I'm self employed, and I work with lots of businesses. Everyone needs to know this about people who say "no one wants to work anymore" -- not only do they not want to pay their workers, they don't want to pay their bills, or third party contractors who perform services for them. Their greed is never enough.
You are describing Donald Trump who is the only person I know of with six bankruptcies and 15 failed businesses and a failed college all because he never paid a single bill or contractor. He personally put 1800 family businesses out of business for taking the chance to work with him. I recall he owed somebody $500,000 for putting glass in a bldg. He knew he could refuse to pay and then barely pay pennies when it got to court he's hideous. When people say like speaker of the House Mike Johnson that God lifted him there I point the second Kings which talks about hundreds of kings that did what was abominable. Apparently God has nothing to do with promotions

That's illegal in most places. Also if you get 15 minutes docked, that means you don't have to work for 12 more minutes. Clock in, turn around chill in the car or the lunch room or something. When your boss asks what you're doing, remind him your shift hasn't started because of the rounding.

The unknown and the scary unknown are so different. What the topography of Saturn is unknown and doesn’t affect my life right now. Where my income would be without my job is a scary unknown.
Honestly, this is what I strive for at work. We have union breaks. Not an ice cube’s chance in hell for a manager to pressure you to work through a single one of your breaks, paid or unpaid. 5:50-6am, 8:30-8:40am, 10:15 - 10:45am, 1-1:10pm. I usually head to the bathroom 5 minutes before break to wash my hands and face, or use it if I have to. Then when I come back I take my sweet time putting all my PPE back on, sometimes up to 10 minutes. I can easily stretch a 10 minute paid break into 25 minutes of downtime.
I have a pretty low-pressure job, I set my own schedule, 20 hours a week, no supervision, and honestly I have a work week similar to what HC describes 😅 Imagine if workers got to decide when to take breaks, crazy idea: They might take breaks when they're tired and start working again when they feel ready.
I love how you always count the breaks in history books but never in modern times Sweden loves applauding that we have laws that make the workweek max 40h. Sure the workweek is max 40h if that lunch doesn’t count even if it’s at the office. It should count because it’s on the clock still. But it doesn’t sound as great to say Sweden has a 45h workweek I can’t work 9h a day, I just can’t My brain counts the lunch
@@thewhitefalcon8539 Idk about Sweden, but here is an anecdotal experience from Finland: I was working as a truck driver for this company and I used to not keep lunch breaks, because I wanted to go home earlier. My boss said that I have to keep the break since my work day was over 6 hours (7-10h). We logged our work time on a mobile phone and my employer's office was like 10 km away from the terminal so I only communicated with my boss through the phone. I just logged the lunch break, but didn't keep it lol. I just logged off at home 30 min later than I actually stopped working. Work rules are kinda weird in Finland since every sector have their own rules (wage, time, etc.) and vehicle drivers, truck especially, have stricter rules with breaks ans stuff. So about the lunch break, I guess it depends on what is said in the "työehtosopimus", which google translates as collective bargain. I would translate it as work condition (dis)agreement, since the unions are a joke here. Every sector by law must have one, but they are pretty much lap dogs of employers. Sure, we have strikes all the time, but they don't really amount to anything when they only last couple day or weeks at max and then it's time to go back to work. Sure, the way we have set up our work life here in social democracies is a bit better for the workers, but it's not enough. The capital growth requires exploitation from somewhere. Here a bit from the workers and a lot from the global south. And the capital is never sated with its hunger for exploitation. It is very clear that social democracy is not the answer. It is clear especially now when the employer's associations have gone mask off with their rhetoric when we have the most right wing government since the wars. The governments first plan of action was to start coming up with ways to start cutting workers rights. They plainly said this in front of media.
That 2495 hours is lower is crazy. That means if he streams every week of the year, he streamed 48 hours a week. I know it’s just streaming, but goddamn. Man’s got a problem
In northern sweden we have loads of really old burial sights and shit, that are where they were found. There are hiking trails where you can see burial rocks and things explaining it. I know ”the archeological trail” by the border to västerbotten There’s even an app that shows you where old finds are
This is exactly right I work for myself whether it's in music or delivery driving and I can't stand to be gone more than 3 hours. That's why I used to wait tables too in my younger days because a shift usually was 3 to 4 hours. Since I work for myself if I need to work 8 hours I can still come home several times
Imagine that, the beginning of the end was when a sociopath and the church agreed to invent an alarm clock (the church bell in service of capitalism)... Seems that Jesus-on-the-cross-necklaces might actually have a deeper meaning after all...
I spammed this vid in his chat 2 hours after it came out lol, Historia Civilis is literally a top 5 RUclipsr all time, his Julius Caesar vids are some of the best media I’ve ever watched. Him making this video was a real shock for me because of how different it is from his usual content, but considering how smart this guy is and his depth of historical knowledge it should’ve been obvious he would be an anti capitalist. It is impossible to study history critically and not eventually become an anti capitalist.
What an amazing video. Angering, motivating, inspiring. I swear, the time is getting (relatively) near to being ripe for significant reaction against capitalists/capitalism by workers and the common people. Not revolution time yet, but a strong reaction, perhaps. The time is *now* to prepare, comrades, for that event!
Suck it bourgeoisie, quiet quitting is just going back to the old ways 😂 squeezing out every drop of profit like a casting couch audition, at the expense of the worker is antithetical to efficiency
Real talk, i used to be the best employee my job had on night shift working alone, replaced a two person team and wasnt too bad a work load since i could stop and rest and vibe out when i needed too. When they hired a manager to watch literally only me at night my productivity tanked. Took me twice as long because i was constantly exhausted from the heavy equipment and not being get rest between tasks. Instead of letting me be when he quit suddenly, they moved me to morning shift and i managed to figure out some places to hide around the factory alone to rest and got my productivity mostly back. Mfs lost me and my respect when they denied me my promised raise and promotion because "Well we technically rehired you when you moved to day shift so now you have to wait 6 more months" quit on the spot. last I heard they still struggle to fill either position for more than a month at a time and are at risk of losing their cash cow contract from the factory due to not meeting it for over year.
Hasan talking about the keyboard has me thinking. I wonder if I could make one from scratch. Like mine the ore, process it, everything. It would be like a lifetime project
One of the first worker strikes was during the end of the Bronze Age. Paid slaves demanded to be paid and did a sit in strike when building Ramesses the thirds tomb. It is depicted and written on the tomb. The pharaoh was very proud of how he handled it. Most recorded documents throughout human history are of business transactions
Been watching hasan for a minute now and I think he could moonlight as a voice actor , the range of different impressions and shit he can do is pretty broad 😂

