A vampire, a dieselpunk off-road biker, and fucking MASTER CHIEF from Halo do not fit in with SoT.
Y’know fashion in this game actually gets really easy if you get past the phase of “I’m just going to throw on the most impressive stuff I have wholesale” and/or buying the most generically cool looking (non-piratey) cosmetics.
To an extent. There's still an extreme drought in actual pirate clothes. I can only think of four black jackets (ferryman, blackdog, George and DA), two of which are unobtainable.
Heyo, incredible video as always One small thing I'd like to comment on since I've been datamining Sea Of Thieves for a while, is that the stripey shirts (and other clothes) you mention are in the game files, are actually tailor made for the NPC that use them. Now the hats aren't really a problem since they're one static model, but other articles of clothing are a lot more complicated. Each shirt model has a normal variant, a tucked in variant, a variant for when you're wearing a jacket, and a variant for when you're wearing a jacket and it's tucked in. Not to mention making it conform to every body type. Now I'm sure rare has automated these processes, but it is a small barrier for adding them to the game. Also if an npc is wearing a jacket over a shirt, and they wanted to add that shirt into the game for players, they would have to model the entire rest of that shirt as well, for when a player isn't wearing a jacket ya know? I would still love more pirate looking clothing in game, but just porting over from npcs isn't really viable or easily done.
Great video, you had some sick looking outfits! Ive been disappointed with a lot of the clothing options. Its hard to find stuff that looks good without going over the top. The gauntlet goes well with the DA stuff since they have silver accents, though the privateer "gloves" are warm and don't exactly match, but you can offset that with enough gold items such as those boots. They never took the futuristic route tho everything they sell in pirate emporium always stayed inside the styleguide of the game and never went to the robotic or future scifi "Unrealistic" direction like for example the Halo outfit and borderlands shipset that all seems plausable for the game. The same goes for the mystic plant bundle(I forgot the name) I've never had the impression that the outfits sold would be out of reach for the world you sail around in considering it has Giant crabs,Clams, People with dark glowing eyes, Sparkly ghosts etc. (But yeah more basic pirate clothing is a real need especially for people who just started playing and maybe can't get some of the nicer cosmetics like the ones showed in this video)
@@papacroc498 I'd rather have new biomes with new type of cosmetics (iceworld / desert / jungle / European / Spanish / tribal / pirate) and some ghostly/skeleton types. Briggsy's hat deserves better than the vitriol people give it, I don't think it's ugly at all. Its problem stems from the fact that it doesn't match most outfits, being a unique blood orange colour instead of red.

I've got one that I call The Ominous Privateer
OoS hat and shirt
Briggsy's Mask
Privateer pants
The Bonesmith Belt
Whatever rings you have or want, personally the OoS tier 3 rings look good but you do you lol
Any chest or arm tattoos
No shoes
And to top it off the OoS curse to give that look of "you've seen beyond the veil and unfortunately it was horrifying"
The scrum outfit is also nice
That's a costume though.
YEAAAH thats what I wanted thanks man ❤ you should work for rare fr
SoT started like a serious pirate simulator but got taken over by weird demonic beings 👹👺👽🤡☠️😈👻🤖 Time for a reset! And I’ll hire you for costume design!
The balance of weird things and realistic clothes should be 80/20% imo. Time for SOT2 !
Yeah they kept within the bounds, that's right..
That guy as you called is Capitaine Chevalle 3:32
My outfit is no shirt with tattoos, blue curse, and the plague doctor head
I wear a mix of DA, PL, and Briggsy's hat
Briggsy's hat deserves better than the vitriol people give it, I don't think it's ugly at all. Its problem stems from the fact that it doesn't match most outfits, being a unique blood orange colour instead of red.
I have my character wearing the cc hat sailor eyepatch don't remember which beard and the guybrush outfit without the hair
More please
I might, unsure. Rather busy these days.
My outfit Is red black and gold I use the blood stone dragon hat sailor eyepatch corsair hair famous pirate beard and jacket brigsy's gloves sovereign shirt newest parrot belt the unique one different from the others midnight blade trousers and heroic helmsman boots
Weapon load out stereotypes pls ie blunder sword
Genuine question why are you saying Georges shirt at 1:09 when that's the mysterious strangers shirt? I get his real name os george, but most people dont know that, and it's not the name of the cosmetic, so it's sorta misleading when you really think about it. 🙃
If I say it enough, they _will_ know. It's not misleading, it's educational.
need more lady pirate looks
I don't quite have the figure for it.
@Bacxaber hit me up and I'd be happy to model some lady pirate looks for a future vid
Can we have a part 2
Perhaps.
they really should add more pirate cosmetics sot is not fortnite
can you do more stereotypes i liked those
Two things. One, I'm really not seeing many new stereotypes regarding newer content. Most new cosmetics aren't used much. Most pirates still only wear a handful of outfits/costumes, so I don't have much new material to work with.
Two, rather busy with my career. Sorry.
@@Bacxaber yeah its fine
Is there some tool for sea of thieves fashion
Not that I know of.
I have the proud plume pegleg, pants, and shirt, no jacket, slouch hat, intrepid explorer belt, sailor eyepatch, long hair, corsair sea dog beard, artistic souls/sea beasts tattoo and dirty rotten bilge rat boots
I'll never understand the love for the slouch hat.
@@Bacxaber if there was a hat similar in design to it but with feathers, that would be my hat
Hey fella, can u do some outfits with like the gold hoarders, u know my men, kinda brown with gold or somethin like that please ma bro. Ur video is perfect yo, do second part.
I might. Kinda wallowing in despair over my more important projects though, feels awful to work on videos that don't benefit me.
How do you get flamehearts hat?
It was from season 8. If it hasn't returned yet, it will eventually.
How hard was it to get triumphant sea dog
Pretty hard.
@@Bacxaber it was like 240 wins right so how many hours would that take
@@redneck2127 I dunno.
These are good, but with fat characters it’s like a different story. Maybe a fat character design video would be sweet
I no longer have any friends with fat characters, but I do believe the marauder looks good on them.
I’ve got a fat guy and the powerhouse works great too, the sleeveless shirts look good too and remind me of that one character in sot art
Me no wear silly clothes i only wear rags
4:37 nice
Tell me you dont have any actually good commendations without telling me you dont have anyt good commendations
I have most commendations.
@@Bacxaber Yeah but none of the pvp ones bc thats to scary right or did u get ur fav 9k from ur discord to carry u.
@@eddie_mtb7780 I don't use discord, I have every arena comm, and I'm rank 212 and 135 in the guardians/servants. Where are you getting this from? I have dozens of videos proving my combat prowess. I'm not the best and never will be, but I _am_ deadly.
