so most of the faults are caused by nervousness and lack of self confidence

I failed my test in early September at the Hendon driving test centre with one serious fault. I could’ve easily avoided it as it’s the most basic, I failed for not checking my blind spots 4 times, and got 6 minors. 3 for moving off blind spot checks, signalling and junction observations. So I was really close
Am about to book my test in Hendon driving test centre in October,can I ask is Hendon test centre easier or Mill Hill ?
@@farheenbegum3798 I haven’t done Mill Hill, but when I did my test in Hendon it was at 9 AM so just after rush hour. I guess it’s easier, because it felt quick and easy

@@sidrahaqqi3790 I failed. It was so wet the road was flooded the examiner said they wouldn't be able to use that test route for the rest of the day. I got two potentially serious faults but there was no other vehicle.

Recently started my driving lessons, I'm really struggling with going down gears!! Any tips?
Just make sure you start slowing down BEFORE gearing down. Other than that, it just takes practice to get used to it.

Yes if there’s time, but they wouldn’t advice you to switch late as people then complain that they made the mistake due to the examiner

Failed mine this morning for stopping and letting a schoolkid waiting to cross at a dropped kerb just for him to stare at me and not cross
The first part (junctions) has really made me appreciate dual controls 😅
as a biker i always shoulder check in addition to mirrors even when driving the car before commencing a lane change, and yes its totally worth it, had stuff sitting in the blind spot before

Hey book it at 6am on a Monday morning, there should be some slots available. but it will be about 5-6 months ahead. thats the best way

I have my test tomorrow morning and I've been much more confident driving but practicing today with my dad (not his fault) made me drop my confidence because I keep thinking that every thing that goes wrong would result in a fail. How do I get my confidence back for tomorrow's test? (5th attempt but I've practiced a lot since the last test)

I haven’t been doing my lessons for that long and haven’t been on multiple lane roundabouts yet, so forgive me if this is very ignorant, but if you want to change lanes while on the roundabout and another vehicle is in the lane you want to go into, do you just slow down and wait for them to move so you I can safely merge? I thought you weren’t supposed to slow down or stop on roundabouts..? That may just be me misunderstanding though

its too weird for me, I'm in the EU from Switzerland driving is inverted, I know something is wrong but at the same time everything is mirrored.

Response to traffic lights is why I failed an attempt at my PCV. Conflict between how I was trained and how I was examined. Trained, once past point of no return, to keep going to maintain safety and comfort whilst examined in a way that if there is space to stop, to stop, no matter how hard the braking is.

I failed my test today. I got to potentially serious faults I didn't impact any other road users. It was so wet the road was flooded the examiner even said they wouldn't be able to use the test route until the water had cleared.
The examiner did say I didn't have many driving faults.
I'm disappointed but hopefully next time there won't be a flood.

At 7:32, is an excellent example of poor use of mirrors because it’s not a case of not using the mirrors but making a poor observation from checking mirrors. You aren’t just showing the examiner that you can remember to check your mirrors but showing them you know what you are actually checking for. You CANNOT treat lorries the same way that you treat cars. They can’t stop as quick as cars. You must always give these vehicles space. This immediately turns what would be a serious fault anyway to a very dangerous one. God bless instructors like Aman who are not only patient but always vigilant.

What is your gut instinct telling you. Give way to traffic approaching from your right and only go if you won't effect traffic approaching from your right that includes traffic approaching the roundabout

5:00 do they not teach people to check their blindspot in Britain??
i always get teached to check interior mirror sidemirror blindspot then lastly indicate then merge atleast here in sweden 😂 this is definetly wierd in uk
Never knew of the yellow box junction rule saying you can enter if turning right and the exit is clear.
Then again we don't get much of those in Sheffield, apart from junctions that clearly are blocked with traffic beyond the box lines

@@collinslfc thank you the theory test was harder than the actual test i was test ready back in march this year my instructor helped me out a lot i was doing 2 to 3 hour lessons which helped me out done a lesson before test which was shocking but i shrugged off the mistakes and smashed the test with 1 minor
