It has to do with basics of life of what your goals are and to be successful what you put in if listened to any of it. Duno how u got that comment out of this interview with Deion
This interview changed my mind 100% on this situation and an example of how easy it is to listen to all of the peripheral bits of info and opinions and form your own half-baked opinion vs withholding judgement until all of the facts come out. Shannon is clearly a great friend to Deion but ultimately asked ALL of the tough questions (all of them and pushed back on the answers) and provided an uninterrupted venue for Deion to tell his whole story. An outstanding interview by Shannon.
Exactly why you should listen to both sides of the story than listen to people that don’t know what they are talking about and have done nothing for the community them selves
This is a pure treat to have two of the greatest to play the game sit down together. And why Shannon was going in on Prime like that. This was everything!!
2 sell outs coming together 🤣🤣 Skip showed the world Shannon is a boy and Prime sold out JSU for the worst job the NCAA offered. They knew what was coming and had to stop it

“I had a gift, a work ethic because I saw my mama working, working, working.,” Deion Sanders. How can you not root for this man. He turns boys to men. Praying for much success at CU❤
This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. Deion has probably never given such an honest and detailed interview. Shay Shay is killing it, and hope he has continued success.
I honest to god almost teared up when he started to get excited about talking about his kids not just his personal kids but his football kids I felt that on a deep level because this is so much deeper then putting a ball in a endzone dawg I love coach prime
Coach Prime’s faith in God and himself gives me the chills! I’m inspired to the point of tears listening to this man. I see why Jackson State is disappointed…but God…
Shannon Sharpe has brought the casual fan back to football. I’m learning about PRIME and this interview….. I can feel the friendship and joy they have for each others success. This was a deep classic footage.
I dont know if Coach Prime realizes he is inspiring young men of all colors and creeds, all religions, all backgrounds, and all sports to be great not just on the field, the court, the ring, or the gym but in the classroom, at home and in your heart.. What hes accomplished, is accomplishing, and will accomplish is nothing short of amazing. Thank you Prime for being the man you are, being the role model you are, and standing for whats right.
Excellent interview, Deion Sanders is truly one of a kind and I respect the way he moves and includes God. It's interviews like this that we need to see more of. Keep'em coming Shanon!
I am one that hated on Deion for leaving Jackson state. BUT I am a fool. I did not know his history. He has connected with the community for YEARS. DOING MORE THAN me and other people in my community. What an ICON Deion is, HATS OFF
Why hate someone you don’t know? 🤦🏾♂️appreciate the legacy he left for the students to follow but even that is a problem! You can never please everyone!
Man deion worshipping is disgusting. The man sold a dream and talk that God talk. Then left in a distasteful manner. Whenever you do that, expect backlash. Rightfully so. JSU ain't perfect, neither is Deion.
I don't know who has a better laugh. Coach's gift is beyond sports. He is a mentor, motivator, & positive influence. His words of inspiration are a lifeline for those of us without a gift & without positivity. Much love.
Thanks, Coach Prime. I attended three HBCUs. I worked, briefly, at another. My parents both graduated from HBCUs. We all appreciate you for raising the profiles of our schools. And thank you for reminding alumni that they are not giving.
When he mentioned the kids he taught in "Pee-wee" going to the hall of fame ceremony, some of whom might be coming to CU in these next years, THAT ENTHUSIASM .......THAT LOOK ON HIS FACE...........it's absolutely 100% right there.........He LOVES his players..beyond what they might do on a football field.......
While Shannon & Coach Prime was standing on the field, as soon as Shannon said, “you’re here” and tears began to flow as the vision of the stadium appeared. This is a blessing. I begin to praise the Lord for Coach Prime’s blessing. People y’all need to learn how to praise God when others are blessed knowing that you are next 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I love that Coach Prime can be honest and open about the situation with Jackson now. He tried to keep it cute and allude to the difficulty he had with the school but ppl wanted to question his character for leaving and now he’s setting the record straight. I really appreciate that personally. Bc he’s done so much for these boys + men even before he got to JSU so it was disappointing to see OUR ppl come at him when his heart has always been in the right place.
Bruh... Shannon asked nothing but softball questions. The man hyped up HBCUs and used race as a talking point for getting attention to the program...this would have been fine except it turns out he just wanted attention for himself and he left as soon as he got a better offer. He's absolutely a total bullshitter...he just used his people as props to elevate his profile in coaching.
Is it surprising tho?.....of course not. Can never just congratulate a person, gotta tear them down first then make it seem like it somethin is owed to us. Entitlement and delusional.
@@shorty1103 You can do well and enjoy your success...it was his slick talking points like a pastor or a politician that makes him look like a bullshitter. He shouldve just made it about football. This is like two uncles carrying on at the family dinner, and you're just the young guy getting a plate and listening. I didn't have these kinds of videos when I was growing up, I had just what I saw on TV of athletes like this. It's crazy to hear these two larger than life athletes just sit down and talk, so I hope people now appreciate that we get to hear and see things like this, and take whatever advice and knowledge they give or let out.
This is a wonderful and heartwarming conversation. Deion has been investing in kids for decades. Hated to see him leave JSU, but pray that God grant him success at University of Colorado! Shannon did a masterful job of having his brother’s back.

