The quilting community is absolutely the best! It includes people from all walks of life from many different age groups! They are most generous, welcoming and kind people I know! I’m glad you are able to continue your quilting journey while waiting for your tools and supplies arrive! I love your channel and always look forward to seeing your next adventure!❤
What a great friend Sue is! You can keep your hands and mind busy while making donation quilts. I wish you the best. Please make videos of you making the Irish Chain quilt. ❤
Hi Nancy - I agree, Sue is the best! And I'm working on the Irish Chain video right now! It might be a few more weeks until it's uploaded, but it's coming. Thanks for watching.
Blessings to your family in your new home. What a wonderful video on the generous nature of quilters. ❤❤❤ Michelle, I'm excited to see your plans. I've already made two quilts from your tutorials and am perfecting ny FMQ meandering. Right now I am working on 4 Quilts of Valor for my brothers and son. You inspire me. 🎶💐💖🫂
It’s brilliant to see how inspired you are from the generosity around you. I too have to use the kitchen and hardwood floor to cut and share quilts. But as quilters we are always able to find a way. I love the Canadian Quilts of Valour fabrics. Enjoy being back in Canada. X
Thanks Claire! I started out working on the kitchen table and using the kitchen counters and it has only been recently that I've been lucky to have my own sewing space. But you are right, when necessary, we make do! Thanks for watching and for your ongoing support.
I can’t wait to see what you create with the Canadiana fabric! Also looking forward to the Hills and Valleys baby quilt! Welcome home and how nice is it to have such generous friends!
Hi Kathleen - I have some ideas for the fabric, and the Quilts of Valour team have some ideas as well, so I'm keen to learn from them. And funny enough, I have some of this fabric in my own personal collection! I bought it as we left Canada for Australia thinking I'd make a quilt that reminded us of home. I haven't used it yet, but just might once the shipment arrives! Thanks for watching.
Thanks Debee! The amount of time and energy my quilty friends dedicate to others is really special and I'm thrilled to be able to help out in such a small way.
Hi Arvetta - I feel really lucky! To be able to source all the supplies, as well as the fabric and to contribute to some great causes - makes me happy!
I have no one in my off line life who quilts. I did not begin quilting until 2019. My family and professional life did not allow much time for any real hobbies. Luckily you can learn about anything on RUclips. There is a local group, and I do plan to meet up with them. Time has not permitted so far. My entre into sewing was to make maternity jumpers as there was very little available to professional women at the time. A linen or wool gabardine jumper had a perfect marrying with our bow blouses! We did not wear pants. Oh so long ago!
Hi Leisa - good for you for exploring a hobby all on your own! And I hope you do get a chance to meet us with your local quilt group. It is wonderful to share stories, inspiration and teachings. And I can tell from your comments that you have a lot of expertise to share as well. Thanks for joining this little corner of the quilting universe! I'm glad you're here.
Thanks Peggy! They really are the best! I'm thrilled to be able to borrow tools and supplies and to help contribute to some great causes. Thanks for watching.
Hi Liz - the withdrawal is real! I packed some crochet projects to keep busy, but nothing beats spending some time with fabric and thread. I'm grateful to be able to borrow supplies and contribute to some great causes. Thanks for watching.
Hurray a video from Canada! Glad you have such generous friends nearby. Miss seeing your “signature grey quilt” behind you. I bet it will feel great when all your belongings finally arrive in Canada.
Hi Jean! There are still a few other videos in the queue from Australia, and I've started to work on some new content with my mom, and hopefully the shipment (including the signature quilt!) arrives in August. Lots going on, but it is great to be able to see family and friends. Thanks for watching!
Hi Kelley - I'm thrilled to be able to help in even a small way to these efforts. I'll double check, but I think it is just a personal connection rather than a group for the northern and remote communities. Thanks for watching!
After spending 4.5 years in Australia, we decided to move back to Canada. We arrived about 3 weeks ago, but the shipment will take a little bit longer! Australia was really good to us, but there is no place like home! Thanks for watching.
Welcome home!!! Quilters are a wonderful species! XO
Hi Anne - they are some of the best people! I'm so grateful for the wonderful people I've met through this great hobby. Thanks for watching.
Those are the kind of friends everyone needs!
Hi FutureCat! Exactly! Quilters are the best!

Nice to see you again!
Generous friends.
Can’t wait to see what you do with the fabric.
Those charities will be thrilled I’m sure❤️🇬🇧
Thanks Marie! It is so good for my mental health to be sewing in my free time and I'm thrilled to be able to contribute to some good causes.
❤❤❤ That was super nice of them. It should be a win, win, win, for everyone. You are so lucky.
Hi Arvetta - I feel really lucky! To be able to source all the supplies, as well as the fabric and to contribute to some great causes - makes me happy!
Welcome back 🙋♀️🇨🇦
Quilters look after their own!
If one has a passion for a craft, we’ll make it happen.
I agree! I'm so thankful to have so many quilters to learn from, be inspired by, and borrow tools from! Thanks for watching.
just came back and so much fabric to work with. Great friends!
Right?!?! So much fabric = so much fun!! 😜
Glad to see the move went somewhat smoothly. It is always great to have stitchy friends who will help you.
Hi Betty! Quilty friends are the best! I'm happy to have my little temporary sewing space as we wait for the shipment to arrive.

Quilters take care of their own.
And I am so lucky to know so many great quilters! Thanks for watching.
Glad you made it safe and sound back to Canada. Quilting friends are the best!
Thanks Peggy! They really are the best! I'm thrilled to be able to borrow tools and supplies and to help contribute to some great causes. Thanks for watching.
Quilters are so generous. So glad you are able to get your sewing in! Ugh. Can't imagine the withdrawal pain!. LOL.

Wonderful
Thanks Sylvia! Thanks for watching.
Welcome Home, Michelle.🥰
Thanks Linda! We're glad to be back and keen for the shipment arrived to get even more settled. Thanks for watching.
So glad you did not have to go into complete withdrawal. Quilters are the best friends. Welcome to North America, again.
Thanks Cynthia! Crafty withdrawal is real! I packed some crochet projects to keep me busy, but nothing beats sewing. 😜
Welcome home!
Thanks Shawn! It's good to be back.
So glad to see you. How amazing are your friends as are you❤
Thanks Delia! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to sew and it is really fulfilling to be sewing for good causes. Thanks for watching.
@@bitspiecesquilting ❤️
So glad to hear you are back in Canada!
Thanks Vera! We're glad to be back, but keen to getting fully settled once the shipment arrives.
I am happy for you guys….!
Thanks Marq! It's been an adventure and we are looking forward to our shipment arriving... a few more weeks yet.
❤
Thanks Cynthia!
Quilters are so generous! Terrific idea to do baby quilts for remote communities. Is there a group that organizes this?
Hi Kelley - I'm thrilled to be able to help in even a small way to these efforts. I'll double check, but I think it is just a personal connection rather than a group for the northern and remote communities. Thanks for watching!
thx
Thanks for watching Jeane!
Welcome home! Where are you?
Hi Susan - I'm in Ottawa. We moved from one capital city to another!
I am also in Canada and would love to know if the baby quilt donations are organized through a group, and if so what is the group?
Hi Anna - I'll check, but I suspect it is through a person-to-person connection. Thanks for watching.
Why is your stuff in the middle of the ocean? Not familiar with the whole story.
