‘Never judge a book’ and all that. It’s often the scruffy people that have the money (not that I’m saying James is scruffy). I’m glad he’s not a ‘sheep’ and wears what he likes. In our grey world (both figuratively and literally) I applaud anyone who isn’t afraid of adding a bit of colour and brightening up our lives. We all need that at the moment.
I am working for a private bank and at the first day on the job they told us not to judge people of their look. I have had customers that came with boiler suits and dirty hands right from their workshop and had millions on their accounts. And other ones who looked fancy and talked big words but had nothing to cover those up. You can tell if a customer service is good if they are not looking down on you. It has a lot of class to talk down to earth to everyone who comes in as long as he is respecting you.
Good to see you finally starting to get the subscribers and views you deserve, you clearly thoroughly research the cars you review and have a huge passion for cars in general, so it’s nice to see you succeed
I’ve found the same with main dealers. Even for things like tyres. I think the days of ‘we’ve seen you coming’ thankfully are disappearing. Maybe it’s just got so competitive out there and people are less forgiving of poor service. Great to see you bought your Ferrari to use and enjoy, not just sit in a heated garage worried that if you use it it’ll have lost another £10k or something. Thanks for a great year of content. Merry Christmas 🎄
I love how excited and emotional you got at the prospect of taking your Ferrari to the factory in Modena - it shows that all this YouTubing and zooming around in exotic machinery hasn't gone to your head. Never lose that spark of excitement, it resonates with us as your audience who live many of our motoring dream experiences vicariously through your channel. Oh and by the way - I don't have a Ferrari but I've been to Modena, hired a 488 for the day and did the Factory Tour. You are going to have a BLAST! Also, they have great pasta.
A huge congratulations on doing all this work on your 550 its great to see a Ferrari owner enjoying their car all year round and taking an audience through the process of what its like owning a 20 /30 year old car .
As a Ferrari owner great to see your recent videos on the 550, I have bought and sold through Meridian and they are a great company to deal with.... theres something about these cars that gets right under your skin, look forward to the next video....
This video is everything I love about the channel... genuine insights from an entertaining and authentic petrolhead presenter. Congrats on an awesome 2020 James, and keep up the great work!
Congratulations matey! Really honest, Informative video. Clearly you care for your car a lot. What makes this more special for me, is that your clearly a normal bloke with a fab car who is genuinely over the moon with the journey your about to go on with your car! Fair play mate, enjoy every minute! Not many get to even drive a prancing horse never mind own one!! 👍👍👍
Not watched this video yet, but I'm sure it will be fantastic, as all your content is. I've only fairly recently got into your channel, but I wish you all the success in the world and hope 2021 brings great things for you - you deserve it!
Really good video. It’s been a hell of a year and the channel is getting better and better all the time, a lot of unique content. Totally agree that a car is about the way it makes you feel when you drive it, irrespective of what it is. Hopefully our European friends will open the gates long enough to allow you to get to Marranello and back! Have a peaceful and safe holiday.👍🎄
James after following your channel all I can say is I’m super chuffed for you! Well deserved and I’m very looking forward to future content esp with the 550! 👏👏
Jay, I have watched your videos for a while however only just subscribed and I am so pleased to see that you have got this opportunity and that you are enjoying your car. You are a true petrol head and show that cars are there to be used, be be enjoyed and the passion is beyond driving, it is about ownership and pride in your vehicle. Wether that be a Ferrari or a Fiat care given to a car gives it life, it shows that 100,000 well maintained miles is not a death sentence and needs to be replaced. Maintenance is part of the passion! I can't wait to follow your journey with your pride and joy. Congratulations.
A really fascinating video, so refreshing to see something different on RUclips from the usual, buy car, wrap car, loud exhaust on car, sell car and round and round etc etc etc genuinely excited to see the process of this 👍😎