New level of respect for him and congratulations on what he's doing 👏! Congrats to Shannon on his success in the media world also!!
Great interview. What touched me the most is when Deion Sanders talked about how he has been his sons only coach. As a father and grandfather, it was a beautiful thing to see an example of a father making the commitment to his sons, to develop them into great men, to give them an example of excellence. So many times, we hear of the absentee father, the father who ran out on his family, the deadbeat. It was refreshing to see a father make that level of commitment to his children.
As an HBCU alum (CAU) it was time some light was shed on the HBCUs. They are rich in tradition and should be the ultimate experience in young people learning their culture and realizing their dreams. I am a Georgia boy just like Shannon and it amazes me the deep relationships we have with them Florida boys. My best friend who is now deceased went to FAMU (another HBCU). Watching you two guys reminds me of me and my boy. RIP Rod!
You just told a solid truth. FloridaBoyz and Georgia Boyz just click. We may be raised different, but we all have some.many similar traits. Especially about respect
9:01 I love how Coach talked about God speaking to him about what moves to make and him moving with the voice of God. As a believer many won’t understand when we say that but this is dope for him to highlight this on such a platform as this.

HBCUs have been around since the 18 hundreds...lol and we'll be here long after... but i digress and wish him all the luck in his new endeavors.
“When ya game so strong, they got to find some wrong.” 😂😂 Prime A Legend Fr 💯
Both of them are jewels for the culture and community. This should be the highest-viewed episode!✊🏿
smh!
For the culture? Great interview hands down. For the culture what exactly does that even mean?
@Slay Slaya they are jewels for the African American culture and the community they serve and influence. Got it?
@@davidwhite8158 what's up with you're tone? Did I offend you?
@@davidwhite8158 just interested in what "the culture" means . In my opinion whenever I hear/see that phrase it's attached to negative behaviors.
Who else besides me can see the true friendship respect and love these 2 have for each....Great interview
They like relatives
I can’t get enough prime and his positive attitude can break down walls. It’s contagious
I've always been a fan of Prime Time, he was my boyfriend in my head, I too can't get enough of him.
This was one of the best interviews ever. You can feel the genuine love these brothers have for each other. Coach Prime was on point with questioning why HBCU's are always going begging "cap in hand". Something is definitely wrong with that. I love how his focus is not only on them winning games but also about creating successful young men in the future.
I had no intentions of watching the whole interview but I couldn’t stop! This was everything…
😘
I do this with every interview I watch of his, after checking for the duration. I may as well just go in knowing I'ma watch lmbo...
Man,
I am 54 yrs old and these guys are my age and this was such a treat for me to watch and I cannot wait to watch it again with my family. So proud of these Men.
I agree being 53 this is special.
I'm 54 yrs young as well...I was up in Tallahassee when D- started at FSU This Is Righteous

