I believe they're doing a V8 hybrid version of the gtc, so for countries like China where the tax on a big engine near doubles the price of the car they can still compete.
The Porsche group and Porsche engineer are now tuning all of their Luxury brands..Bentley and soon they will help Lamborghini directly for the first time..imagine what the new Flagship Lambo would be like under Porsche technology..
Another SUPERB video James :-) Thank you so much for the great content, And the insight into the New Bentley GT :-) Keep up the Great work, The camera quality is superb :-) All the best to you and the family, Mark.
I am fed up with people who always came to Bentley videos and talks about “ It will break in few years , it will cost half when it is 4 years old ... “ look if I can afford a BRAND NEW BENTLEY than I don’t really care about these kind of things . In my country this baby costs 600 K € Thanks to our taxes that based on engine size ...
This is like a real English gentleman in a pub ,when someone else kicks off ,he just stands there watches and listens ,then steps forward and twats you one full force to the face ,then says have a jolly good day young fellow .Doffss his bowler hat and walks away
Hi James. I completely agree on the wind-blocker for the GTC. Installing it manually and storing it in the boot IS old school, and not in keeping with the ethos of the rest of the car - or its price. The new 992 cab shows the way forward: When the wind-blocker is in its down position, the top hoop is unnoticeable as it forms the cabin surround at either side of, and behind, the rear seats, similar to the deployable roll bar on a 1989-2001 R129 Mercedes SL. When the blocker is raised (electrically, naturally, manual being for the plebs) the top hoop rises through 90 degrees and pulls with it, from a roller positioned behind the rear seat, the fabric netting that blocks the wind. What makes this arrangement work is another bar that simultaneously extends horizontally toward the driver from the top of the rear seats, forming the L shape the netting needs to be in to do its work, and covering off the rear seats with the netting as it does so. When the blocker is up, it looks and works like any other blocker, but when it's down, it's invisible. And it all works with an electric button. Now if only Porsche could figure out a way to reintegrate the brilliant 991 cupholders into the 992; the one - only one? WTF? - between the seats now is fugly.
I agree the windbreaker looks after market. Never understood why anyone would use one....the whole object is to feel the wind. Also never understood why people drive with the windows up. Mine are always down....so I can feel the wind...hence a convertible. Great review!!
James where did you get these sunglasses haha I quite fancy them haha great video love this car now, every time you make a video about a car I want it!! keep up the good work
I would have done the entire interior in green. It would be cool seeing more cars without the boring beige, grey, and black that every other car has. I do find the seats in the CGT to be just a tiny bit narrow. If the seats were 1cm wider and the footwells 2cm wider then I’d find it considerably more comfortable. Conversely, I think the Mulsanne is the most comfortable car seat and driving position of any car in automotive history - and I don’t think there’s even a close second. The Mulsanne is absolute ergonomic perfection! I find the double diamond stitching to be a little busier than I like; I really like their conventional single diamond stitching. I’m also very much looking forward to seeing the new Flying Spur!
watching a review on a car that i'll probably never get in my whole life while i waste my night away not doing any of the homework that i probably should be doing
"I've recently done a fabulous deal with Bentley to get my hands on one." James, I assume this means you didn't buy it outright and it's really none of our business and doesn't necessarily affect my question. I'd like to know, is it a car you would buy for yourself and your family? I'm not sure if you have this same issue in Great Britain/Europe but in America Bentley's, esp new ones, have a pretty steep depreciation curve. In your last video you talked a bit about the difference between looking like a millionaire and actually being one, having a prudent investment plan, etc. As great as this car is (and I think it's honestly a gorgeous GT car) are the improvements Bentley has made worth it when it comes to future value i.e. does the car provide enough enjoyment and experience to overlook the fact it's going to take quite a hit value-wise over the next few years? Fantastic video as always. Thanks mate!
The windshield should be hidden in two parts in de back of the front seats and automatically removable under a certain speed.... This car is awsome !!!!.
James you know how sell the experience. One car always like from them was the Gt. A gentleman near my old gob had a green one 2015 or so. And had a amg G500
Back seats are very usable, (preferably top up of course), for small-to-medium sized persons. That's a huge plus. Much better than other supposedly 2+2s like Portofinos, Californias, Jags or Astons.
True ! The Black Badge also has a sportier note and as for luxury its the bench mark ... but the Bentley is still quality regading its luxury packages!
Hmmm funny... most global car magazine reviews are critical of the dual clutch gearbox, generally stating it doesn’t suit the character of the car when it’s doing what it was intended to do 90% of the time (driving in urban environments). Not surprised Bentley were specific in requiring praise of the gearbox when racing it. However we can turn a blind eye to a little ‘back scratching’ when the product in question looks so damn good!!!
I get the last generation of the Bentley conti’s gearbox wasn’t great but don’t forget the true geniuses behind the gearbox (and pretty much everything great in terms of engineering) in this generation are the Porsche engineers. I don’t think the gearbox is that different from its application in the Porsche Panamera turbo s ehybrid.. PDK in that is arguably a bigger achievement due to the performance figures in that car.
Hola James ,Como Estas, !That's Bentley GTC Sounds Sick ,All You Need is Sound Tracks !Like Highway To Hell😍😍👏👏Great Technical Great Video James ?How's Jr And Wife OK I Hope Regards To The Family C U Mate
The interiors on a Bentley are next level and better than the RR

Oh my ... the color on that car is just spectacular !! 👌👌
Isn't it just?!
Yes, it's perfect! I wonder if it's British racing green or Barnato Green?
@@Memovox I guess it's barnato green. Can't say for sure though😂
this cars interior is better than my house
@@dvanderhoorn5605 OMG dawg that was a joke I drive a mulsanne and I'm living in calabasas. That car is no where near of my house price
This car's interior is actually better than most houses
Tony C Dude, don’t degraded your house like that, your home is where your heart is, it’s just a vehicle with a few pieces of metal!

Hell yeah

I believe they're doing a V8 hybrid version of the gtc, so for countries like China where the tax on a big engine near doubles the price of the car they can still compete.
Why does it need to be a battle of some sorts? It’s just an evolution on technology, be at peace with it and you’ll live longer.
Hybrids and pure electric and maybe hydrogen fuels cells are coming. Many will be excellent
THE SOUND OF THE GEAR SHIFTS 🤤
They really knocked the looks on this one out of the flipping park! Gorgeous
Potentially the classiest car on sale today. And that color combo.. Uau
Fell in love with that new Continental GTC... Great video James
Pure elegance and performance at the heart of it all and just when you thought it couldn't get any better.
Great driving dynamics on this Bentley Continental..thanks for the upload. The Rolls Royce Dawn and this Bentley Continental are both excellent autos.
Very cool video JWW! I was wondering how the now GTC's experience was, so thank you! Keep up the great work fam ✌
That you can drive al these special cars every day is a bless, I hope I will get there too one day! Have a great day James!

1:26 hmm Bentley should pay you for that picture!!! Love it!!
They have hit the nail on the head with this new Conti, it’s beautiful compared to the old one. Such a nice car!
Finally some good music background! Great car. Enjoy!
This channel keeps getting better and better. Thank you James all of the best mate keep the content coming! Lots of love from South Africa
The coupe is the first Bentley road car I've ever actually wanted to own. It's brilliant. That without the roof, yes please:)

That wind deflector is embarrassing. Mercedes have done it right in their S-class cabriolet.