Jay, thank you for enabling us to come along for the ride, fantastic to hear about your plans and can’t wait to see your trip to Modena, the museums there are a treat!
Wow! This is awesome I’m not into Ferrari’s at all but I just enjoy your journey - a normal guy with an abundance of passion and where it can take you!
Well done James, that was a very informative video. It's also great to see that Ferrari and their dealers treat people with respect no matter if you are a multi millionaire with 10 Ferrari's in the garage or someone who has just worked very hard to afford their first prancing horse. Also that will be the trip of a lifetime to Maranello. I was there over three years ago, going to the Pagani and Lamborghini factories and the highlight was renting a 458 Spyder to drive in the hills around Maranello for an hour. I will never be able to afford such cars but that experience will live with me forever. I hope you go on to even bigger and better things in 2021, thanks for making some great content this year.
This is one of your best....love your passion and enthusiasm....I have just bought a brand new Porsche, you are 100% correct about price, practicality etc...But it makes me feel fantastic...as you said : a million dollars !!
Jay, great Ferrari. Terrific job reviewing cars this year. I will be around to support you in 2021 as well. Cheers friend! From San Francisco, California.
A man after my own heart. I admire the way you have bought something great and are now making it better! Like a custodian of art! Merry Christmas to you too!
Well done James..the content of your video's this year has been brilliant..I look forward to each one of 'em..Have a great Christmas..and enjoy your motor..!!👍👍
Nice, looking forward to the road trip video. A few years ago we drove down to Italy. We drove over the Alps past the Belvedere hotel from Goldfinger. went to the Italian GP, the Ayrton Senna Statue at Imola and the Ferrari factory in Modena. Just as we were outside the factory gates under the iconic yellow sign Luca di Montezemolo drives out and waves at us. What a great trip that was! Hope yours is great too. Have fun.
Fantastic news! You are so genuine and passionate, thanks for sharing this journey! Picking up your classiche certification from the factory definitely sounds like one of the coolest experiences.
Love your enthusiasm just thinking about visiting the factory in your own car. I've been fortunate enough to visit twice but the dream would be as yours, in my 575M too. I'm really looking forward to watching you do the apple journey towards Classiche.
Absolutely fantastic Jay. Love the early Christmas present to yourself for this year and the next. Look forward to next video, keep up the great work and have a Merry Christmas
Brilliant Channel Jayemm. My experience with Classiche for my 308GTB and the official dealer for NI is very different. They upped my hourly rate from £55 to £120 in one jump. Modena clearly are a good crew.
Nice intro on this vid - hope you keep your self safe and well too bud. Your vids are a great bit of escapism in this horrendous year. Thanks for that.
Hi Jay and thank you so much for this excellent video loaded with with fabulous news. I share your excitement at the idea of visiting Ferrari in Italy to collect your Classiche bible as when I had my 1988 911 wide-body convertible I was able to visit the Porsche factory too! Good luck to you with all your endeavors, Happy Christmas and have a fabulous 2021 - sounds like that's already in the bag !!!
It's fantastic to see you so happy about all this. It's more than a fist full of hoses & a stack of papers. It's part of a dream & a journey. Well done & congratulations.
excited for you and the videos we are going to see going forward...certainly looks like 2021 is setting up to be a good year for you. thnaks for the man maths about having a 550....my head is calculating already...
Jay, if there's anyone who deserves this in the world it's you. At the beginning of this video you mentioned that you hope your viewers are doing alright and are happy, well thanks to you and the excellent content you constantly release I can say that I am. Cheers mate!
Really enjoyed the video, I've been a subscriber since you were below 40K and do enjoy watching your content and views. Have a good one from a lowly supermarket shopping delivery driver.
Wow, what an announcement, you are doing great work with the channel 👏. It is good to hear Ferrari are not bothered about the cars millage. Looking foward to follow the journey with 550.
