My year period on a grill and my buddy who worked as a chef for like 15 years cemented the fact I don't want to cook for a living. Too hot, too greasy, you always smell like the food afterward. The times going out after a shift were very fun, though.
Exactly. I do not miss it at all. Working on Holidays. Working nights only. Not getting home until 1 or 2 in the morning. The smell that never gets out of your clothes. Any exposed skin getting a thin film of oily residue. The burns. The sore feet from standing for 10 hours straight. And thats not even getting into the actual craziness of a dinner rush. No, I'm good on that.
I just opened my second restaurant and still love to watch your service. Thanks guys for the great videos, I hope that it gets more people to wanna cook and be part of the restaurant world.
Came here in March on a friend's recommendation while I was in London - easily my #1 food recommendation during my stay. Super cool that I can keep up with you guys on YT too. The food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere all top notch! I'm not sure I would have the cod's head again at 1:46 (sumptuous but a bit too overwhelming for me lol), but I would definitely love to come back and explore more of the menu
Watching this Head Chef in action is so inspiring! The way they manage the chaos of a busy kitchen with such skill and precision is incredible. True leadership and passion for the craft!
I wish I liked fish. After getting a load of bones as a lad from a fish at the local chippy, I've never tried any type of fish again. 50 years later and I still haven't. The same as milk, at primary school in Lancashire many years ago they gave me a curdled bottle of small milk, never touched it since. Brilliant video and those ribs look ridiculous! Will have to plan a trip to London.
I wish these types of POV videos during a regular shift at a restaurant was available back during MPW and Gordon Ramsey's days. I would pay extra to warch the candid and unedited craziness of those 2 when actual film crews weren't there.
Like when he says ‘service’ how do the wait staff know which person in service is he talking to? And, what are they getting for their tables. Very confused but, in a good way.
the pass videos are really enjoyable to watch, ive said this since the first one. its a shame they arent longer shame its not more often however what's surprising, and others may not realise. these videos compared to the first one do i think 1/4 the views that their other videos, and im now guessing thats why they dont do these pass ones on a weekly or fortnightly basis. or maybe, if they did do them on a regularly basis, just like a tv show, people would provide more views to them.
Where do you get your seafrood from? Cods head is something we serve in Norway. The cods tongue is considered a delicacy here and is quite expensive. I'm sure with your expertise you could do something real nice with it. We do it quite simple and make a salt-pepper flour mix and sear the tongue in butter. Quite the snacks especially if we cought it fresh ourselves. :)
Okay, I get the grilled onions beneath Burratta cheese but, hat was that amazing saucy thing he put on top of those dishes??? I’m not going to London in the next year so, help a girl out and help me recreate that dish!
Don't have to. As long as it's tied back it's fine. It's all down to the place, if it's an issue then headwear might be made to be worn, if they don't have an issue then they don't have an issue
Not like the high end restaurant i would work in, our head chef had a lisp so he drooled in every meal that went out yep he was in the food business for 50 years. Probly drooled in a million plates of food
Yes, it's a kitchen during service. It happens and is a fact. As long as it stays on the floor or only gets picked up to be put in the bin then that is utterly fine.
I kinda miss restaurants. But imagining doing it everyday and cleaning at nights makes me come to my senses
lol agreed.

@@McShag420if it’s good food what’s wrong with smelling like the food😅😂
@@Teekz.283 the issue is you smell like all of it at once with a notable essence of deep fat fryer thrown in for good measure.

these are so immersive, very satisfying to watch. i would love more of these

Massive service. Would've loved a longer vid. They are soooo good. Love them.
I have no idea what I just watched, but it was spectacular.
Spent 16 years in the restaurant industry in my youth all FOH, I do miss it but my knees could never handle it now. I loved the organized chaos.
Ladies and gentleman, This is the real kitchen in the hospitality industry.
Love these videos.
Would like to see more of them =) .
Unbelievably amazing - like a symphony!
Bringing back memories..love the vibes
Visited Fallow back in March while traveling to London for the first time. Wonderful experience. The ribs and mushroom parfait blew my mind😮
The sound of that printer brings back the memories.
Love the vids, but i love hearing the gossip from anyone who sits in front of the chefs.
"Like, oh my god! What did she say?"😂😂
Wowser....totally in awe of how a service works in a restaurant - I had no idea what a well oiled machine it is!!! Kudos to you all....

