The Prism deck case is clearly meant to be BCW’s version of the Boulder cases from Ultimate Guard. Anyone interested in this form factor might want to compare to the Boulders, as I think their design is a little simpler for opening and probably better overall. I don’t know relative pricing though.
Boulders are so much better than anything BCW puts out. And super compact, including a 40-card version which can usually fit in board game boxes unlike the Prism.

I used to be pretty big into accessories when I played MTG. Wanted to note that BCW and Ultra Pro are more of the mass producers among accessory companies, analogous to a McDonalds, Subway, Applebees, etc. of the restaurant world. If you want a step up and can afford it, you’re often going to get better products from companies such as Ultimate Guard, Gamegenic, and Arcane Tinmen (makers of Dragon Shield) just to name a few. Check out the Tolarian Community College YT channel. He’s reviewed just about every deckbox and gaming accessory out there (at least for card storage, though he does other accessories as well). For deckboxes I’d highly recommend Ultimate Guard’s Boulders which are well made and as compact as it gets for the number of cards they store (they even have 40-card versions). They ain’t cheap, but they’re so worth it if you can afford it. I think Gamegenic has a similar product to the Boulder and there are probably other good ones out there from other companies, but I haven’t kept up with new accessory releases much since I quit MTG a couple years ago.
Thanks for doing the video! I actually use the BCW Prime x4 for my Marvel Champions cards for portability and enjoy it immensely. My only criticism is that I wish I could put a divider in the narrow long space to split up tokens more. I've thought about the xl one because I tend to build lots of decks with multiple scenarios going on, and it might be better long term. I noticed your Prism boxes match the hero/villain card backs for Marvel Champions. You also have a lot BuyTheSameToken tokens as well :) Be curious to see what you think of their hard plastic 3200 storage container for cards. I also use their Matte Deck Guard (sleeves), and they shuffle quite nicely.
Zee, to get double rows with the sorting trays, have you tried assembling each individual front-to-back pair first and then assembling those pairs side by side after? Seems like that would fix the issue you had with alignment.

Too bad you didn't review my favorite BCW supply: The Deck Guard Clear sleeves. I use them for Legendary Marvel, Marvel Champions, and most board games. It's a great combination of price and quality, and I like being able to see the original card backs. I do love the Prime Gaming boxes as well.
I just realized that the sorting trays might also be good card trays for gameplay when you have decks of cards that you want to draw from--keeping the decks from flopping or spilling over and making it each to hand a bunch of decks over to another part of the table. I could see it being a good way to set out a Dominion game, for example, especially combined with a lazy susan. Or holding the different regional decks from Arkham Horror.
@@JonReid01 How about just using small dishes or old takeaway sauce containers? This junk is totally unnecessary. Unless you're autistic and need everything arranged in matching symmetrical colour coded containers?