Fantastic video. Looking forward to the videos of your journey to Maranello for the Classiche Certification JayEmm. Like you said in the video, more manufacturers should be providing this service. I’d love to be able to do this with my 320i, even though the car probably is worth less than the costs for all the work on your 550!
Nice to see your joy, it cheers one up in this strange world and time. If you pass through South Tyrol (most Northern part of Italy) give me a shout and I’ll be happy sharing a bunch of very nice driving roads here around. Amazing routes and scenery granted Thumbs up for your work!
Thanks for the superb video and infectious ( Is that the right word?) enthousiasme!! Most likely will never own a Ferrari, but your explanation and story has even further enhance the love for this brand, for me and my 7 year old son 😊! Keep up your great work and stay safe and healthy!!
Wow that is epic for you James. When I had my 550 circumstances dictated I didn't get to do with it what I wanted. Now I have a house which costs more to run than a 550 and 3 year old son the days of me having another Ferrari are a long way off. Doesn't stop me looking at 612s and FFs in the classifieds though!
I think the RUclips generation has made the youth of today forget that really, it's still a very special thing to own a Ferrari. The heritage of the brand is something that many RUclips channels just don't even mention. To them it's just another fast car. Another way of earning views. I'm extremely excited to follow you with this process, and see exactly how Ferrari want the world to see their cars. And maybe a few more youngsters will get drawn in too, and choose to jump down that rabbit hole that is Ferrari heritage and pure specialness. Can't wait 👍🏼.
Fantastic video, thank you so much for the explanation and going into detail on what each program means. Love your 550 and it'll be exciting to see your journey to achieving Classiche. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you 👍🏻
Good to hear about schemes such as this, James, it will be an interesting journey for your 550, and I look forward to hearing about it! Merry Christmas, best wishes for 2021 :)
I’m thinking about having Classiche on my 69,500 miles, 1988 Mondial 3.2 Coupe because I doubt many other Mondial’s would have it done! With our high mileage Ferrari’s we have something else that very few UK owners achieve and that is a car that is finally “run-in” . This occurred last year when at 68,000 miles the engine suddenly sounded much smoother & it really felt faster & quite delightful.
Great job Jay. Looking forward to the ride and, being an owner as well, I would agree with the comment about the fanaticism that the dealers display for their cars. I do think Porsche are the same but beyond that I’d struggle. Looking forward to the other Vids 👍😀
James, Fascinating video and it really explodes the myth that all the running costs for an old Ferrari, that is out of warranty must be exorbitant. I love the idea of collecting the certificate from the factory and can’t wait for this video to follow. I just wish that Mercedes AMG had a similar scheme for my 15 year old AMG. 🙁
I don't think there is any other manufacturer that does emotion as well as Ferrari do. Can't imagine how special it must all feel. All the best and hope you get that red certificate and book soon! P.S: Love your vids James! Thanks for the wonderful year of content!
Fantastic news Jay and well deserved. Looking forward to seeing the journey to the home of Ferrari (obvs you’re still on the naughty list for not ‘loving’ the M2C but given you own a V12 Ferrari - let’s call it quits 😂😂). Cheers, Kevin.
1st flannelette shirt to ever feature in a Ferrari dealership. Well done sir.
They probably made him add the shirt to cover up the usual ugly one he seems to be wearing underneath it.
@@velvetjones1856 Still 'nattier' than Jermy Clarkson...hehehe...
I hope you hit Primark before your visit to Italy and Modena!
‘Never judge a book’ and all that. It’s often the scruffy people that have the money (not that I’m saying James is scruffy). I’m glad he’s not a ‘sheep’ and wears what he likes. Thanks for being one of those people who actually enjoys the car for what it is meant for and not as a status symbol or a thing to be collected.
Well done JayEmm, a great year of content I salute all your hard work mate.
Thankyou Alex
Congratulations on this achievement , look forward to seeing the process. Cheers and merry christmas :)
Merry Christmas
You just turned car maintenance into art curation. I couldn't be happier for you. Also bless you for keeping a 550 on the road.
Thanks Jan!
So happy for you! You really are truly excited and a very proud and humble man. I mean this in the most positive way. Thanks for bringing us along!
Thanks for coming along for the ride

