , 😊😊
Awesome video, you just helped me a ton. Thank you!
Thanks for this Hunter!
Thanks.Try silicone spray for lubrication, it's much better.
Any tips on how to get the wrinkles out of the corners? I've tried working them for 3 hours and still cant get them out.
Very helpful. TY
Wow. A lot easier than i thought. Probably similar in a Lexus rx330
I wish you can do that on my Toyota Camry needs to replace the seal on the sunroof just like you did I wish she was in Tampa, Florida❤❤
Seems really straightforward. Thanks for sharing. What did you use to grease the track? White lithium greese?
Yes, white lithium!
