    The expense of establishing a crop of maize only to be confronted with this type of shit at harvesting, makes you wonder about the whole process. Not to mention the knock on effect on the next years crop with the state of the field.

  • @madeljacky

    Correct friesiancowboy, the field might look good as new next year but getting mucked like this hurts the soil structure and takes several years to recover. On the other hand, what do you do when the crop has to be cut and ground conditions are not ideal, its a difficult choice but if it was my choice, non of these big machines would be in the field.

    i used to be a contractor doing maize in wet swampy areas, when you get stuck the worst thing you can do is spin your wheels fast. Any real driver knows this fact.

    good vid,thats hardship there boys.its naw easy.thats were you want your best drivers.not some young boy who is going to sit spinning and bury her,you want the men who can feel the grip and know when to give it to her and when to stop.not sure about the man with the back and forward tactic when he got stuck,all i ever seen that doing was making the tracks bigger and always ended up in a tow or push anyway.the redrock earned her keep that day anyway,fair handy just like the man driving her.

  • @friesiancowboy

    whats the tyre on the front for?

    • @briansharkey867
      @briansharkey867 5 лет назад

      friesiancowboy, if you watch carefully, they use the tractor with the front tyre to push the tractor and trailer. It’s to prevent damaging either the pushing tractor’s front linkage or the trailer.