A huge congratulations on doing all this work on your 550 its great to see a Ferrari owner enjoying their car all year round and taking an audience through the process of what its like owning a 20 /30 year old car .
Fantastic stuff James, that 550 is going to be in fine fettle by the time this is all done!! Great program from Ferrari too!
Just want to say thank you for all your hard work in the past years. Brought tons of joy and information!! Will keep supporting this channel!
Much appreciated!
As a Ferrari owner great to see your recent videos on the 550, I have bought and sold through Meridian and they are a great company to deal with.... theres something about these cars that gets right under your skin, look forward to the next video....
They are great people, well worth the miles to visit them
Damn it, Jay deserves so many more views and subs. It's always top quality content.

Your videos on your 550 put Ferrari on my mind to consider for my next buy. Keep going.
Certainly will :)
Your passion for cars, not only the Ferrari , is heartwarming. I look forward to the journey to Modena to collect your documents.

She looks so good in their lights inside the red has so much depth you normally don’t see on camera but that clip pretty much showed it
Very interesting and totally unique content! Nice to watch something so original in such a diluted sector. Thanks for sharing Jay
Thanks Tom, glad you enjoyed the video

Jay, great Ferrari. Terrific job reviewing cars this year. I will be around to support you in 2021 as well. Cheers friend! From San Francisco, California.
Brilliant video James and great news about the certification. I’ll be watching the process with great interest. Have a great Christmas.
Looking forward to the rest of the week! Thanks for the info on the premium program, this is my first hearing of it.
Ferrari are very good at keeping these things a secret, that's why I am making the videos
👍👍 Two thumbs up! Can’t wait to see the journey. Love how the car makes you feel. Keep going!!

Seeing that car on the road is always a highlight and I love seeing your passion really shine through xxx
Keep the great content coming James, you’ve made one the best car channels on RUclips IMHO.
Wow, what an announcement, you are doing great work with the channel 👏. It is good to hear Ferrari are not bothered about the cars millage. Looking foward to follow the journey with 550.
Cheers for sharing this - the 550 is an underrated gem which I believe has bottomed

That Maranello never looks old ! It’s gorgeous!
Nice to see your joy, it cheers one up in this strange world and time.
If you pass through South Tyrol (most Northern part of Italy) give me a shout and I’ll be happy sharing a bunch of very nice driving roads here around.
Amazing routes and scenery granted
Thumbs up for your work!

Yeah to me a Ferrari is NOT a normal thing for anyone to own. It is special. I feel a great responsibility!
Fantastic video, thank you so much for the explanation and going into detail on what each program means. Love your 550 and it'll be exciting to see your journey to achieving Classiche. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you 👍🏻
Thankyou Wally!
JayEmm on Cars: You are very welcome, keep up the awesome work with your channel 👍🏻
Great stuff this year sir! The most relevant content on RUclips !
Good to hear about schemes such as this, James, it will be an interesting journey for your 550, and I look forward to hearing about it! Merry Christmas, best wishes for 2021 :)
Congrats on the future certification. That will be amazing. Collecting the certification at Ferrari...mind blown!!
Congratulations James. I’m genuinely happy for you.
Fascinating . Cannot wait for the videos to come.
The unprotected side wing at 9:40 to surprise me though......
A great present for you! Keep up the good work!
The road trip to the factory sounds like it’s gonna be fun.
Sounds like a logistical nightmare atm
So long as you don't wrap it around a tree on the way. Now that would be "classic".
Wow! Can't wait for the next one! How exciting, to be an enthusiast and getting to share this process with your enthusiast friends on RUclips 😁❤️
And a very happy Christmas and New Year to you and yours, great vids by the way.
Well done James. Great content here. Looking forward to seeing the journey ahead.
Great car. Awesome video. Keep up the good work.
A true Italian Gentleman’s Express. Its ageing beautifully too!.....looking forward to watching your pilgrimage.
That’s is superbly explained another great vid thxs a bunch
Great job Jay. Looking forward to the ride and, being an owner as well, I would agree with the comment about the fanaticism that the dealers display for their cars. I do think Porsche are the same but beyond that I’d struggle. Looking forward to the other Vids 👍😀
James,
Fascinating video and it really explodes the myth that all the running costs for an old Ferrari, that is out of warranty must be exorbitant.
I love the idea of collecting the certificate from the factory and can’t wait for this video to follow.
I just wish that Mercedes AMG had a similar scheme for my 15 year old AMG. 🙁
Great news, I can understand your excitement! I look forward to seeing how it all works. Keep up the good work.
You lucky lad! Really looking forward to this journey!
Congrats Jay, very well earned! A good start to what will hopefully be a good year!
I don't think there is any other manufacturer that does emotion as well as Ferrari do.
Can't imagine how special it must all feel. All the best and hope you get that red certificate and book soon!
P.S: Love your vids James! Thanks for the wonderful year of content!
Love your humbleness and excitement with your 550, it makes great content and keeps me dreaming 😊🍻
Congrats and awesome content and authentic as always.Looking forward to seeing the process and most of the all the Modena trip
Great info and very cool what’s going on in the future with you and your car. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant informative video James - looking forward to seeing the whole process. Merry Christmas 🎄
I look forward to more of your Ferrari inspired enthusiasm in 2021.
I'm glad to see that kiddish happy face when talking about going to Modena for the first time. Well deserved, buddy!
Well done! The 550 is stunning, looking forward to the trip to Modena
Fantastic, James. Can’t wait to see you drive the 550 to Italy!
