ANACS has always offered cheap and quicker delivery than the other services but for some reason they don't command the same market value for their coins. Not sure why but hopefully it will change in the future.
@@cornellirons5348 exactly.. The last one I bought from Anac's was in the blue holder a 1899 micro o Vam-5 Top 100 EF-45 definitely beautiful rare coin and Vam... half my graded is Anac's...
I believe the reason anacs doesn't have the same market value is mostly due to the ugliness of the holder design. Collectors want their collection to be housed in something attractive, hence the demand for OGH, rattler, fatties, etc. Also, anacs does not have online submission form, and their 'truview' photos are a complete joke compared to pcgs. If anacs could fix these issues, I believe they could rival PCGS and NCG
I'm backing ANACS. The oldest and most well established of the big 3. ANACS will assign a grade regardless of cleaned/details, the other 2 won't. ANACS fees are the most economical. Turn around time is super quick. I sent coins into PCGS and waited 14 weeks before I got my grades and another 18 until I got the coins back into my physical possession - and the grades were terrible PR68DCAM, I was pissed. I cracked them out submitted to NGC who graded them PF70 UCAM. A terrible a costly experience. Buy the coin NOT the holder.
ANACS is the oldest grading service but I prefer NGC grading over ANACS and PCGS but need better holder, but to each their own. Have notice more consistency with crossover from ANACS to PCGS.
Drew I am an NGC guy for anything pre 64. however for moderns you cant beat ANACS for service and the as we have seen they are usually spot on with the grade.
Blackstone (Ticker: BX) just bought out NGC- It's an excellent stock - Price raises make sense given record submissions but I agree with you, PCGS holder sell faster. You're in it for the turn, not to own it.
I do think Pcgs is the Cadilac of grading services. I am a fan of Anacs, cheap fee's and the few that I own I'm very happy with the coin for the grades. Both Pcgs & Ngc kinda have the market cornered. What do you do.
I agree half my graded coins are Anac's the last one I got was in blue holder a 1899 micro o Vam-5 Top 100 EF-45 Morgan and they graded it superb and exact...
Great video!! I might suggest that if you are looking to get True View of your coins a safer way would be to ask PCGS to reholder. The coin maintains the grade and you get the True View . I believe the cost is $18. That beautiful MS63 Morgan honestly was graded right as a 63 and had little chance to come back as 64. When it comes back as 62 that is a big hit to the resale value. Thanks for sharing the disappointing results....some guys only show the homeruns. Keep up the good work.
Hi, Drew. Your 82 Morgan looks nice with that toning. It might have gotten a slight bump in the grade because of the reverse eye appeal. However, that mark across the face would keep it from being gem 65 in my book. The 38D toned Buffalo is sweet. The 2000 ASE is a beauty. The 37S toned Buffalo is also sweet, especially for the grade. I like Ike, but not that Ike. I like the silver Ikes. The monster-toned 81S Morgan is nice, even as a 62. Better luck next time. Thanks. *TYU*
Drew they moved the goalposts. I believe you were right on the grades you expected. This seems to be happening with regularity on PCGS submissions. Understaffed and replacement staff due to covid carnage...they are grading down in fear of over grading. I believe when the coin makes it to the experienced grader(s) they see it isn't over-graded and pass it through even though under-graded. I think it may be a great time to buy these coins...buy the coin. And when they fix the listing ship it would be a good time to resubmit.
It pays for the grading services to run just like they are now. Coin enthusiasts are so worried about whats printed on the label that they keep cracking out coins and resubmitting them. Total win for the grading services. I need some coins graded because I need to verify they are genuine. After that we should focus on the coin itself and not what the opinion of a grading service when it comes to a coin being given certain number. Enjoy your coins, they are historical. I'll usually go with ANACS when needed, due to value and turnaround time. In the end, I guess to each their own.
PCGS for coins I plan to sell, they add the most value to the coins. NGC for my personal collection (not planning on selling), they have the most versatile labels. PMG for paper currency.
I always enjoy videos like this. A real education. I hate long return times on coin’s especially if you are trying to flip it for profit. Coin grading is expensive and a lot of my coins don’t warrant the grading fees because of the low value of the coin. It would be nice if coin grading companies can offer lower grading fees for lower value coins to make it worthwhile for the little guy to get his coins graded.
Hello there! I just came across your video. I have both PCGS & NGC coins. However, I've only SENT coins to NGC. I like the holders better and the customer service. You can always talk to someone at NGC. PCGS has you email them. All my Registry Sets are with PCGS. I do like PCGS's Registry over NGC's. I guess it's just personal choice. (By the way, I would use ANACS, but I hate the yellow slabs. I liked the older slabs better, but their new slabs are ugly. I only buy ANACS coins for their authentication. i like pcgs, i love that they have the set registry so it's easier to keep track of you collections. But I've found getting proof 70 is like pulling teeth, it's alomost impossible, i send them in to get graded still in the mint holders so their is no chance to damage them or get finger prints on them i'm lucky to get 1 proof 70 out of 20. It really makes it to even send them in between the cost and the grades i've started to get them through the shop feature in the set registry, at least that that way i can get only the ones i need that are proof 70.
