Great quilts and another great tutorial. I really like the way you break everything down when selecting your fabric choices. Would love a tutorial on designing your own mathemagical quilt.
Thanks Kim! The Mathemagica quilts are fun. The blocks are easy, but it takes a minute to get the layout sorted and then the path to sewing it together. But it's totally do-able! Thanks for watching.
Hi Michele! Love this layout. Please do a tutorial for it. I have some fabric that would be perfect for this. Very exciting, indeed!!! Great job. Thank you for sharing your talent with us! ❤
Hello, Michelle. Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations. I would love a more in-depth tutorial on making & construction of the Math-Magical Quilt. 💙
Thanks Janice! It was fun to work with mom and I'm always amazed at how fast a quilt top comes together when there are two of us working on it. Thanks for watching.
Love both quilts. Thinking the Mathemagical Quilt would be perfect for some toddler material I have, but thinking I need more than a picture to figure it out. So would definitely be interested in more details. Thank you! I think it is so awesome that you and your mom are able to quilt together, how very special. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks so much Diana! I really like sewing with my mom - it's amazing how quickly things go together when there are two of us working on them. I'll get the details of the mathemagical quilt together soon. Thanks for watching.
Yes please on the details on how to do the math. I just got asked to make a memory quilt with different fabrics of different sizes. This would be a perfect way to honour all these precious pieces. 😊
Thank you so much for your ideas. Details of the Mathemagical quilt would be great. I have grandchildren that are involved in several sports and the chandelier or mathematical quilts quilts would work out perfect.
I've been collecting comic book fabrics for a while now, and the mathemagicgal quilt pattern would be perfect for that. It would give it that comic book page look. Looking forward to that video!!
Hi John! Comic book fabric would be amazing in this pattern! I would look just like a page, as you say. I'll have a video and pattern ready soon. Thanks for watching.
Hi Violet! There is a free pattern for the chandelier-style quilt on my website (where the squares are 5x5 and the sashing and corners are 1.5) and I'm working on a video and pattern for the Mathemagical quilt. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
Another Star Wars fan here and I would love a more detailed tutorial on the math magical quilt. I want to make both quilts with my huge stash of Star Wars fabric. Thank you
Love all of them! The two inch squares in all one color makes a more dramatic impact. I would like a detail tutorial on the Bits and Boxes quilt. Thank you for great tutorials.
Thanks Ryan! The chandelier pattern has lots of potential for slight adjustments and I really like the smaller black accents in the most recent project. Can you imagine making really large squares?? These were 5 inches, but imagine something like 8 inches. Hummmm.....? Thanks for watching.
I love that you're sewing with your mom! I would love to have a tutorial on the Mathmagical Quilt! I typically sew with scraps and adapt many patterns to use scraps and this looks like one that I can do over and over and have each one be unique! Thanks so much and welcome home to Canada! - ❤from ON
Thanks so much Laurie! I'll put a Mathemagical tutorial together soon. It would be great for scraps. The Star Wars fabrics all coordinate because they are on theme, but at it's heart, it's really just a scrappy quilt - except all the scraps are Star Wars prints. Thanks for watching.
I would love you to do a tutorial on pixel quilts. I have to make a Minecraft one with all those characters. With the holidays coming I’m already behind. I have come to really love watching your tutorials and your style of teaching. I’m much older than you and I have learned many things from you.
Thanks Anna! I appreciate your kind words and glad you are enjoying my channel. I've never done a pixel quilt, but I'll give it some thought. Thanks for watching!
Hi Allie - This one was especially quick with two of us working together! I love the versatility of the pattern. Sometimes I make the centre blocks 4 inches, or 4.5 or 5 inches (in this case). Sometimes the smaller square are 1.5 (like my Walmart baby quilt) or 2 inches (in this case) or 2.5. Lots of possible combinations. Thanks for watching.
