Thanks Colin, another nice one. At first I didn't really appreciate MX but over time it has turned out to be a solid choice, with tons of tweaking options. Of course not everyone wants that, but still. BTW: after editing in nano you can just hit Ctrl+x , it will ask you if yoiu want to save the file with the same name and a simple Enter is enough.
All you wanted to know about Auto-Login and More... Nice! :-P That was a nice thing to show that Xfce differs from distro to distro in the setting up one single task.. Once again you showed how MX Linux is always on top of things Xfce. :-D With Linux it is always having a task that need to be done like Auto-Login. When one researches how to do it they get the same answer in 4 different ways to do the same thing... Lol With that said it always starts with "this thing that needs to do that". Solving the issue at hand. Lots of great scripts have been written just for that purpose, to get something done, to make a single job easy... HaHaHaHAhA Thanks Colin, Cheers! LLAP
fun fact a lot of text editors will ask for your password to save the file when you can't edit as root. I don't know if mousepad does that, but gedit, kate, kwrite, and featherpad do.
Great information. Oddly, I have my power button set the same as you have shown and it doesn't work. Instead it asks even though I have it set to shutdown.
Thanks for the tips. If home computer and you're the only user, is it better to auto login or the password each time method? I mean if someone breaks into your house it's safer to use password each time method, is it not?
Hey Johan, I always use a password to login, just not for the plex server, I press the power button it turns on, I press the Power button it turns off, it only has movies on it and I'm logged out of my plex account, so it's all good.

Thanks peppe!! I had a feeling you could Ctrl+x and enter, I suppose it's just what I've got used to, I might try that next time :)
@@pctlc the power and joy of (some), habits ;-)
