  • A 1968 interview with childrens author Marguerite Henry. She tells how her experiences influenced the adventures she wrote about. This interview is 11th in a series of author interviews produced by Imperial International Learning in their Meet the Authors collection.
My wife bought this collection of cassette tapes off ebay and asked me to rip 4 of of the authors for her. I am ripping the whole series of 20 and uploading them to RUclips for all to enjoy.
Remember we're dealing with cassettes nearly 50 years old and throughout the series the production was a little uneven.

Oh my! This recording makes my heart happy. I last heard Marguerite Henry’s voice in the 1990s when we talked on the phone. I wrote her a fan letter as a child, and she wrote back! We were friends until she passed in 1997. Truly a remarkable soul. I miss her still, but am truly thankful for our years of friendship.

I have a signed copy of MUSTANG. I’m so blessed. I’ve had it since 1968.