Does the coin make the grade or does the grade make the coin, thanks for the information, I learn a lot off your soul, I'm a big fan of Morgan dollars and I love toners.

When I started buying graded coins, I like the PCGS holders the best. So, when I started to get coins graded, I went with PCGS. I do have coins graded by other companies, but prefer PCGS.
Why can't ANY of the grading companies provide a written synopsis of a coin? Why can't they make statements like you do, such as "we give this a 63 because: (written on a paper say like a COA??) Why don't they provide us with a name of the "umpire"..?? or, say, give us a list of comparison coins that they have graded in the past?? Why can't they grade a coin like they might grade gymnastics: Judge 1 gives it a 65, Judge 2 gives it a 63, etc.? The deal is, they can't and they won't... Why? because they are in business, and their goal is to make money by selling their product... getting the most money that they can for the cheapest way to send the product back to you... and with only one other real competitor, they can pretty much do what they want-- as long as WE keep sending THEM coins...
Many true statements in this comment, and many things to think about. Thank you Robert for the comment, hopefully there is a shift in that part of the hobby soon.
I'm sorry you had a disappointing situation. I've been recently reminded: some days you win, some days you learn. With a change in management at NGC due to acquisition, I'm not surprised price structures increased. I'd be curious at what the new corporate statement of goals will be. I hope you find out and share. At my company, we're quoting no less than 16 weeks for shipment, qualified by whether supplies and expertise are available then. We are nowhere near business normal. We may not see it for months, many, many months. Our vendors often have zero product and no idea when they can get more. Of course, there is also this worldwide virus that is devastating the ability to get any workers. No doubt, PCGS has had illnesses. I may be one of the few that appreciate very, very long lead times at PCGS. Or at the grocery. Or at the repair shop. And so on. This was a very informative video. Thank you for your diligence and increasingly sophisticated workmanship and knowledge.
Thanks Richard for your heartwarming comment. I am not sure if we will ever return to a reliable source of supplies or labor. Which has been a problem in some European countries before the virus impacted things.
I sent an order into PCGS early April, and saw the 60 turnaround time as well. I received my coins in 5 weeks. PCGS, in my opinion, is FAR and AWAY the better grading company for the reasons that you mentioned and they are much more consistent.
On your Morgan that went from 63 to 62, you could have left it in the holder and it 100% would not have downgraded. The money goes in one direction at PCGS.
Yah ouch brother. Haven’t seen the rim erosion details before. That 81s looks 63 with a full point bump for eye appeal leaving it a 64 I hope I don’t get that graded with my coins haha
As a Silver Coin Collector, not Selling my Coins, I will always use ANACS or ICG on my Silver Coins. I buy graded PCGS and NGC coins. Knowing how high these rip-off artists are charging, Coin Shops are making a very slim margins. I mean, how on earth does a Coin Shop make a profit on a under graded Winged Liberty Dime, PCGS or NGC, when I have bought them for $12?
I don't agree that PCGS is more strict than their grading people do breakout videos all the time from Annex icg NGC for the sole purpose of PCGS giving them a grade higher and a lot of times it happens or either they match the grade of the other service so I don't understand how they're any better
Those idiot grading companies take pictures digitally for years and years now of your coin and take note of markers so they know when they get the same coin again they are doing it to charge your again ! Re sub is a waste it’s very rare to get an upgrade
ANACS is great! But this market is dominated by big dealers. And they don’t like ANACS because they write too much on their slab description of faults. So many just don’t buy ANACS because of resale. CAC is making PCGS more competitive. They will be at the Conroe Money Show. We haven’t had them the last few years because they just wouldn’t come. NCG still won’t come.
I learned a long time ago PCGS...they hold their value. Someone once said.. .don't buy off TV and only buy exceptional eye appeal coins. I won't pay a premium on a toned, corroded coin!
Lesson learned: When you get a nice-looking coin in an NGC holder, is it really worth crossing to PCGS at the risk of it being details graded? It is costly to get regraded too and this is real gambling here. The chances of getting an equal or better grade are reduced. Play it smart and not do this again! The upside potential is not enough to make it worth the risk. This is the truth!
