I was wondering why nobody else said this! It's not even fully black, and the lines aren't crisp or smooth at all.
Right? I'm not very knowledgeable of art so I was worried that maybe I didn't get it but it looked like crap. Glad, I'm not the only one that thought that.

Because I know, when I'm doodling... The ONE THING I'm worried about is how much visual surface area my pencil-thin pencil takes up. It's like, "unngh! I wish I could pick up my pencil and look under it but it's taking up ALL this SPACE."
its mostly the fact that your hand covers the space not the tip of the pen, so supposedly the fact that where you hold the pen is away from the tip you can see the drawing or writing better.

For the way I hold my pen, pencil, crayon, stylus whatever, this actually looks very helpful. My hand always covers what I’m doing, then I can’t see or it messes the whole thing up. But if I try to hold the thing in any other way my hand cramps

This pen would definitely smear, it’s oil based which doesn’t dry fast. A good quality water based pen would solve the issue. Left handed by the way

I have a pen like that! It’s for left handed people so the spiral notebook thing doesn’t get in the way!
But for right handed people the spiral notebook thing can get in the way, too. It depends on what side you’re writing/drawing on.
True, true it just seems to affect lefties slightly more because you tend to right on the left side of the page so for righties only the edge of there arm would be on the spiral whereas lefties there hand is smack dab in the middle of it.

that thing sucks. also, extra thingy, have you ever had a paper you had finished writing a bunch of stuff on and just dragged an eraser through it, maybe written something in the lead you smudged over the whole thing (if you use pencils, that is)
@@kierah2050 As a left handed person it freaking SUCKS writing in spiral notebooks/binders. I ended up switching to loose leaf and folders because I got sick of it lol. Slowly working on getting used to the notebooks though!

Though, some art was made to look exactly like other things. Of course, I’m not entirely sure if he intended it to look like Dr. Doofenschmirtz, it could’ve been on accident. I haven’t watched him much but it’s probably just his style. :/ I’m not saying it’s bad to have an opinion though, as they have their own opinions and it’s ok to speak it.

Only that this pen design is not bad. This pen particularly doesn't really look great but the angled tip design is called oblique and it is often used in calligraphy. Not for the 'ergonomics' or some shit but because of better pressure control and sometimes just feel.

You could also just tilt your hand lol. I’m an illustrator and have never needed a tool like that. I was taught to just rotate the canvas if you have particular trouble with getting lines straight in a certain direction or whatever XD also the trademark thing was kinda silly! To anyone curious, the pen is actually very comfortable and easy to use. It feels good in the hand. However it's near impossible to consistently find ink refills, and I'm fairly certain the company went under a few years back. It is definitely better for office work than anything else.

Bruh I love sketching in ballpoint pens sometimes. But I can also make some crisp looking stuff in nicer markets like Faber-Castell, Prismacolor, and copics. When I first started drawing, my art looked terrible with Faber-Castell. Nice quality art supplies don't inherently make art better
