Captains log USS Normandy Adm Caughey in command. I honestly can’t believe this long strange hell is over. Thought it’s only been a few years it feels like a lifetime. Offensives p, counteroffensives, it’s been a blur. So I’ll get I to it. Task force ghost was offered the chance to be part of the spear ( the tip in-fact) going back to Chin, toka. After what we went through on Betazed it would be a welcome reprieve to go back to fighting this war to an end. So we got our chance, TF Ghost blasted into the Breen in the early morning hours with instructions to “ beat the piss out of them”, in moments after decloaking we had secured a warp in point and continued into the system, in our wake the entire fleet came pouring in behind us. Finding combatants was no challenge but the breen with their energy dampening weapon now useless finally got to find out what it was like for us during the first battle of Chin, toka. We did not accept surrender requests and simply annihilated the breen, yeah I guess you could call it bloodlust or whatever the Klingons call a kill frenzy. We know this will be a hard slog but I’ve got a date on cardassia with General Martok, Capt Sisko, and a barrel of bloodwine and it’s not one I’m going to miss. Maybe when this war is finally over I can go find someplace peaceful to relax for a few months. ( leans back and pours a big shot from a very old bottle of whiskey) (( takes a big swig )). Not sure how bloodwine compares to 21st century Jack Daniels but I’ll find out soon enough. I also discovered a new issue with my Nanite and Borg components, doctor told me they are now repairing cells as they die off which has virtually stopped my aging process. This was a unintended side effect of the surgery so it now means that in 100 to 150 years I’ll still be here looking 41 after all my friends have passed on. I guess someone will remember this conflict in its entirety, just never figured it would be me. More war yet to fight so I might still get dead yet. Adm Matthew Caughey out
"They are dead. You are dead. Cardassia is dead." The female changling to Garek when asked about potential survivors of the Obsidian order's attack. IMO, killing the Cardassians was always the plan.
No one tells the Dominion war better than you. You truly have heart for Star Trek. And the fans appreciate that we appreciate all the effort and research you putting things and we appreciate your imagination

DS9 had such good writing and performances that it still commands respect and devotion, and will continue to do so for decades to come. Thank you for honoring that with your hard work on these lore videos, I look forward to whatever else you upload to this channel.

