frankly churchkhelas sold anywhere in georgia are not good quality at all. churchkhelas are supposed to be soft and easily chewable. but the makers mix something (not pure grape juice) to make it cheaper for production ending up in a rubber like texture which is so hard to eat that after eating just a small piece the jaws are sore like hell. so if you want to eat a real churchkhela you have to make it yourself. this year we are making it at home.