This interview is an instant classic. Shannon and Sanders are the cream of the crop when it comes to football history and I’m glad they are here to guide the next generation forward in coaching and in media. That’s power right there
Man this whole interview is life! Joy and genuine friendship, this wasn't an interview, it was a conversation between friends with a camera present.
I'm based in the UK. This has nothing to do with European sports that I'm used to. I do not follow American sports. But I'm obsessed with Deion Sanders and what he is doing. Thank you internet. It's like a movie unfolding in front of my eyes. This man is an inspiration.
Same here!
He is a blessing to so many not on the field. I admire him as a father first. He is so hands on.
@@destinydia I'm trying VERY hard to not put him on a pedestal but we have so few heroes nowadays......
@@lollian2782 exactly. We need him in this world right now.
Perfectly said
Exactly why you should listen to both sides of the story than listen to people that don’t know what they are talking about and have done nothing for the community them selves
TELL THAT TO CNN JONES
Word up
This is a pure treat to have two of the greatest to play the game sit down together. And why Shannon was going in on Prime like that. This was everything!!
Echo your comments
2 sell outs coming together 🤣🤣 Skip showed the world Shannon is a boy and Prime sold out JSU for the worst job the NCAA offered. They knew what was coming and had to stop it
The story about the game after he almost lost his life and his sons put up 21 pts and won….had real tears in my eyes that’s so beautiful bro god bless this man
Them two HOF brothers are the definition of football. So much respect for these two. This made my whole day. 💯🏈
Both of these guys were real pros on the field, and now real pros off the field. I'm happy for both of them.
This interview made me feel like I was sitting in the room. Coach Prime is such a phenomenon who gave Jackson and JSU all your heart in spite of your health challenges. We were blessed to have you. Love you and pray for you. 💙🙏🏽👑
The Honesty meter is at a 100%... this is what we need in society today!
The chemistry, the one liners, the inside jokes, the mutual admiration and respect from Shay and Prime💪🏾man I didn’t want this interview to end!!! This, T.O. and Earthquake’s episode are my top three
Um, this was not that good. IMHO! But the Earthquake interview was pure gold!!! Shannon almost ruined it!!
“I had a gift, a work ethic because I saw my mama working, working, working.,” Deion Sanders. How can you not root for this man. He turns boys to men. Praying for much success at CU❤
Work ethic , work ethic and theove of God will see through no matter what
Me too!
Hard work beats talent. Every time.
Opnpop😊pjlkknkop😊😊p l
Your really said what his real gift is...He turns boys to men. All coaches will say that when recruiting someone's child. He DOES it!!!.
I could listen to Shay and Prime just sit there and talk about life all day.
This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. Deion has probably never given such an honest and detailed interview. Shay Shay is killing it, and hope he has continued success.
I live in Jackson and I have been a long time fan of deion so from the bottom of my heart Thank you coach prime.

Coach Prime’s faith in God and himself gives me the chills! I’m inspired to the point of tears listening to this man. I see why Jackson State is disappointed…but God…
Yes 🙌 ❤
Shannon makes every question meaningful. He is outstanding but also I could listen to Coach Prime all day.❤❤❤
Shannon Sharpe has brought the casual fan back to football.
Nothing pleases me more than to see two successful men who aren’t afraid to show love for one another. 💪🏽

This interview was incredible. The passion he has for coaching and all his players is inspiring. Just wow.
I LOVE THE INTERVIEW!! EXCELLENT🖤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🖤
Thank you Shannon for giving Coach Prime a voice to show people who he is and what he has done and not what he has not done.
I am one that hated on Deion for leaving Jackson state. BUT I am a fool. I did not know his history. He has connected with the community for YEARS. DOING MORE THAN me and other people in my community. What an ICON Deion is, HATS OFF
So why did you hate at all?
Much love.
UNC, you are just the best man....I appreciate the love you shown to Brother Sanders in the public eye.....can't beat your VODCAST.....its already #1

Thanks, Coach Prime. I attended three HBCUs. I worked, briefly, at another. My parents both graduated from HBCUs. We all appreciate you for raising the profiles of our schools. And thank you for reminding alumni that they are not giving.
His best interview to date! Prime is inspirational I’ve followed him since I was kid. One of the greatest role models out there on so many levels
Two of the most authentic/real men in the same room having a conversation! This is the best podcast yet unc!!
And motor mouth Shannon still at it.🤣
I'm sure this will be one of Shannon's most viewed episodes because Primetime still doing big things.
Shannon killed Prime at the beginning 😭😭 He funny af 💀 Great interview!!!

I love this conversation between these two legends. Uncle Shay is getting his flowers today too.

Coach Prime is a class act. I wish him and his family the best at Colorado 🦬
This man is a true warrior. A leader amongst us. I’m proud of him. 🙏 ❤to you Coach Prime/D.Sanders.
Lol.
YES GOD!❤️
Praise God🙌🏽🙏🏽😇
Amen to that 🎯
Amen you are right. Gotta praise God I even made it to 2023
I love that Coach Prime can be honest and open about the situation with Jackson now.
Agreed
💯💯💯
You can see all his videos talking about race and injustice...its clear he just used that bring attentiion to himself...thats why hes so good at social media..
Thank you Deion for allowing us to see your injuries, it said a lot about your physical, mental and spiritual healing! Be Blessed
I agree with what you said! 💯

When Deion said "hey Sterling that was your brother not me" 🤣🤣🤣🤣. That's love and respect
This interview is going to age extremely well.
Him saying his son came n told em“ daddy I need you” brung a smile to my face
RIP Rod!