I get anxious just watching.
Love to see a tightly run kitchen video! They might buy chef retractable sharpies and never fumbling to put a cap back on.

Thanks for another chill upload ❤
I kind of love how confused I am by this banter
Watching after service Calms me down
We ate here about 7 months ago, and it was amazing!!! It just has a great vibe and a fabulous restaurant
damn these guys work hard.
that sauce for the cod looks delicious and creamy !
The sauce is amazing. The cods head, while still really nice and tender, is a little disappointing.
I could watch this for two hours, except the cod's heads.
Mate get the clicker sharpies, they don't last as long but they are damn handy to have
What confused me here, is that it seemed a lot of dishes went out in singles, no tables all going out together.
Fun to watch and I noticed that I use same pencil marker at my work that the chef uses at the orders 😮
I cooked for many years.. I miss working a line sometimes. Thanks for the video.. subbed

I got recommended this but I don't know what it is but I'm excited
its a chef preparing orders at a restaurant in London. that stuff you can see is called food.
I’m on the same page as you man
Make these way longer!
I could watch this for hours. 👨🍳 👀
the pass videos are really enjoyable to watch, ive said this since the first one.
its a shame they arent longer
shame its not more often

Idk the views on Fallow vids really vary. 3 months ago a POV cooking vid is sitting at 300k+ views. Burger challenge last month is only 60k.
@@broshmosh no, im talking specifically the pov on the pass.

Expediter is the most important person on the line
Oh nice, you’ve got third person camera work too now?
Clicky sharpie, Chef.
Never seen a lengthwise fold on a curly ticket boss?
Your mate on the left looks hungry. Switch you two and let him make money. You need some reps chef, no offense
I know management takes a lot of time. We just wish you'd spend some time w us.
Youre fukking slow
I just wonder if a retractable sharpie would be an idea for this head chef
Give sauté the GoPro and give us a show, chef
Food is life ❤
Garde putting out good shit, chef
I’ll take some mussels, too, please! 💪🏻😋
I think this Restaurant will go into history and become a Kult Classic.
question : Do i have to make a reservation to become a table ?
Okay, I get the grilled onions beneath Burratta cheese but, hat was that amazing saucy thing he put on top of those dishes??? I’m not going to London in the next year so, help a girl out and help me recreate that dish!
One cod, one blenque, one shloomack! BACKS! It’s RAW. Garlic, garlic, garlic. 57, 76, 45. BINGO!!!!
It's not glamorous but could we see a end of the night closing of the Restaurant?
I will be here someday 🙌🫡
Nice nice, hope it"s a long video :D
I know right
@fallow would you consider offering a summer internship similar to a finance internship.
What is the sauce that you top the cods head with? Thank u.
It's their Sriracha house sauce. They have a video about their Cod's head on the channel.
This is definitely dedicated video to Gary Eats😂
Gary Eats is a fraud… he went to Fallow and ate two bites of what he ordered 😂
in the restaurant i work at a sharpie wouldn’t even last the length of this 20 minute video without getting nicked 😭
I miss Fallow
I just couldn’t do this job. Far too difficult
You might think that, but with training and time it becomes easy enough.
I'm certain Will is tethered to that black cloth.
Wish I could understand what’s going on, it looks interesting though!
i miss the chicken shop 😢😢
What camera is he using for taking this kind of pov videos?
Some kind of wearable
나도 이 분처럼 되고싶다
That could not of been easy to do, appreciate it.
These service videos are so good
When is the new restaurant open?
Fowl?
What is that face looking thing at 1:22?
Its a cods head.
Come on chef, 30 mins we need longer vids
Chef If you get a chance to read this comment, get you a sharpie that works like a push pen, no lid.
Cod head 👍
Chef Gump
Shouldn't the girls be wearing hair nets? Or anyone with over the shoulder long hair?
Don't have to. As long as it's tied back it's fine. It's all down to the place, if it's an issue then headwear might be made to be worn, if they don't have an issue then they don't have an issue
CHROIST 😅
Dude went from line cook to head chef in a year?
Not like the high end restaurant i would work in, our head chef had a lisp so he drooled in every meal that went out
yep he was in the food business for 50 years.
Probly drooled in a million plates of food
That was disappointing short...
Food on the floor several instances ..
Yes, it's a kitchen during service. It happens and is a fact. As long as it stays on the floor or only gets picked up to be put in the bin then that is utterly fine.
That's stuff waiting to be taken away.
Didn't you notice they were sitting next to the bins?
