Another great video. I think something else you could cover is individual roles, like support, bulky attacker, fast attacker, support/attacker hybrid, etc.
@@x_bell1142 Thanks, great suggestion. So great I have actually already covered it! I split roles into three videos in offense, defense and support! Feel free to check them out if you're interested.
Thanks for the video! I’ve been watching all of these. I was actually super curious as to whether “singles” cores were a concept that carried into doubles too prior to watching this video. It feels from the outside like doubles often focuses around a strategy (Weather/Trick Room/Perish Song) rather than aiming for a balanced set of defensive/offensive types. Where having a balanced set of types is more of a bonus. Is that correct? When team building my instinct is still to aim for a balanced team core, but I’m not sure if I should be prioritizing a more cohesive gameplan, like a Rain Water team with some electric types with Thunder or whether having a balanced set of types is more important.
@@zyst6 I find in doubles the strategic core is more impactful than typing cores. As you said TR or Weather have many overlapping types. Since there's less switching and only 2 other pokemon on the team you can switch to at any given time even if you have the right pokemon on the team to switch into a resist, you may not have brought it in your 4 or or may already be on the field next to the pokemon that's threatened. Typing is still important obviously but the strategy is more impactful overall.
All I needed to hit Masterball tier was a grass Pokémon in my core, thank you!!
@@sagedelta7 Glad ya made it!

@@TheDelybird You totally have, I must have missed that! Will go check those out right now!
Whimsicott reminded me of a team idea I can work with👀 thank you!
I’m guessing your choices for the fire water grass core were made before the most recent leaks.
God you're cringe
pokemon mystery dungeon iron bundle icon? 😮
I don’t even know if I have a core for my team 😅, but anyway, nice vid and keep going

@@TheDelybirdgotcha thank you very much I’ll keep that in mind! I’ll go out of my way to try to build a more cohesive team and give that a shot
