Jedi have a serious problem with stuffing away their emotions, and the Sith have a problem with being controlled by their emotions. They're both fools with utterly horrid philosophies.
In the prequels they may "stuff" them away. But the whole point of balance is maintaining composure/harmony with ones emotions without succumbing to basic instincts/desires and being dominated by them like the Sith. That's not stuffing them away.
Even a lot of these early KOTOR whatnot Jedi seem to have this problem. How often do we see them lose their cool, and get angry and attack (especially for light side Sith Warrior playthroughs, from what I've seen)? That's because they don't have a healthy relationship with their emotions, trying to hide it away until it, of course, breaks through. Prequel era Jedi are even worse in this regard. Luke looked to be going a better way, but then Book of Boba Fett happened and both him and Ahsoka look like fools in it.
@@Canuovea Take RPG options with a grain of salt. A Sith Warrior taking all these lightside options aren't exactly lore friendly. They just provide options for the player to do whatever they want. Like in KOTOR how you can make Revan claim the title and rulership of Sith Lord when in reality that's not how his official story went. Ever heard the expression that no one is perfect? Because the Jedi certainly aren't. It's the whole point of maintaining balance and harmony with ones self. You're going to have slip ups every now and then but as long as you recognize it and correct it you continue to maintain balance. What you're talking about applies to some Jedi but definitely not all or most.
I've been playing The Old Republic (the online star wars newly on steam) and just got to the cult of Revan. It's really fun. The microtransactions are kind of a bummer but the story is good and seems like there is lots to do without paying.
7:25 this is one of the things i felt was weird about the series. they admitted revan and malek were on this world and the map is like right around the corner from the temple. even if they werent trained here theres no way they didnt know the temple was here. why would they stay in the temple, with no defenses, knowing malek was after them? its not like they forgot where things were just because they "fell to the darkside."
A one of a kind story, a man(or woman) that sacrificed who they were, sacrificed millions to save trillions. A story that transcends Star Wars to tell a lesson that in life you have to make the hard choices for yourself and for others if it means attaining a greater goal. To become the villain to stop an even greater threat.
I agree with you. It's both sad and disappointing that fans don't understand Revan character. A Force user who turned out of necessity to save the galaxy.
Man isnt the KOTOR IP so awsome! A true deep dive into george lucas stars and understanding of the force, made by people who loved honouring it. None of this disney agenda filled sequal crap, i miss the bioware games so much!
I also kinda thought it more about overcoming the negatives by a positive existing. Such as... As long as you have peace of mind your emotion does not rule you. If you understand your ignorance you have knowledge. If you can find internal serenity then you will not surcome to your passion. Etc etc. Essentially. To seek out (there subjective) good or light side and turn away evil (again there view of evil) dark side. Essentially i think they are trying to say peace is the opposite of emotion. So to have peace, people need to control there emotions.
Also love your videos listening to you speak is just amazing I could listen to any audio book if you read it regardless of content. I like to use your videos as inspiration for DnD DM sessions, youd make an AMAZING DM.
woot first comment, love your videos man never stop!
Thanks mate, day brightener!
Revan is my favorite person in star wars. So happy to see videos on him.
Exactly! Exactly! I knight you now and open up an invite to our new Grey Academy #wehavecookies
@@darthrevan2410 Grey is god awful fan fiction that contradicts the very basic foundational aspects of Star Wars.

your revan/KOTOR videos never cease to be both super entertaining, but also super informative as well! Keep it up, my guy!
Thanks mate!
Dash is a great narrator and story teller. Wished you could do more on the Mandalorian. Hopefully you’ll be there for the Obi-Wan.
Thanks so much mate! Excited to watch the series!

"You are everything and at the same time 'nothing', Revan, and I, am the disciple of 'nothing'!!Muhahaha *cough*rasp*cough* "
I like how indepth and philosophical you got with this. There are a lot of life lessons I feel that can come out of KOTOR.
Thanks mate!

This was quite the game wish that the new movies followed the code.

That sucks 😔
Thumbs up! Thank u
I always thought there is no emotion only peace they mean inner peace. As in you need a calm mind to see things clearly?

Oh for sure, I was more pointing to the fact that both light & dark tenets are written as if the light & dark arent interconnected
@@bunnymaster7507 Thanks mate! I actually researched DM's on how they tells stories to shape how I present them to be closer to that kind of content.
