My favourite mega man boss fight from the classic series has to be in 7, I think they nailed the boss design in that game and managed to give the bosses some extra polish as well (like freeze man taunting you if you're standing still at the start of the fight and spring man being powered up by the thunder bolt). My favourite overall has to be turbo man because of his creative audio use, but also because he just looks really cool 😂 well, great video
Finally, another outlier who recognizes the beauty of Yellow Devil the original. I don't really have a list of favorite bosses but it would be something like this I think. These are not in any order. Freeze Man: Very kinetic and reaction based boss fight. He is super fast and you have to take advantage of his gimmick. Also, during the boss rush, if you use his weapon, he makes a cool pose and heal himself. Yellow Devil: I adore the devil boss fights with the exception of the one in 3 due to its weird hitbox. My favorite one is MK1 from MM1 and 11. Wily Dino (both phases): You play tennis with a dinosaur, what's there not to like? Wily 10: It is a pirate ship. Pharaoh Man (without weakness): Quick Man and shadow man done right. Really fast but there is a pattern to his attacks. Wily Archive: What a creative boss fight. Honestly, this should be how boss rushes should be handheld from now on. A machine that uses all 8 robot master weapons. It serves the role of the boss rush AND is something new. Fish Jet thing from 9: A 3 phase long castle boss. It feels grand and powerful. I love this thing. Grenade Man: A really fast and exciting boss fight. I also legitimately like his English voice. King Tank 2 (the jet): This is a VERY unpopular opinion for understandable reasons but I love this guy. At as Bass. As Mega Man, there are unavoidable scenarios where death occurs but as Bass, you can always beat it. It keeps me on my toes and has a fantastic theme song. Sheep Man (hard mode preferably): A lovable goofy design combined with lots of different attacks. What's there not to like? Bass (MM8): What a fight. Easily the best part of 8 honestly. He has so many attacks and you have to make sure you can keep up. Why is he not the main boss?! :D Proto Man (MM7): Same reasons as Bass from 8.
Yeah, I love the original Yellow Devil fight. Oh yeah, I love the Wily Dino from mm9. Bouncing the egg back was really hard, but really fun, and yeah, the Pirate Boat Wily was also rad.
Sweet list! Knowing you being a Slime Devil fan I knew you were going to mention Twin Devil high in the list. It really is my favorite version of the Devils.😆 A lot of my favorites come from the games I play most but for sure that Sliding Room and Gravity Man are very creative. However I'm surprised there's no 8 here because I think the bosses have some of the most fun attack patterns (especially when you're doing a buster-only run). I like a lot of bosses but here's some random picks for me: Splash Woman (9) - She's just cute :P Gemini Man (3) - Splits into two and shoots a laser that slows down the NES! Clown Man (8) - SWING!! Burner Man (&Forte) - I hate this guy. Push him into the spikes 🤣 Guts Tank (2) - It's Guts Man... But A TANK!
Not off to a good start. #10-Man, this fight is really cool, but I hate it. #9-Eh #8-:/ #7-Agreed on this one. #6-Yeah that's one of the coolest parts of mm11 #5-Here we go, I'd put this fight higher tbqh, for all the reasons you stated. #4-Fair point, but I think the Dark fight is a cooler set up in d4. #3-Agreed #2-Iconic but is it really that good? Quick Man is better. #1-Man, I dunno, I think it's just rehash of the yellow devil. I'd say that Mecha-Shark is a cooler one, a 3 phase boss? Count me in. Good list though, the Alien fight in mm2 if you don't know the fact it's a projection, is one of the coolest things from any game, maybe cooler than the Dragon imo. Also Big Pets is a very neat idea, having to shoot your platforms out so you can beat them.
Oh yeah, the Alien is a really cool fight. I think I'm a sucker for the Yellow Devil fights. Something about the memorization and the flying parts moving across the screen really work for me.
While the Yellow Devil fight is satifiing to beat without the Glitch, its one of those like most of MM1 feels too punishing for mistakes. If E-tanks existed in MM1 that would alieve a lot of the pain from the fight. But yeah Gravity is one of the most amazing fights and technical achievements.
@@MartyrLoserKing thanks for asking. Yes I memorised from DRN.000 to DWN.088 including DRN.00A and DRN.00B. about the reason, I was very fan of Mega Man from 2017 to 2022 and I love making stats about my favourite things. Apparently, these serial numbers are the primary numbers in mega man games so I gave it a try. It was fun and not hard that.
Who else feels like 4 is still underrated AF?
Easily my most underrated selection

Shoot! I should've mentioned Freeze Man in the honorable mention! I love the taunt. There are just so many great bosses in the series.
Love the video, your insights and opinions are interesting and resonate with me
Thank! I really appreciate that!

MM10 Wily Archive is one of my favourites because it made me want to play the older games even more. Also I think it's just a cool idea
Yeah, it's so epic!
Mecha Dragon MM2 is number 1.
It's definitely a classic.
Its unplayabl3 on an emulator due to the input lag @@MeguhFan

I used weaknesses against the bosses in 8, so maybe I missed out. I love the Guts Man Tank from mm2! I forgot to give it an honorable mention.

Pretty cool😃😃
Thanks! Who's your favorite Mega Man (classic series) boss fight?
@@MeguhFan I would count the yellow devil cos it's challenging even like the 1 st Mega Man Game on NES😃
You do realize the bosses besides the Robot Masters and Yellow Devil have actual names, right? It's not just "sliding room", it's "Square Machine".
Yeah, maybe when I do my x series boss video I'll look up the bosses names.
Review Megaman and Bass,
That's
Underrated
Wasn’t the dead robot dinosaur also in mega man 7 I don’t remember if it was or not

Nice thumbnail
Interesting list. I can only agree with DWN.032 here.
Do you have all the DWN’s memorized? If so, why?

Twin devil as #1 is based
Thank you.
Dude that thumbnail looks terrible but great content