I was worried you would stop at march 2376 with the dominion war but when you said there will be more i was over joyed. Ty for all your hardwork on this series and for continuing with future episodes i have been following the dominion war since the first episode for over 2 years. You the man keep up the good works i will be watching every future episodes.
Absolutely loved your Dominion war series! Started watching a couple summers ago, before I left for air force basic training! Thank you for all the effort and love you put into each episode, monthly updates as well as the battlespace episodes! I actually had an interesting sci-fi suggestion for a series. Do a cross-universe comparison of various sci-fi fleets or militaries if they were to meet in battle (like Star Wars' Galactic Empire vs Domionion, both at their known peaks)
Today the guns are silent. A great tragedy has ended. A great victory has been won. The skies no longer rain death; the seas bear only commerce; men everywhere walk upright in the sunlight.
And it’s the end of the line of the final journey Enemies leaving the past And it's Alliance Fleets and the Cardassian Orders fighting together at last!
Nice. This was one of those series I caught up on every few months, and it was just pleasant to watch when I was feeling a "trek" day. Thank you for making it.
Phenomenal series. Can't wait to see what else you have in store, with regards to the Dominion War. Maybe slightly cheesy, but I'd love to see a video which covers the dimise of each one of the Dominion Battleships. If indeed everyone's was destroyed....
Well done man. I have enjoyed this series and look forward to all your videos. Watching your content has inspired me to try things on my own channel. I look forward to more of the Dominion War along with what other surprises you have for us. I also hope someday I can coax you into giving the BattleTech universe a taste of your talent.
This was a really great series and I’ve been catching since it started. I’ve eagerly awaited it every month. As you went on I rarely had a question of does this make sense based on what we saw in DS9 and you always answered those questions with either an in depth battlespace episode or in the next month. It’s a very well done history and whether or not it’s canon is irrelevant it’s brilliant and will always be my canon. I look forward to, and to your next projects. To peace at last✌️
I read there was over 8 thousand allied ships present. The moment the cardassian fleet changed sides , they destroyed 2 thousand dominion vessels. ( including breen )
Brilliant! This series was so good, it really feels like u closed a gap in the story arc that writers of DS9 (most likely due to budget) could not do. Really well done! 🖖
I love this series and your following the timelilne and breaking down The Dominion War. This is a far cry from the norm of exploration for which the Federation is known for. Hats off to you Venom Geek. Loved this and will continue to follow your channel and video postings!!! Live Long And Prosper.
Hmm - regarding the map: the same one was used by the Philosophy of Star Trek (post scarcity) vid, by Love, Life and Anarchy channel. Quite detailed, but pretty different in layout from the one popularized by Geoffrey Mandel and Larry Nemecek, in their Star Charts and Stellar Cartography books. These have shown up in Discovery and Picard lately, in mostly same detail. Cardassian space is much smaller there, and 'lower' in the picture, too. Klingon space in contrast is IMMENSE. Thank you very much for all these years of stories. In truth, I enjoyed them a lot, so much so that it is the only project with the name of "star trek" that I have been excited since the end of "enterprice". Now it's time to listen to all the chapters from the beginning!
Venom it will be great to see you get back to these videos again. I echo everyone who looks forward to seeing it and I definitely do want to see in depth stuff.
Epic project just doing the war-maps! I'd love to see the specials and side-stories. (Especially where we often debate about fighters and attack birds and making not much of a showing it seems, but they musta been there for a reason and they must have worked for an awful lot or they wouldn't be there at all.) Also DS9 kinda gives the impression the Breen weapon had Starfleet just sitting on their hands a lot of the time, and I don't buy *that.* :) So that's why I put those two things together a lot.
You've done very very well my dude. This has been wonderfully entertaining, informative and definitely a good bit of lore. I look forward to even more!
Always believed that the Domain where planning on wiping out the entire Cardassins race win or lose. The Founders always come off to me as very vindictive, the Obsidian Order attempted at wiping them out was never forgotten or forgive. They just used the Cardassins as a foothold until they conquered the Alpha and Beta quads. Honestly would like to hear your opinion on that.
Have to say that was a great end to a fantastic series narrating the timeline of the largest and bloodiest war to ever consume the alpha quadrant. Basically the dominion loses this war because it destroys itself from within with regards to its relationship with Cardassia and their totalitarian regime of dealing with them as well as facing a numerically eventually gathered alliance that they could never win a war of attrition against despite whatever wildcards or new allies they could drege up. Think it would be great to see a video on what was going behind the scenes and how the agencies of the great powers and in particular section 31 were up to when it came to making their own vital, but horrific contributions to the war effort.
The reasons why you do these series is the very reason i watch them. My only wish is that i could afford to be a higher member. I thought it was great how you used the navarchs in the battle of batazed. That said, me being an excelsior nut id like to know what upgrades it got that made it so survivable, compared to others like the ambassador. But whatever you put out I'm sure it will be great
I've really enjoyed every moment of this, Venom. Thank you so much for this thorough and engaging history of the Dominion War. I will definitely watch more of your Trek history videos from this point on! I have a question/suggestion - do you plan on doing a video on the Husnock? I know that we know so little about them, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on their civilisation and the only one of their warships we saw. Cheers!
Loved this! And what does Starfleet get? The next two decades helping rebuild Cardassia, the collapse of the Romulan Star Empire, and the horrific accident on Mars that leave it an isolationist power. Turning eyes inwards for so long if not while it rebuilds, then that it is afraid of coming upon something so traumatic yet again.
Sir, I thank you. For you have reignited my imagination and with that reason, I have restarted playing st armada 2 dominion war mod. Me as romulans, with my fed and klingon ally, vs the dominion cardassians and breen. Nirvana 2 map. Live long and proper sir. Qap'la