I worked at a call center for 4 years with a huge emphasis on “metrics” where the time of the call was more important than anything else and something that people got fired over. It was so incredibly stressful for me and I haven’t worked since I quit because I don’t ever want to be exploited like that ever again. But yea I guess I’m just lazy

I can easily stretch a 10 minute paid break into 25 minutes of downtime.
that’s some shit out of Last Exit To Brooklyn. the more i learn about unions the more i realise how great that book portrays em
I have a pretty low-pressure job, I set my own schedule, 20 hours a week, no supervision, and honestly I have a work week similar to what HC describes 😅
Imagine if workers got to decide when to take breaks, crazy idea: They might take breaks when they're tired and start working again when they feel ready.
What job do you do
17:41 *monarchy looks away loveless
That video basically sums up my day to day stress in life and work-based depression.
I was watching this historia video instead of the stream yesterday while he was watching this lol
I liked his channel for detailed explanations of obscure Roman traditions, but now I like it because he's rad as fuck.
I love how you always count the breaks in history books but never in modern times
Sweden loves applauding that we have laws that make the workweek max 40h. Sure the workweek is max 40h if that lunch doesn’t count even if it’s at the office. It should count because it’s on the clock still. But it doesn’t sound as great to say Sweden has a 45h workweek
I can’t work 9h a day, I just can’t
My brain counts the lunch
Is it mandatory to take lunch? I used to eat lunch at my desk. If they want me to work at lunch to count it as working time, I will.
"Tell me which king had Air Conditioning" got me 🤣
In northern sweden we have loads of really old burial sights and shit, that are where they were found.
There are hiking trails where you can see burial rocks and things explaining it. I know ”the archeological trail” by the border to västerbotten
There’s even an app that shows you where old finds are
I hate that the bot channel's video has so many more views than this one
I report that channel every time I see their videos and youtube still floods my feed with them
Yeah report and ask RUclips not to recommend their videos.
What channel is the bot one
@@yotsuba22 HasanAbi Capital
@@yotsuba22what ^ said + "Hasanabi Huge"
Also don't be sad! They bot their views as well 😊
Amazing editor notes btw keep up the good work!
This is exactly right I work for myself whether it's in music or delivery driving and I can't stand to be gone more than 3 hours. That's why I used to wait tables too in my younger days because a shift usually was 3 to 4 hours. Since I work for myself if I need to work 8 hours I can still come home several times
27:15... wait... Hasan doesn't know about shady El-Nasr?
Babe! New Babylonian lore fan just got onboard!
Imagine that, the beginning of the end was when a sociopath and the church agreed to invent an alarm clock (the church bell in service of capitalism)... Seems that Jesus-on-the-cross-necklaces might actually have a deeper meaning after all...
I’ve loved this channel for 6 years, I’m so fucking happy someone finally gave it to a bigger audience. He should be put out a lot more
Once I had one of my coworkers make fun of me for paying union dues and tell me (unironically) that I could've bought a new XBox 😂😂😂
Stealing is such a bad word we prefer permanently borrowing without asking
People just wouldn’t even show up on Mondays and Tuesdays? fuck that’s based
Big fan of the og copper complaint
He sent him just the box with the logo on it
Time truly is an oppressive hierarchy.
Abolish time for being an unjustifiable hierarchy.
Cancel time.
Seize the means of production, of clocks.
Fuck time
its crazy how different cultures adapted to similar working shcedule and structrure, im from morocco & this is litteraly every informal job here