I don’t think any of them do that great of job anymore. They grade so many coins they go through them far too fast. I loved ANAC when they used the small holders. I have over 30 Bust half’s I send to them all that long ago. I wouldn’t think of sending them to PCGE or NGC. I think ANAC does a decent job now. I’ve bought a few Morgan’s for the VAMs in new ANAC and I think their grading was spot on. I enjoy your videos very much.
Half my graded are Anac's I have one in old soap box holder purchased few week's go and a 1899 micro o Vam-5 Top 100 EF-45 that purchased few day's go in blue holder and I half say there grade on it was spot on..
Here is a perfect opportunity served up on a golden platter for Anacs 👁🙌 Anacs is not bad at grading itself but god damn dump those crappy holders and do another 10 for $100 deal for the first time in almost a year
If you crack out a '65' coin; resubmit as raw; and it comes back as '64' -- that's on you pal....next time go for a reconsideration and not crack it out !
The paid-for PCGS photos of toned coins have wildly exaggerated color intensity; great for sellers terrible for buyers. And I feel at least in the past PCGS was much more lenient with artificial toning. Again great for sellers terrible for buyers. On the other hand I've seen more scruffy/visually unappealing white coins from NGC that get MS64 or higher.
When is the collector community going to realize that the grading services are overpaid haughty critics carrying on like ingrates and really "getting a way with it" at their expense. Don't bother me. Details, details, you've been cleaned!
All the coin grading companies should lower their prices for grading instead of raising them cause their coin graders are not half as good as they were 15 to 20 years ago and they only spend a few seconds looking at and grading the coin which is not enough time to grade the coin properly . The reason i say this is because the grading is no were near consistent enough . You can crack a graded coin out and repeat this 3 times and i guarantee you will get at least 2 different grades on the same coin if not 3 different grades . I know this for a fact cause i have tried it to see how inconsistent they are . If you doubt this try it and you will see for yourself what i am telling you is 100% true .
@@AcoushaCollectibles Thank you . I know you and your business partner already know the information i put in my comment . The two of you remind me a lot of me when i was a young man like you guys . You both have the passion and enthusiasm for coin collecting and selling to be very successful .
I've been collecting coins since 1982, and STILL think 'slabbing' is THE biggest load of CRAP!! It's a complete CON - you lot need to get a DECENT British coin book, and learn how to PROPERLY grade a coin!
I don't understand, you just spent some time telling us how great pcgs is compared to ngc and anacs, but then complained about undergrading. If they are that great as a grading company, how does that happen? Either they are right and you're wrong or they are doing a great disservice to you instead of providing excellent service.
Anacs is alsome, they in my opinion are conservative, witch i think you should be, so what ever grade u get from them is dead on or one better. All these other grading companies just dont seem ro care, ivr done crossovers anf crossovers, even ran damr coin back to same graders just to see, if u want to really know whos doing there job, and u just gotta know ,then crack them out and send the off, like i sent onr to anacs, got a 65, sent same coin ti pcgs, got 66, cracked open sent back to pcgs git a 65,lol, crackrd open again and resent back to anacs, got a 65, anacs graded it samr twice, pcgs had two diffent grades, same damn coin. I just had to know..
Sorry but having to send coins in 2 or more times and have 60 business days to get them graded is not a good business model. I have been watching unboxing on youtube and in real life. I saw that PCGs is fine or generous on lower value coins, but can be all over the place on better date material. A friend got a package back and another dealer offered to buy every one of the coins. Things like a 3 leg buffalo in 64. The ones he sold, every one worked first time at NGC, no it wasn't AT, coin was white. While PC coins can bring more money is it worth the time and grading fees
Unfortunately , when you are paying good money to get coins graded it is no better than what we expect from you as a dealer excellence. They are failing us miserably
The NGC company is absolute garbage. Very weak experts in coin grading . They constantly make mistakes. You have to send them coins again for re-grading . As a result, you lose 4 months to get the coins correctly graded . But, at the moment, only one company PCGS in the World is more popular for grading coins. That is why people also grade coins in NGC.
Hello, I have old Iraqi coins that I want to sell. The coins are the coins of Faisal I, King of Iraq, and Ghazi I, King of Iraq. I have a lot of silver coins, and I have 2 foreign coins, and I have a lot of coins, 360 coins. I want to sell them all.
Sorry about the downgrades. I do have to say though, the color doesn’t improve the grade. The grade is the grade. Color just adds eye appeal (for some people), but doesn’t improve the grade any. The grade is only for lack of wear, hits, abrasions, etc, as well as lustrous finish. I don’t actually like the colorful ones, and would rather have original blast white examples.
If you look at Pcgs graded war nickels in the highest grade it seems that color is adding to the grade. The amount of hit’s on the coin should no way grade that high.