An excellent ending (but the beginning of the end). This series felt like a Star Trek in Real Time project (check out ww1 and ww2 in real time in case you don't know). Point being, you dud an amazing job at a historic approach to the Dominion War that felt like a real war. By chance are you doing to do specials on the post war time period? Like for example, the Treaty of Bajor and the partition (or lack of) of the Cardassian Union. I'm really curious if your version of the Treaty as there is an old fan creation was very much like the Treaty of Versailles (limiting gun caliber, tonnage, excludes build certain types of ships, etc). I'm wondering what you could do.
You have to do battle breakdowns for the attack on uss odyssey, and and the battle of Omarion Nebula, they were both key events that lead right into the Dominion war story arc
Maybe a special that covers the peace could end up as a good "finale" once you've gotten through the last dedicated "Battlespace" episodes... or what the Federation, Klingons, and Romulans get out of the victory. Possibly the possible rise or the framework for the rise of figures like Shinzon in Romulus and how the Cardassians then deal with essentially being the prime member of the Dominion Alliance to get the bulk of the fighting and thus casualties. And how the Federation responds or emerges from the conflict and what the Klingons do with any possible gains made.
With the Breen cut off and the Dominion relief fleets stopped at Lazon, the war was effectively over at that point. Keeping the war going beyond that was just dying for the sake of dying.
Captain's Log USNRS Proxima NCC-3110, Reservist Captain Monaghan. Ever since this old museum ship had been reactivated since after the attack on earth. Although me and the officers and crew have seen a few actions. The old Proxima just couldn't take it, could barely hold up against a Jem'Hadar Fighter. But I'm finally glad this war is finally over and me and the crew and officers all but want to resume to what the Proxima NCC-3110 was originally supposed to be, an active museum ship and quasi training ship.
Imagine if the Dominion received its reinforcements (what 2500 ships) from the other side of the worm hole!? Dont think people realize how F'ed the Federation was
@@venomgeekmedia9886 DANGIT!!! Was hoping it was a Venom Geek Special! Also one aspect of the Humanity in Star Trek, we were a warlike species and have been for thousands of years. Just because we became a single peaceful world doesn't mean we suddenly lost that nature and it is almost made so in the undercurrent of humans in that Universe. I think even at our current sort of civilized state, we would scare a lot of species looking at us now and what we could be capable of if we ever did have the ability to get off-world and into the galaxy. I may be missing this as I do know Starfleet has its diplomats (Picard) and its frontline fighters (Jellico).
Personal log... Icarus 1. Dawn reporting. Dusk? Well... I'm not sure if he'd make it. Blood loss. He got hit by shrapnel during the battle. The war finally ends, but I don't feel like celebrating. After all we've fought through, after everything we did... He's not gonna go out like this, did he? (Sigh) the Cardassia prime team were lucky. We were assigned to one of the mining moons. The dominion... They launched several salvos of dilithium tipped quantum cruise missiles at it... The quantum detonation engulfed the thing in a bright white flash, then suddenly an unstable purple glow appeared, some kind of red energy arcing throughout it. I knew what it is... Dilithium detonation. The entire moon was covered in a sickening, bright orange hellish magma wasteland, and magenta clouds cracking with unstable red energy flew overhead, leaving nothing but red hot rubble of former buildings on the surface. Everything was incinerated. I can still remember their screams. Oh their screams... Their bodies disinterested by zero point detonation... Those were the lucky ones. The rest are... Incinerated by dilithium fire. The explosion cascade Hits the weapons depot and antimatter refinaries... And there wasn't much of a celestial surface left. It's like someone decided to swap the mantle and the crust... I can still remember it all... I grieve for the fallen, and I can only hope that Dusk, my friend wouldn't join them in the end. Terminate log recording.
They flew over the landscape... If it can even be called that. The entire city burnt. There's black smoke rising everywhere. First the moon was hit with... Dilithium tipped cruise missiles. The dominion launched volleys at the cities. The entire moon was washed a sickening crimson with gore and flames alike. People who they were moments ago chatting with on comms now screeched in terror and agony as their bodies were incinerated or disintegrated by the zero point detonation, the blast enhanced by the dilithium. Children and adults alike burnt in a callous attempt at genocide... They were able to take out the bomber drones, but it was too late. The entire hemisphere was engulfed in a bright with blast, then a flash of a deep, sickening magenta, cackling with arcing red bolts. It was calamity. As the light died down, the surface was washes ablaze with motel rocks, and only rubbles of former buildings, glowing red hot remained. The moon washes with a gut wrenching orange. The resultant blast caused a chain reaction within the planet's natural dilithium deposits, chain detonating to the weapons cache and antimatter refinaries across the planet, turning the planet into nothing but a barren, hellish magma wasteland. "Dusk." she managed to croak to her partner. "I'm sorry." he replied, tears flowing down his face. "Icarus, sauron. Vector to home plate. RTB. There's nothing to save anymore." the voice of their AWACS cackled through the comm link. No words were exchanged as Dawn piloted their fighter back to their carrier. Suddenly, Dusk felt something wet on the right of his waist. "Hey Dawn. Is anything leaking?" She quickly ran a diagnostic. "No? Fuel pressure nominal ... Atmospheric pressure dropping slightly nothing unsafe... hydraulics nominal?" she quickly replied. Then suddenly Dusk felt a sharp pain sting across his ribs. He quickly removed his hand from the wet spot, and to his shock, he saw a dark bloody red on his hand. "Dawn... We aren't leaking fuel." he said, gritting his teeth, the adrenaline of their battle wearing off. "I'm leaking blood." Her face morphed from a stoic one into a horrified one. "Starcrystal, Icarus 1. Need priority landing. Dusk is injured. Need immediate medical assistance." she radioed their carrier. Flying as fast and as stable as possible, she brought the craft in for landing and walked out, Dusk limping behind her. Suddenly, he turned towards her. "What are you doing?" she asked, panicked. "Giving you the hug I promised." he replied, pulling her into a thigh embrace, then unceremoniously passed out on her. She watched as the medics swarmed him and took him to sickbay, her gut turning and churning, worried if she'd ever get to say what she always wanted to say.
Unless the Dominion brutalized populations of planets they conquered, civilian losses should have been very low, at least on the allied side. Crews of ships would be the highest and ground troops the next.