I spammed this vid in his chat 2 hours after it came out lol, Historia Civilis is literally a top 5 RUclipsr all time, his Julius Caesar vids are some of the best media I’ve ever watched. Him making this video was a real shock for me because of how different it is from his usual content, but considering how smart this guy is and his depth of historical knowledge it should’ve been obvious he would be an anti capitalist. It is impossible to study history critically and not eventually become an anti capitalist.
New hasan merch should be “I ❤ Stunlocks”
New to his channel, what exactly is a stun lock? I’m not up on all the hip things the youth are talking about.
What's crazy is even now workers still only work about 4-6 in the office jobs
What an amazing video. Angering, motivating, inspiring. I swear, the time is getting (relatively) near to being ripe for significant reaction against capitalists/capitalism by workers and the common people. Not revolution time yet, but a strong reaction, perhaps.
The time is *now* to prepare, comrades, for that event!
Suck it bourgeoisie, quiet quitting is just going back to the old ways 😂 squeezing out every drop of profit like a casting couch audition, at the expense of the worker is antithetical to efficiency
Disassembling an entire temple is crazy
35:49 And we all still don't know where da heck is The Amber Room. 8th World Wonder just vanished and its sad
P sure the consensus is they burned the stockpiled amber during the retreat.
@@iandonnelly6684 now that's ultrasad. And a lesson to not use amber as a building material. Thing burns, that's no good
Hasan talking about the keyboard has me thinking. I wonder if I could make one from scratch. Like mine the ore, process it, everything. It would be like a lifetime project
Who amongst us hasn’t had a negative bronzer buying experience.
28:20. The oldest writings known are business records.
Dammit hasan youre right i am at work listening with an earbud
I appreciate Hasan talking about Lay-offs/Redundancies ❤
One of the first worker strikes was during the end of the Bronze Age. Paid slaves demanded to be paid and did a sit in strike when building Ramesses the thirds tomb. It is depicted and written on the tomb. The pharaoh was very proud of how he handled it. Most recorded documents throughout human history are of business transactions
Been watching hasan for a minute now and I think he could moonlight as a voice actor , the range of different impressions and shit he can do is pretty broad 😂

I am at work right now, office job but i working from home....I speed up and slow down through the day.
If Historia Civilis is considered lazy for only releasing two videos every once in a while , Internet Historian should be considered the most MARXIST of all judging by his uploads
But oh no , IE is le normie youtuber , not being critical of capitalism , thus not a commie !
I'm at work watching this right now.

Hasan doing a "medieval Russell Brand" impression was amazing! lol
Necessity is the mother of all inventions. The necessity now: Money.
Good to see SOME editing on his reactions now that he was put on blast.
Anarcho feudalism is tbh basically the adventure time world.
Also tolkien was an anarcho monarchist. That's the funniest thing to think about

10:23 BRO I LITERALLY AM RIGHT NOW 💀
I worked at a call center for 4 years with a huge emphasis on “metrics” where the time of the call was more important than anything else and something that people got fired over. It was so incredibly stressful for me and I haven’t worked since I quit because I don’t ever want to be exploited like that ever again. But yea I guess I’m just lazy
i'm an anarchist and i didn't take a shower today. i feel attacked.
You know why Casino's don't have clocks? So the guests don't realize how long they've been there , so they'll spend more time on slots and tables.
My office had a nap room. But the use was limited to 7 minutes.
fyi, berrypicking for profit is thing in finland, locals do it and imported (some humanright cases incourt) workforce too..
For the record, some people do still berry pick for profit... to the point that some states have outlawed technologies that make the berry picking process faster at the expense of the ecology (ex. ID - berry rakes)
