While John Deere is performing well on the stock market, this can be misleading. The underlying issues within the company and industry could be overlooked, suggesting potential challenges ahead that investors may not fully recognize. Thanks for Watching!❤
When JD wants $ 1000.00 for steering valve and you buy the identical valve for less than half being the same one JD uses I think is closer to theft than good business practices. I feel for the farmers After they invest the kind of money they do and can’t afford to get it running or worse yet get someone to come and repair it.
Actually to a lesser degree this is happening even with your private vehicle, a friend had a bird strike that smashed the headlight on his VW Tiguan, the dealers quoted £2200 to replace it, so he asked if he could purchase it and fit it himself. The answer was yes but it will not work, until you bring it to us to code it to your cars system. So they had him both ways.
Guys John Deere equipment account for nearly 50 percent of equipment. John Deere supports nearly all of their equipment over the years. Farmers need Deere, but they can’t not be able to repair their equipment
@@brentdykgraaf184 Deere & Co's largest Combine harvester, the X9 - 1100, costs in excess of a million dollars ! With a header, I think it's something like 1•3 million dollars ! If I had that kind of money, I'd invest in something less likely to start devaluing as soon as it's driven off the lot ! That's very poor investment practice - no-one ever invests their money to lose it !
JD is surly shooting themselves in the foot. Its incredible that JD would do this type of insane maintenance system, as this indicates corporate ignorance and greed, Iam sure this will be resolved in time as stupid never works in the long run.

The industry is so competitive nowadays if you lose a customer chances are you won't get him back if you lose 10 customers 20 customers 100 customers you won't get them back there are too many choices out there for people to be tied to one company I know a guy that once bought nothing but Kenworth trucks for his fleet Kenworth upset him and before he made his next order for trucks he went down to Peterbilt and bought a brand new Peterbilt and parked it at the Kenworth parking lot to let them know that they was in the only ones that sold trucks you shouldn't have to kiss somebody's butt but loyalty has a price
. When corporations grow too much, big techs or JD start abusing customers by imposing contracts with abusive clauses to monopolize the market. And today, corporations are managed by CEOs who come from the financial market, which is an unproductive activity and only care about seeking immediate profits to increase their bonuses and dividends for large shareholders. So they don't understand farmers who belong to a productive activity and deal with the forces of nature such as land, sun, rain, etc., and still control the time of planting and harvesting and depend on prices on the commodity exchanges. CEOs from the financial world are oblivious to this world of production and are only focused on cutting costs. Many high-tech companies have cut investments in R&D, such as Boeing and Intel, and this has been fatal for them, who are in crisis and at risk of bankruptcy. For example, China, which does not have a financialized economy, invested heavily in R&D and is now beginning to present its results such as DeepSeek, an open-source AI that is more efficient and consumes less energy than ChapGpt, and so, thanks to the financier CEOs, the US is falling behind in the AI race.
That is correct! John Deere performs well in the stock market primarily due to strong demand for its agricultural equipment, fueled by high commodity prices and a growing need for efficient farming solutions. Investors are optimistic about the company's potential for revenue growth and profitability in the short term. However, the "catch" lies in the challenges the company faces, such as supply chain disruptions, rising material costs, and potential economic downturns. These issues could lead to decreased profitability and affect future growth. While the stock may look attractive now, underlying problems could pose risks that investors need to consider.
John Deere applied an automobile/truck concept to farm equipment. Not the same. The board & CEO of these corporations need a realignment of purpose. Being publicly traded is ALWAYS a problem.
If Farmers where to hire or lease Farm Machinery from a local Dealer over a 3 or 5yr cycle , with a clause in contract to fix or replace broken machinery within hours , or overnight , would this not solve the problem ?

It got that way because of bean counters who could only see profit instead if customer service - it has now backfired!!

John Deere also send claims costs back to its suppliers, without specific accounting as to these claims. Difficult to do business with JD.