You have some amazing Star Wars fabrics. Both quilts look great but the Mathemagical quilt is my favourite and would be good for lots of different fabrics. I’ve got some Japanese style fabrics that would be perfect for this pattern. I’d love a more in-depth tutorial for this quilt please. 🙏
Hi Alexandra! Japanese fabrics would look amazing! Especially with black or navy lines to separate the pieces. So much potential! I'll have something ready in a few weeks. Thanks for watching.
Lovely quilts, and yes please to a detailed tutorial on the ‘Mathemagical’ quilt. I’ve been trying to work out the block construction and placement ever since you posted the video about quilting the Blue Hawaii version. It’s an ideal pattern for using some larger prints which I don’t want to cut up too much.
Thanks so much! And glad you like these. I'll put a tutorial together soon - it really is mathemagical. Once you get the numbers right, it is simple to make the blocks and then the layout possibilities are endless! Thanks for watching.
I love to see how the ‘random’ patterns and colors can cohesively come together into a beautiful quilt that does not make my brain cringe when I look at it- it is extremely pleasant to look at! Please give us more details! They look great.
Thanks so much Jessica! I think one of the secrets is to have a bit of a "theme". In this case, it is Star Wars. But it would also work if your theme was Christmas, or spring garden, or halloween, or french provincial (blues, yellows and whites). Limiting the "scrappy" to a theme helps with cohesion, in my view. Thanks for watching.
Hi Michelle! You've certainly been hard at work! I'd love to see a tutorial on the math magical quilt. Your "Blue Hawaii" quilt is gorgeous by the way! In our house, although of course we love Star Wars, my husband and I are actually bigger Star Trek fans. My daughter, however, was raised on Star Wars - the first movie came out when she was about 6 or 7 and she's been a die-hard fan ever since.
Hi Beth - I hope the two universes don't collide too often! 😜 I've been thrilled to hear from so many fans of both and I'll definitely put a tutorial together soon. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Betty! I have some favourite patterns that I find myself always coming back to. These ones are great for showing off the fabrics. Thanks for watching.
Hi Michelle. What a fun and happy family you have😊. As always love the quilts, would really enjoy and appreciate a tutorial on the “Mathemagical quilt - maths not being my strong point. Best wishes, Beth from Aus🇦🇺
Thanks Brenda! There is a pattern for the chandelier style quilt on my website - it's called the Walmart Baby quilt. www.bitsandpiecesquilting.com. And I'll get a pattern and tutorial together for the mathemagical quilt soon. Thanks for watching.
Hi Helen! I've been amazed at how much Star Wars fabric is actually available. Thanks for your comment. I'll put a video and pattern together soon. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Suzanne! I'm sure I was inspired by a quilt or photo I saw somewhere and once you get the numbers right, they are fun to put together. I'll put together a tutorial soon. Thanks for watching!
Oh, yes, please do a tutorial on the Math-Magical quilt. Love the “first” Star Wars movies (eps IV, V and VI) but I prefer Star Trek: TNG. Make it sew!
Hi Barbara! You can get dimensions for my Walmart Baby Quilt (chandelier quilt) from my website at: www.bitsandpiecesquilting.com and I'll put together a tutorial and pattern for the Mathemagical quilt soon. Thanks for watching.

Thanks Sharron! I'll put something together soon. Thanks for watching.
Awesome quilts!!!!! I can definitely see Kaffe fabric in the mathemagical xxx
Hi Alexandra! Kaffe fabrics would look amazing. With something besides white for the lines between....hummm.... Thanks for watching!
@@bitspiecesquilting I agree, a saturated colour would be better than white for sure.
Yes please on the details on how to do the math. I just got asked to make a memory quilt with different fabrics of different sizes. This would be a perfect way to honour all these precious pieces. 😊
Hi Marta - that sounds like a perfect example for a pattern like this! I'll have a video and pattern ready in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

These look great. I'm working on 2 quilts for my grandchildren. I still need to pick a pattern for my grand son's. Either of these might work.
Hi Violet! There is a free pattern for the chandelier-style quilt on my website (where the squares are 5x5 and the sashing and corners are 1.5) and I'm working on a video and pattern for the Mathemagical quilt. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

Thanks Elaine! They were fun to make and I like how they showcase the fabric. Thanks for watching.