That’s not true at all. Great Color and eye appeal can bump a coin up one full grade and negative and ugly dark toning can drop a coin one full grade. Watch Pcgs’s grading video on toned coins
Coing grading is another fukin coin collection racket! Save your money... educate yourselves in all aspects of collecting, take chances selling, buying, and cut out the middle man. I have about 200 coins that I would love to authenticate. But there is no way in hell that I would pay and let another abusive company dictate the value of my property. It's always about free markets, demand, and supply.
ANACS has always offered cheap and quicker delivery than the other services but for some reason they don't command the same market value for their coins. Not sure why but hopefully it will change in the future.
Those ugly ass holders. People just don’t want their coins in them

One can lay slabs on a metal cookie sheet, crumple paper to elevate one side of the slab, give it time and you'll have a slabbed coin all toned out.
Wait so if I just elevate one side with paper on a cookie tray they'll tone? I dont understand how that works.

The metal reacting with the materials in the paper- it will take a few weeks. Those slabs are not vaccume...
I’ve used ANACs twice now. Happy overall and I’d rather use them than be robbed by NGC and PCGS. It’s just too much to pay.
Yah ouch brother. Haven’t seen the rim erosion details before. That 81s looks 63 with a full point bump for eye appeal leaving it a 64
I hope I don’t get that graded with my coins haha
I am optimistic on your coin submissions, you had some nice coins in there.
I can hope haha 😂
cracking out is a gamble I rarely take.
To each there own I guess.
Crack is whack! 😆
Anacs soap boxes are king. 1st gen PCGS gets second best holder
That is the danger of cracking and re-submit. Poof! goes the earnings and potential gain.
Edge corrosion? That's a new one for me
First time I have ever seen it.
Thank you Alfred for your comment and some of your collecting journey.
Half my graded are Anac's I have one in old soap box holder purchased few week's go and a 1899 micro o Vam-5 Top 100 EF-45 that purchased few day's go in blue holder and I half say there grade on it was spot on..
1881-S Morgan is the best and the grade does not matter since the toning is BOOM Eye appeal.
We will get it next time.
Here is a perfect opportunity served up on a golden platter for Anacs 👁🙌 Anacs is not bad at grading itself but god damn dump those crappy holders and do another 10 for $100 deal for the first time in almost a year
Yeah that is an issue with Anacs which is simply cosmetic but the holders need a slight revamp.
I like PCGS and NGC but I get instant cash without hesitation with PCGS.
Very good
ANACS needs an online registry and CACA accepance.
Sometimes I think pcgs be picking favorites at times.
If NGC customers switch to PCGS, that means PCGS will now take something like 6 months to turnaround.
Maybe, but PCGS commands a premium with every coin dealer I’ve ever dealt with. If you want to sell, it’s not a close call which to use.
I am new and didn't learn on anything. Seemed like a negative session
Very Nice coins.
I like Ngc
You are the one on eBay?
If you crack out a '65' coin; resubmit as raw; and it comes back as '64' -- that's on you pal....next time go for a reconsideration and not crack it out !
The paid-for PCGS photos of toned coins have wildly exaggerated color intensity; great for sellers terrible for buyers. And I feel at least in the past PCGS was much more lenient with artificial toning. Again great for sellers terrible for buyers. On the other hand I've seen more scruffy/visually unappealing white coins from NGC that get MS64 or higher.
I was an NGC fan....until they jacked up the costs.
the costs and wait times.....I'm done sending in
When is the collector community going to realize that the grading services are overpaid haughty critics carrying on like ingrates and really "getting a way with it" at their expense. Don't bother me. Details, details, you've been cleaned!
I only like Ana's or pcgs don't need first day or signatures on no good colns
I think that I will just buy them already graded...
A lot of truth in this statement.
@@AcoushaCollectibles Thank you . I know you and your business partner already know the information i put in my comment . The two of you remind me a lot of me when i was a young man like you guys . You both have the passion and enthusiasm for coin collecting and selling to be very successful .
👍
All graded coins are subjectively graded and relative
I've been collecting coins since 1982, and STILL think 'slabbing' is THE biggest load of CRAP!! It's a complete CON - you lot need to get a DECENT British coin book, and learn how to PROPERLY grade a coin!
I don't understand, you just spent some time telling us how great pcgs is compared to ngc and anacs, but then complained about undergrading. If they are that great as a grading company, how does that happen? Either they are right and you're wrong or they are doing a great disservice to you instead of providing excellent service.
Nice to see someone has the same luck as me......none
There will always be opportunities where failures happen. I think Anacs is ceasing market cap.
Hi
I am from India 🇮🇳
I want to old coin sell
Would you like to buyer the old
I don't see your Franklin being 66 at all.
Sad trombone. Whah whah whah!
It’s time for AI coin grading.

Kids don't try this at home.
Anacs is Junk don’t buy or send your coins to them…unless your a clown!