Somehow judging by Martok's reaction at the end and knowing the Romulans, 800 million was probably getting off easy for the Cardassians.

Close your eyes
And remember me
Never more

With the Breen cut off and the Dominion relief fleets stopped at Lazon, the war was effectively over at that point. Keeping the war going beyond that was just dying for the sake of dying.
thank you i was incredible
Captain's Log USNRS Proxima NCC-3110, Reservist Captain Monaghan. Ever since this old museum ship had been reactivated since after the attack on earth. Although me and the officers and crew have seen a few actions. The old Proxima just couldn't take it, could barely hold up against a Jem'Hadar Fighter. But I'm finally glad this war is finally over and me and the crew and officers all but want to resume to what the Proxima NCC-3110 was originally supposed to be, an active museum ship and quasi training ship.
Those looking for trouble often get more than their fair share
Imagine if the Dominion received its reinforcements (what 2500 ships) from the other side of the worm hole!? Dont think people realize how F'ed the Federation was
Well it's going to be a long and endless war because those three big powers aren't going to roll down and accept defeat.
Shinzon's Campaigns; do a series on what he did!
Bravo
This would make a great campain in a Game.
Cheers
Say it aint so!
😆 but are time is finally here . ( singing)
I thought Zek was providing financial support to the allies after that incident.
Yes that does make sense.
Great quote "...the next worst thing to a battle lost...is a battle won..." Was that come up with on the spot?
Bad quote. If the allies lost, Cardassins would have been genocide, Allies would have been destroyed.

It is complete!
I think manora had shipyards
So are you saying "It's been a long road, getting from there to here"?

You should do the battle for Narendra Three and the battle of maxia
But what about the droid attack on the Wookiees?
Is Vadic the female changeling who surrendered at the end of the Dominion war?
Any chance you will do the wars in Star Trek Online in the future.
"Hey Dawn. Is anything leaking?"
She quickly ran a diagnostic.
"No? Fuel pressure nominal
"I'm leaking blood."
Her face morphed from a stoic one into a horrified one.
She watched as the medics swarmed him and took him to sickbay, her gut turning and churning, worried if she'd ever get to say what she always wanted to say.
i presume any remaining jem hedar battleships got alpha striked to bits in the opening rounds of the battle?
Unless the Dominion brutalized populations of planets they conquered, civilian losses should have been very low, at least on the allied side. Crews of ships would be the highest and ground troops the next.
What music did you use at the beginning of this video.
🖖
@venomgeek media you never did do another video on the battle for cardassia prime
