Buy yourself a clear plastic measuring jug. Dirt cheap. Pour out 1.5ltrs from your new 5ltr oil can. Put the 3.5 left into car. Pop the rest back in can.

Oh, then every two oil changes @ 5litres you only need to buy a 1ltr Triple QX bottle.
