It's actually the other way around. As chateau slaves, we were liabilities. The masters paid for the full costs of living and maintenance for their property. As "freed", we are assets. We only generate profits and revenue for the masters.

No doubt. I have three that encourage me that are on my MP3 player that I sometimes listen to at night - two from John Gray and one from TD Jakes about entrepreneurship.
I had the chance to speak with Byron Allen, briefly, on a phone call shortly before I graduated college. My mom worked for American Express in Los Aneles and had done some business with him, so she set it all up. He was fantastic. Definitely helped me get my mind right at a young age and set myself up properly. Great guy.
He's also totally correct - from a business perspective, $300m is not a lot of money when a single film can cost anywhere between $100-150m to stand up. Money is out there, it's just not flowing into the hands of everyone, everywhere.

But, leave it to black people to find that one aspect of a persons being that doesn't suit their ideal and that somehow in their minds either diminishes or invalidates everything that person stands for. Black people can sometimes be black people's biggest problem.

Byron's right on so many things. Education is not just going to school and graduating, however this is exactly how we've been pushed through the system. Economics is crucial because malnourished students can't concentrate to be successful.

ThankYOU Breakfast Club for spending that time with Byron Allen. I am a senior citizen, watched the total show. He is a wonderful teacher. He brought to our attention important situations that will help us(black people)in protecting our Civil Rights and being a part of economic growth. Also, not to let fear control your life. I seen him on many shows, But, on your show gave us insight to the person that he truly is. Hats off to him, wish him continued success and safety.
That's what I enjoy and love about The Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club's interviews are indepth and insightful in a Conversational setting. These interviews allow me to experience the guest's intellect.

Yeah, unlike Umar, he sounds like an intelligent leader. Didn't have to yell and scream to get his point across, and didn't come off sounding like a scammer. I'd listen to this man anyday instead of a hotep, begging scammer like Umar (or should I say Jermaine..........)
