Wow two beautiful guitars and I must say I like the telly more but it's cool you have them both and you deserve them you're a cool guy... I really like the longevity of your relationships shows humility maturity pretty incredible
Absolutely first class episode! Many thanks to Brian for being such a great guest, and as usual, to Marc and Dave for making it happen and being such great hosts. 😎
Another great show Marc & Dave! I really enjoyed hearing Brian's stories of starting out and taking those chances even if they say no. Also, Brian kind of looks like Andy Timmons. They could pass as brothers. Keep these shows coming, I'm one of those truck drivers...LOL!
I'm not a big Melody Maker fan but had a great pawn shop find recently 65 Gibson MM unmolested no breaks just finish checking Something I want to say is that you got to be a good dude Cool enough to get along So important to stay involved w the great artist's
Thanks for answering my question Tone-Talk. My favorite channel on RUclips, I love gear talk. Can’t wait for the next live video. Hopefully you guys can get Jake E. Lee again or George Lynch. They are my guitar heroes.
Wow that 59 is identical to the Standard I just picked up Nice wide flame Pleasantly surprised how close Gibson is getting to the real thing 8.4 lb's as well
I suppose I'm in the average demographic at 52 years old and male, but yea I take the entire show in...often twice...Jake E Lee...over and over...as good as a movie! I remember the first time I heard an Egnater and this amp/guitar/music history is outstanding. I was scrolling through the ones I haven't seen yet and seen Paul McCartney's Guitar player...click click click the button lessa go! Thank you all! Would be really great to call that Tele's former family farn and visit with it...maybe play a tune and take a youtube vid there where the grandfather might have played.
Not only is Paul an incredible musician but also has a sense for talent, considering Abe, Rusty and Brian have been with him for years. Kind of like his first band?
Thought's for some guest's? Zakk Wylde, his side guy Dario Lorina. Johnny Hiland, Carlos Cavazo, Michael Angelo Batio, Rudy Sarzo, Billy Gibbons, Chris Poland, Rusty Cooley, Brad Gillis ?
I am so bummed I didn't make the live broadcast so I could ask him about the BTR 23. How could you guys not ask him about his signature amp? Hello - it's the Tone Talk show!
@@tone-talk I'd just love to hear more than the paragraph that's out there on the /13 webpage. Divided by 13 operates mostly on word of mouth so there is precious little info out there. What was the original inspiration ?(I've heard Marshall). What is unique about the amp? How did they land on the tube choices (KT-88's). How does he like to run it. I've never found a single interview where Brian gives the deep dive on his amp. This would have been the place to do it if I only I hadn't dropped the ball!!
Here you go Mike. From Brian: Thanks for passing along the question. It’s based on a 50-100w early Marshall and takes a few cues from a Marshall Major. It features KT66 tubes, slightly smaller body than KT88 but similar tonal characteristics. It has a very musical master volume and a push-pull gain knob For additional gain when needed. It cleans up great too! BTR designation = my initials, 23 is wattage. Here’s their description www.dividedby13.com/btr23.html I have mine set to 12 o clock treble and mids, bass at 11 o clock. Gain set to 2pm, with gain knob pulled on one of two amps, with master volume set to 9pm on both heads live. All the best, Brian
Home Depot -yeah I work there and yeah you're right there's nobody around to help you, you know why? because most people have left and went and found better paying jobs!!!
Very lucky with my 2019 Standard 8.4 lbs....nice wide subtle flame Very happy with it Weight was one of the most important considerations on that purchase
Beatles were a Tavistock project, as was the entire UK invasion. Theadore Adorno was a real person who really was their specialist in mass mind control using music. Paul McCartney died in 1966, and that may have been an intentional part of the plan? Supposedly his he was decapitated, impossible in a car accident, so they just did that to traumatize the young fans. I used to know Brian Ray, a nice guy and great guitar player, so I'm happy for him to be successful, I TOLD him he would be famous someday in 1973 - I knew he had talent. But McCartney and Beatles are the most overrated musicians in history. When John Lennon was asked who his favorite band was in the 1960's, he said: "Procol Harum, they are much better than the Beatles" (being honest). It was all planned at Tavistock, Theadore Adorno wrote some of their songs, and did the album covers for them, hence "SGT. Peppers" cover, the butcher coat with bloody babies cover, etc. It was about getting young people to turn on their parents, get into drugs, and like music that was dumbed-down. Before that we had great jazz and blues, R&B and soul, rock is mostly satanic. I have more appreciation for John Lennon and George Harrison than McCartney/Billy Shears/? (there may have been THREE?).
I love Brian interviews......what a collection he has.....😯
As someone who also remembers '64 very well I never get tired of hearing Brian's amazing story. Pinch me, I'm playing with McCartney. Great job guys.
