And while Deere sinks they have a C E O who has no shame and beleives he is worth $23 million for a years worth of taking Deere down the tubes. Folks we live in a very sick soceity. Give me the past days when life was much simpler and much more honest.

John Deere applied an automobile/truck concept to farm equipment. Not the same. The board & CEO of these corporations need a realignment of purpose. Being publicly traded is ALWAYS a problem.

Using 0w-20 on the V8 truck engines instead of 5w-30 is another problem. They run quieter on 5W-30 the other option is doing a AFM delete when its out of warranty but its expensive.

The GOVERNMENT, with their impossible demands, is the root cause. Hopefully theie will be reloef coming soon.

There used to be a time when automobile manufacturers tested their engines and transmissions thoroughly before they were ever committed to production. Now it goes from engineering concept to production with virtually no compete or long-term, real-world testing. The engineers that are designing these products today are inexperienced computer jockeys that have probably never held a wrench, let alone had to work on a car they designed. To satisfy government officials they have cowed down to demands that are unreasonable and unrealistic and in fact dangerous, all at the customer's expense. This isn't just GM. Almost every major manufacturer has followed a similar path with the same results. We now have cars we can't trust, and quality that that lacks even the basic levels of design safety. I wonder when the cost of fixing their mistakes will be sufficient to make manufactures realize that this has been a big mistake. It's hard to build a good reputation but easy to destroy it. Toyota is a perfect example of this.

I have a 2021 Escalade 6.2 engine bought it new and now has 30k miles I’m worried almost every day about this issue 🤦🏻‍♂️

Boy do I know this engine failure first hand. My 5.7 Liter Hemi went dead with the ticking issue at 109,000 miles. It had been in for the "ticking issues" before then and broken manifold studs and Manifold replacements were often the diagnosis to take care of the problem. The Ram 1500 was serviced always because of the Lifetime Maxicare Warranty I bought with the truck and wanted no issues when the truck needed something. When the engine died with no warning, I ended up getting a new crate engine from Mopar to fix my problem engine. This new engine has about 15,000 miles on it now but I'm sure it has the same lifter issue the old one had. The whole issue didn't surprise anyone at the dealership that I had replace the engine. They all knew the issue and had seen it before. Plenty of RUclips video's about this. FCA and Stellantis has known about if for a long time. Just refused to admit it because of the cost. I've had other shady things like parts that were covered by the warrantly were suddenly discontinued for no reason. If you need one of those parts, you have to go to a salvage yard for it which voids your warranty going forward. They've also made it increasingly impossible to put a claim in if the value of the job is greater than $1000 which these days doesn't take much to reach. The dealership service advisor used to be able to call the warranty division and get it approved the next day. Now they can only communicate via email which then allows the Mopar Warranty bunch to bounce around the claim by asking for more information each time and eventually need pictures..etc. For anyone who can't wait that long for it all to get worked out, they end up just paying for the fix out of warranty. This Ram 1500 I will run to the ground but I will never, ever buy a Dodge product ever again. I have a Nissan Frontier as well that is like a rock.

Bastard CEO ran what little quality left into the ground and walked away with a ton of money. Don’t buy any of this new crap.

ALL 2009 and newer 5.7 and 6.4 hemi engines since they went vvt have a serious flaw that doesn't exist in my 350,000 mile 6.1 and 5.7 2007 charger and 2006 magnum. The EPA forced dodge to use oil that was too thin. The SRT group told me to use 5w40 and 10w40 in my 5.7 AND 6.1. NO TICK, NEVER HAD ONE.

I know somebody that works at a Chevy dealership and they told me this is a major problem for starters they don't have the motors to replace the bad motors he says they got three they need to replace now but they can't get the motors it's a shame GM used to be a great company start to go downhill 2009 and 10.

Auto makers apparently don't test new engine designs. Just build it and put consumers on the hook for testing it.

Way to much pre test quality control testing failures that gets passed to early. And then its down hill from their .either you get it right or you go broke .

What do you expect when you have a woman who has no interest in cars at all ! Someone who is only interested in profit and short term gains ,with terrible back up service .

The EPA has placed a lot of requirements on the manufacturers to achieve fuel economy. This comes at a cost to the manufacturer and to the consumer. Unfortunately, this is a tough situation for all parties involved.
