Thank you very much! 🤘 If you attempt to do this yourself, I would recommend being a better welder than I am or not using a flux-core welder, or preferably both. 😂 I had a hard time getting it to seal properly, and honestly I'm not even sure it is sealed properly. Thanks for the sub! ✌️
This was exactly what I was looking for to help me build my tank. Down to the flux core welding too! Good to know it’s possible, may look to borrow something nicer though haha
I’m happy that the video helped you! ✌️ Even though it’s possible to do with flux-core, and I did it, I would highly recommend to get another welder if possible. It’s super hard to get it to seal and the welds are not super pretty. 😅 If you make a tank for yourself I would love to see it! 🤘
Love this. I personally do everything with a cheap old school Chicago Electric flux core welder, just to spit in the faces of all the popular people that make fun of the people that can only afford cheap stuff. Excellent job
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it! It's not about the tool but how you use it. I'm not saying I'm a great user of the tool, but I'm doing my best. 💪🤘
Well it ain't gonna win any prizes for beauty but if its functional then I'd say it's a win . Top Mark's for at least having a go and holding in there till it was done . Why theres a way theres a result . Well done
I fully agree! This was my first attempt at making a gas tank and I think that is visible in the end result. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't my last attempt, maybe the next one won't be prize worthy either, but maybe a step closer at least. Most of all I hope I managed to inspire somebody else to try something that seems impossible. Thank you for taking your time to watch the video and to leave some encouraging words. Have a great day! 🤘✌️
@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot thanks for reply , it's nice when the comment gets a response . . I've not made a tank myself but have done many other things over the years . A lot of folks fail because they just don't like how its turning out as they go , all usually expecting something amazing at the halfway point . Credit to yourself attempting something and using the gas less machine . I'm sure you have watched a shed load of videos off RUclips on how to use and set up the mig, you have my respect for doing the tank and videoing the results personally I would recommend a thinner grade plate but not sure how that would fair with the gasless machine , it would be more malleable fir bending and forming the shape . Well I've subscribed so I can now follow how you get on . Good luck with the next one and thanks
I think you are right, expecting things to look professionally built after your first try. That probably won't happen, because you are not a professional, you are just an insane guy having a go at it in your garage. At least in my case. 😉 I did burn through enough on this thicker steel to not wanting to go any thinner. 😀 But with a proper welder, it would be fun to pick up some metal shaping tools and having a go at making something a bit more advanced. Thank you for subscribing and following along!
Thank you, good sir! Thank you for giving me hope and inspiration to build a gas tank for my bike (cafe/rocket) as well! I've a flux core for welding, and oxy/acetylene for brazing. Cheers from NorCal/SF Bay Area USA.
Thanks for your comment, feels great to be able to inspire! I think brazing would be a cool technique to try. Let me know how you get on with your tank! ✌️
I did a peanut tank too, but im having problems with the cap, where i can fin the cap kit? 6:11 (The piece that goes in the tank and the cap) Thank you
That's awesome! I actually picked it up at a local motorcycle parts dealer, sorry I can't provide you with a link. But I bought the weld-in part and the cap separately. I hope you'll find one!
I love your channel because you get out of your comfort zone along with what youve got on hand. Like the rest of us animals. Keep it up
Thank you so much! In my world that's like the best comment one can get.
Have an awesome day! 🤘
Love this! I'm planning on building one myself, just subscribed

One welder to rule them all! 😉 I'm happy you found the video entertaining! Thank you for the support! Have a great day! ☮️🍻✌️🤘
@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot 🤣 It's not just entertainment, I admire your determination & bowing to yourself for making the impossible possible! 🙏🏻☮️🍻
Thank you so much for those kind words! ☮️🍻✌️🤘
@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot You 're welcome my friend! Have a great week! 🤜🏻🤛🏻🦾🤘🏻🍻☮️
I *love* this ugly, ugly tank! I'm building a chopper and I want to make as much of it myself, so you have given me a great idea! Thanks!
Haha, thank you! I'm glad I could help! 👍✌️🤘
How thick is it? The metal sheet!
It's 1,2 mm.
I did a peanut tank too, but im having problems with the cap, where i can fin the cap kit? 6:11 (The piece that goes in the tank and the cap) Thank you

Use 1/16 6013 stick on steel .
I'm not tough enough to use stick on this thin steel. 😀🔥
part 2. how does it look in yellow ? :)
Yeah, I never got to that. 😅 But there will be a yellow coffin tank in the future!
