Hello, Could, should, would you introduce a battery charger to an off grid solar setup with this exact charge controler, so as the generator is on to run the Lawnmower you could take the chance to charge the batteries too, (12v lead acid leisure batteries), especially on the days the sun does not shine. If so, would you disconnect the charge controller? I'd be wanting maximum amps like 6 or 12amps going into the batteries during the 15 mins of grass cutting.

It will work....but be careful for excess current . You can use any used /second hand rechargeable battery with correct voltage to remove the flow of electric. If you don't want to use a battery then make sure to remove the panel from sunlight after phones charges.
@@Sam-ij2sd a 12v solar system needs a 12v battery connected to the controller first and then you wire in the panel. You cannot use a basic cheap controller wired to a panel and draw power from it, it simply doesn't work. I don't know why but I have tried it myself and ended up "letting out the magic smoke" which is the term used for frying the controller and witnessing a pop noise followed by a small puff of black smoke. I then had to wait an extra month before I could afford to buy a battery along with a new controller. Lesson learned.

I do 4 AWG gauge wires from the battery/s to the charge controller and from the batteries to the inverter (these are high amps/current) and 10-12 AWG gauge from the panel/s to the charge controller. 14 AWG wires from my 4 100W panels get hot at the splice connections aka fire hazard. I've seen these panels push 10A. Think about expansion, too. You may want to add panels and/or batteries like I did, so go with bigass wires as you can afford.
When you use these, there's the USB slots that are supposedly for a small load. I had a question about that; does the USB have to be a small load or can it be a small incoming power solar slot also? (There are solar panels that have USB connections). Hope someone can reply to this. Thank you.
The usb is wired so that it outputs the specific 5v, it’s one way since it’s not monitored by the controller. Like you won’t be able to tell how many amps is being used by the device connected to the usb port

The panel is switched to open, so no current flows from the panels anywhere. When the charge condition is needed, and the panel has the correct voltage, then the panel charges the battery. The controller is in charge of the switching.
I had almost the same problem . I've got a sealed battery and the controller settings was on b02(gel) . I couldn't set it more than 12,6 Volt .Once I changed to b01 went to 14.4 Volt. Many thanks! 🙏

I think solar controller 10 A (not 10Ah) - ver. 10 A ( this for 12v solar panel) can connect 10A x 12V=120 W (solar panel max) - also can connect solar panel 18V but max 120 W solar panel !!!!

I've got a kings version of one of these and can't set the lifepo4 option, but use it on the lead acid setting anyway, seems to work ok
No charge controller is required for Jackery type solar generators. Plug into it, directly from the solar panel. The charge controller is built in.

you use just clips to connect the battery - what happens in one clip goes away while the panel is connected? will the controller destroyed?
will turn off, unless you short them nothing should happen to it

Make sure you have the right amperage for the battery bank

if you want 110VAC then you need an inverter. this is 12-24VDC.

They do not work IN A HOT ENVIRONMENT ABOVE 85° SCREEN GOES OFF SO YOU HAVE TO PUT IT IN THE GROUND IN THE BATTERY BOX OR SOMETHING😀
