Powerful story about his kid. I hate how we have become a climate that are so negative about decisions because we never know what is all involved in those decisions and it isn't our business to know.

Selling who you are and not who you aren't was McNair success ingredient at Alcorn. They got several city kids from places like Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston keeping it real when they pursued them.

Now keeping it real come with a NIL deal

@@toddgoza3522 Not necessarily. Everyone don't have access to NIL providers to make NILs available to their players. There is more than one recipe to building a winner and to building a champion. If you want players that have to be paid to play, you need NILs. But, know that if they want to be paid by you, someone with a bigger bag will come take them away from you.

Rocky, Cam Ward played in a Wing-T offense at Columbia High School in Texas (Class 3A), averaging just 12 pass attempts per game. So, it’s understandable why HBCUs, along with other colleges, had difficulty evaluating his talent and projecting his potential, which ultimately led to UIW being his only scholarship offer.
Honestly, it’s frustrating that a QB with his passing ability was limited to a Wing-T system in high school. But God had a plan for him, and I’m thrilled to see his hard work has paid off.
Now, if he hadn’t succeeded at an HBCU, you would’ve criticized them for taking a chance on a Wing-T quarterback.

Johnnie Cole spewing he doesn't like the process, but isn't on the inside to know what the exact process was that Norfolk State or Delaware State or any of these schools did with the hiring of their Head Football Coaches. And he basically wants the same ole same to go along to get along hiring practices. Basically calling Celebrity Coaches stupid. Like they've never picked up any knowledge, never mind any coaching connections, never learned how any practices were ever done, never learned anything about team meetings or never learned anything about offensive plays and formations or defensive plays and formations. Nope to Johnnie Cole, Celebrity Coaches are just too stupid and dumb and need to just fall in line because tradition. Too bad, he can't see the forest from the trees because if he could, he would see and understand to himself out there for the Celebrity Coaches to reach out to him to hire him as a Offensive Coordinator to install his HOBO Offense and to get himself back into that coaching world and put on a show with his high flying offense. These Celebrity Coaches aren't stupid and he really needs to wake up to that fact.

Why do these HBCU coaches have to talk about religion so much? Come back to reality.

For a lot of coaches they use football to spread the gospel
