Thanks for the Contention tutorials. I am there quite a lot, but some mechanics or features are quite complicated and the FAQ PDF document tells you that something is possible, but not necessarily HOW to do it exactly. You're the only one who does these server specific tutorials.
Loving this series.. I'm learning a lot with it. Keep it up. My issue is when ever I drop low in altitude I get a stinger in my face. I must learn what areas are a no go and what areas I can prosecut enemies
@@ds6899 part of the campaign's design is you can't be sure where the enemy are, so low level will always be a risk. But I'm general the areas approaching farps and airfields are the most likely that player-dropped defences will be. And always expect them at airfields. But yeah, they catch me very often
Sorry this is unrelated but I was curious, what are your books about? I know you primarily make DCS content so my first thought is that they're about pilots, but I'm likely wrong about that.
Yes, it should be. Just make sure to set up the seeker head when arming to match the laser code of the laser, as I don't believe the F-5 can change it mid flight. The F-5 lacks any sort of CCIP or CCRP so the pilot still has to make a roughly accurate drop, but the higher altitude, the more room you give the bomb to maneuver
@@bradw1808 sorry then, I might be wrong. It's very odd for the I-16 to be the only airframe without access to the Comms menu. Think it's an oversight on ED's end
@Dr_Jebus , I've heard that the aircraft just did not come with a radio. That really puts it at a disadvantage compared to the others in 80's contention at least, including being purchased.

Are you sure you can use the I-16. As soon as I take off the "/" is no longer available. (Keep in mind I'm new player)
@@bradw1808 a lot of aircraft have different Comms buttons for ground and air (I do not know why), normally the air one is LAlt+/
