The brand that helped define off-road dominance is now facing an identity crisis that’s shaking the entire car market. And then came the bombshell announcement from Jeep’s CEO, a move so unexpected it has everyone asking-can this legendary brand survive, or are we witnessing the fall of an icon?

Unstoppable reliability! that's NOT what they're known for here in Australia,
Last new Jeep I bought was a 1985 CJ7 5 speed. Since then, I have bought used 88 Cherokee, and a used 93 Cherokee. The 93 is sitting parked. If I could, I'd get q classic Power Wagon. I wish I could get a nice rebuilt OLD one.
Low cost no frills made tough easy to fix and modify. Not a single product in the jeep line that matches that. Used to be the Wrangler
As a welder since 1981, I have worked on enough of them to know that they are not built tough.
It's no longer jeep. It's Stelantis. When they end jeep they will lose nothing and nether will the customers. The Wagoneer was junk. The Rubicon is now the Rubican't. Tacoma. 10K less and very buildable. The new Frontier off road is making a mark. Even Rover is entering here at less than Jeep prices. Now the Jeep motors, every one is junk. The transmissions are 1970's lack of reliability. GM has both the Chevy and Jimmy mid size with off road packages. The only vehicle worse and just as insulting to common sense is the Bronco.
Mahindra Thar 4x4 price (their licensed version of a jeep CJ/wrangler) is under 14K they should be building something under 25 grand that's all a vehicle like that should cost.
well, lifter issues that failed camshafts and common failures like water pumps and oil cooler leaks kind of didn't help either.
40% overpriced and no longer reliable....
Stellantis just about killed off Chyrsler, as Chyrsler only has 1 model now, and it's a mini van.
That's what happens when you stop making anything that would qualify as a jeep.
So...what was the bombshell that shook the entire car market? I hate stupid claims in the description! Great interesting video but why the title? Why not "Jeep in big trouble!" or something relating to the video? It was a really good video after all. Makes no sense! And what is a Teeyota?
I smell a bailout coming and we will pay for it. Literally. Just Empty Every Pocket. I own one. I know.
CEOs don't care they make millions put your pay where your mouth is, put your job on the line
It doesn't help that a 20yr old subaru with a few inches lift, tires, and rear locker is more than capable enough to do what 90% of jeep owners are willing to do off road due to payments and costs. my workplace parking is full of jeeps and tacomas with thousands upon thousands of mods and crap bolted onto them. Good luck finding a single scratch or mud stain on any of them.
